seunnuga:It is too late bro...decisions have been taken.I am a very experienced investor and can't tolerate such financial recklessness when there are many healthy alternatives and competitors. They should learn through the hard way.I have already pushed the exit button! |
[quote author=ndidigood post=71179530]l am experiencing the same thing now About #1435 difference. What could be the reason? I have not experienced this since I started investing in MMF. |
I have noticed that my interest in stanbic MMF has reduced on two occasions instead of increase. I have sent a mail to then and they acknowledged my mails but no explanations. My question is,can one experience decrease after a day's transaction on MMF ?This is happening to my interest twice since after the sanction from CBN.... |
We bless God for healing your mum. |

murphyrichy:Bidding holds on 29th of this month...the rate is determined by CBN,no one is privileged to know the rate prior to bidding but one can forecast based on available indices. |
Ennamdee:...will check my messages on WhatsApp nw.I ve been busy, sorry for late response. |
Ikmontana1:Increase in price of crude means more money to FG because $74 is above the budgeted bench mark. Therefore, there will be more money in excess crude account. As a result of the more money available to government for spending, they may not go into borrowing more money which implies that interest rate will remain the same or even reduce. In practical terms TB rate will remain the same or reduce as a result of spike in crude price to $74. |
ronnyboo:Yesterday and today r public holidays, the interest for the two days would be added in the morning hours of Thursday. So relax,ur fund is growing. |
meetchandus:Tnx bro...for your questions catch me on WhatsApp : +four four seven four five nine one three five one four six . |
aremso:Amen to your prayers bros. All glory to God! Whether people complain about the economy or not I still make my profits. I know when to invest or to pull out having been in the Tb game for close to a decade.Na God win... |
Johnadelaide00:I will go practical but leave theories for now. I changed my 10,000pounds sterling towards end of January this year when exchange rate was N500 to a pound. That gave me N5,000,000.00.I invested same @Tb @ 13.3% then for 182days giving me an interest of N331,200 approximately after deductions. I have reinvested same principal after maturity for another 182days @10.2% giving my another upfront interest of N254,000 approximately after deductions. Instead of keeping my 10,000pounds idle in my room(bearing in mind risk of theft and arson) I have made an interest of N331,200+N254,000=N585,200 which I invested in my MMF. Now,the true value of my 10,000pounds is N5,585,200.Converting it back to pounds at the current exchange rate of N460 is 12,142pounds Therefore, I have made additional 2,142pounds on my initial 10,000pounds plus the little change running on MMF. ![]() If I had kept the 10,000pounds in my room, the true value of the money would have been N4,600,000 now. ![]() Summary, be wise in investment, don't always follow theoretical bases;watch the economy and forecast well bf investing. In my case,I do monitor exchange rate daily, I knew rate will be highest towards January ending n beginning of February BC of rush for forex as a result of payment of school fees abroad. I watch exchange rate hit N510-N515 then started declining and I forecasted it would not rise beyond those figures.I settled for N500 the day I went for transaction and behold after that week rate started declining.I am aware there may be other risk of devaluation of our Naira, but prior to any devaluation there is always news n noise including debates about that.Another strong indicator for devaluation is falling oil prices and whenever I notice that I would terminate my investment at maturity and convert my Naira to foreign currency. |
Gavrelino123:A good investor knows when to take a latent risk and when to avoid it.#MBA703 |
ahiboilandgas:The rate for TB may never go beyond 13% till Feb .even with fear factor. Also, remember that rate increase also affect MMF positively. |
RealityShot:This is a very critical question. The inputs of gurus are needed in respect of this. Our polity is heated and may still get worse in coming months, this democracy may be truncated (though we don't pray for such) considering the way things are evolving. In my opinion, locking funds in TB for more than 3months now or after February may be risky.I would prefer MMF;after all both are yielding almost same returns and because one can easily pull out should there be unforseen circumstances. #myhumbleopinion. |
davit:Your account will be debited if it hasn't.Sorry for replying late. |
NgeneUkwenu:If your analysis is as one sided as this ....then you are more useless and myopic than PDP.QED |
Has any one received interest from yesterday's TB especially from FBN? |
madridguy:May Amadioha fire you for not seeing any fault in those lopsided appointments. May our God marginalise you in His blessings. |
Ochux01:We can never let you be.This forum is strictly for MMF investments,no derailment. So take your bogus /Scam/Punzi advert to somewhere else.As long as you keep posting that bogus investment here, we shall continue warning the new comers about the dangers of your claims. So park well. |
Happy birthday Seun |
mespusinglez:YES,I graduated without any carry over in FUTO.I am a testimony. However,it took a very strong decision from me including denying myself so many things. |
Miders:Yes,Stanbic Ibtc MMF recently upgraded their maximum top up to N5m via quickteller. |
Hamthablow:Your interest is N3,000,000-N2,925,205.48=N74,794.52 before the deductions. Using:I=PRT/100 The rate will be:R=N74,794.52*400/N3,000,000=9.9726 The rate therefore is approximately 10% But your actually interest after deductions is N74,794.52.-N100-N1047.95=N73,646.57. At the maturity of your investment, you will have N3,000,000.00 credited into your account. Hope this helps? |
Ghost01:It seems these issues are coming up after the IBTC app and website maintenance. Is there anyone in the forum who has successfully top up using the app after their last week maintenance? Please, share your story so that others can learn;that's the essence of this forum. |
joseph1013:First bank will credit ur account on Thursday morning without alert while Stanbic IBTC will credit your account Thursday evening with alert. So,ur alert will drop before the close of work today. |
