Yes!! it has to play out the way you said it because you graduated from the same mental institution with Kanu.
Where in the world has that nonsense Kanu said happened?
Well done. I stand with Nnamdi Kanu in his quest to free us from Nigeria. If that is not OK with you, we have no apology. Biafra will come to pass by the grace of the Almighty Who does not change. Biafrans in diaspora who want to return home are at liberty and those who desire to live outside Biafraland are equally free just like other foreign nationals. Once again, thanks for the insults. We shall get our referendum. Biafrans who wish to stay at home or return are at liberty and those who wish stay or sojourn outside Biafra are equally free and vice versa. No intimidation or threat of eviction will stop Biafra's realization.

You don't even know the boundaries and have you asked everyone if they want a referendum? Or are you trying to impose it them?

Go get the referendum and secession the north had agreed to, what's the problem plan?
Biafra is made up of the old Eastern Region and any other group that wants to join. Referendum is simply an exercise to determine whether people (the majority) support a cause or not. It is their vote of 'no' that shows they do not want to join. You can not know the peoples' mind until you subject it to an independent referendum. What we keep on reading is this person said bla, bla bla, that group said, bla, bla, bla. Most of those opinions are sponsored or mere propaganda. But you appear to be so much afraid of referendum. Why? Is it because in your hearts of hearts, you know a lot of people - Igbos and other ethnic nationalities actually want Biafra. Don't worry. Just fight for yours. It is well.

You don't get it, ndigbo up north are in danger already because of his hate speeches on air and online and he has sensitized other ethnicities to hate ndigbo, anything can happen and don't think that Abuja is safe .
Meanwhile, those regions know their boundaries before seeking for a referendum, tell me the boundary of Biafra as we speak.
Hatred for Igbos did not start with NNAMDI Kanu's alleged hate speeches. Rather, it was such hatred that brought about KANU in the first place. Igbos have for decades been the proverbial endangered species in Nigeria. If the desire by Igbos and others to secede led by Kanu has increased hatred for Igbos so let it be. We cant continue in thr same country eith thise who hate ud. "He that is down needs fear no fall". As for the boundary between Nigeria and Biafra, let the people decide. Thanks.

You forgot that the agitating for referendum wasn't based on hate and name calling in those countries and Nigeria has every right to ammend her laws inrespective of any international treaties.
Though I don't support hate or name calling, who told you it was not part of their own agitations? Ordinary presidential election in US last year was characterized by arguably the most unprecedented hate and gutter language in the history of the country. Even at that, why not arrest and prosecute those involved if you believe they committed crimes instead of threatening a tribe with quit notice. I think some people are either uneducated or simply chose to be mischievous and barbaric. You think the threat will intimidate and stop Biafra from leaving Nigeria? You are wrong sir.

It is a wonderful thing to be saved through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Salvation as become one of the prerequistite of making heaven as stated by Jesus in the book of John3:3.
I was a sinner before, yes a sinner I was before Jesus came into my heart. The bible says, ''For all have sin and have come short of the glory of God''. ''For out of iniquities did my mother conceived me''.
But I thanked God for saving my soul from eternal damnation. Jesus came into my heart on 31st October 2001. It all happened in an end of the year crusade organised by NTCM. After listening to the powerful sermon delivered by the General Overseer- Pastor Moses Rahaman Popoola, I was conviced of my sin and I went out to meet Jesus when the altar call was made.
Although, it was not too easy to part away from my sinful friends at the beginning of my journey with Christ but the Lord help me. I received power over sin just as He has promised in John1:12.
I attended a follow up program organised by the church in order to help me establish my faith in Christ Jesus. After that I joined a disciplship school which lasted for about 3 years. I also did workers' training in the same church.
I give thanks to The Almighty God for His love that found me. I also thank Him for helping me to continue with Him.

This is just the summary of my salvation.
Share yours.

If you have not received Jesus Christ into your life, you can do so now before it will be too late for you.
To God be the glory!

Just because his father was grandson of Dan FodiO grin That does not make him a FULANI. To be a Fulani you have to look like a one.

Anybody with Knowledge of whom Hausa or Fulani are ,will aggured Sir Ahmadu Bello is not a Fulani. (He might have little Fulani blood in him) But, But you can't ignore the fact that his Looks, Body structure is not of Fulani but of Hausa.

Like my Paternal and maternal grandmothers are pure Fulani descent and my merternal grandfather is a mixture of both (Hausa/Fulani). My Father happens to took after his father (who I will say he is a among the rear pure Hausawa) . Tho, in my family sometimes we jokingly point out who is more Hausa and who is more a Fulani. Honestly we all think of ourselves as Hausa

We speak hausa, leave with hausa ,share abode,Religion and culture with hausa. And some of my Kins will be pissed off if you were to call them none hausa. And that natural

Pure Hausa are very rear.Their intermarriage does not start with Fulani nor had it ever been Monopoly to any tribe grin lol(Allow me to use that word) .If hausa falls in love with you and you get married to him/her . You ,your Feature Children will probably gave up your Religion, Culture and most importantly your language to Hausa.

My argument is that you cannot call someone with typical hausa look a Fulani or call someone with typical Fulani look a Hausa. It's will be ridiculous for a Black Person with black mother and White Britsh father to call himself a whiteman grin

Sir Ahmadu Bello is more of a Hausa than he is a Fulani. His culture,His language, His looks/ structures all indicated that.

Present day Hausa is more of a language than it is an ethic.when I was 15 thought of my Zabarmawa childhood friends as Hausa smiley only lately I found out they are not. In west northern state it's not a big deal if you are Hausawa, Fulani, zabarmawa as long you speak hausa it's every Hausa and none hausa Will looks you as Hausa(to some extant) Sai in gardama ta tashi a tunama Kai Ba Hausa bane. Lol ;
Thanks a lot. You ended up saying what we have always believed, that Hausas and Fulanis are so mixed together, one can hardly distinguish one from the other. So nothing new. In other words, Hausas and Fulanis are virtually one and the same. Thanks.

I had been attending church even was a worker and a Sunday Schhol Teacher for years but remained a sinner. One fateful day, a younger colleague of mine whose life challenged me was asked to give a moral talk to the students on the Assembly ground. That was on Friday, 12th November, 1999. Though brief, the moral talk turned to a sermon that my self-righteous and religious but filthy soul could not resist. I decided for Christ now and then. On Thursday, 18th November, 1999, I woke up to realize I was saved! My life had completely changed. One of my old sinful friends gave me a few months to come back to them. But thank God, it is close to 18 years now and His grace has been sufficient for me. I pray that His grace will continue to keep us who have taken this glorious decision till the end I J N, Amen.

Hmm... My birth day! How can I ever forget thee? The joy unspeakable that overflowed my heart when my SAVIOUR with tender loving care lifted from off my shoulder my burden of sin. That glorious day was Sunday, December 5, 2010!

Prior to this glorious day, I had lived a very bad life. I was a big time liar, a thief, in my place of work I would collect bribe and give undeserved positions to those who could pay, above all, I was a sex addict. I was all these despite the fact that I was a regular church attendee.

I didn't want to live like that but I could not help it. The more I tried to live right, the more I found myself doing more of evil. It came to a point I could not live two days without sex. I would feel like being surforcated! I taught marriage would help and I therefore got married in 2008 to the only woman I ever loved thinking I would not be able to cheat on her. Alas! Things got worse after few months into the marriage! I began to have chains of girlfriend; I slept with anything in skirt! Young, old, married and single. It was so bad I had it with my wife's cousin and had relationship with my landlord's daugher. I gave my life completely to do evil after I had tried so much to live right but could not. My wife was always in tears and there was no peace in my home.

Then, on December 3, 2010; I met two new girls and had plan to do the usual with each of them the next Sunday. I came to church as usual and when the preacher mounted the pulpit, I said a silent prayer that he would finish early so I could meet up with my girls because I had given them different time of the day. I can't explain how, but before the end of the message, something entered into my heart and convicted me of my sins, my hardened heart was softened and for the first time I saw how dirty and unworthy I was. The burden was so much on me that I fell on my kneels and cried out to God for help. Right there and then, The Lord came into my heart and took my burden away and there was a joy in my heart that words cannot describe.

Ever since, my story has changed! There's peace in my heart and home. The lifestyle I taught I could not do without, has become a thing of the past. The Lord gave my a new Spirit and vision. Praise ye The Lord!
Alleluya!

Your prayer moved me. What you are going through is called Holy Ghost conviction. The God you are looking for is actually looking for you too.
Here are a few steps I took and found peace
1. accept you are a sinner.
2. confess every sin you remember committing to God. Ask Him to remind you of them and confess them all. When we approach God, we come clean before Him (He that hideth his sins shall not prosper but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy)
3. renounce them. promise God you won't go back to them.
4. accept God's offer of mercy. Don't think your sins are too many for God to forgive. believe that Jesus forgives you

As you pray from a broken and contrite heart, you will KNOW when you are forgiven! Peace will fill your heart. You will have the joy of salvation. Much more importantly is that the sinful things you were doing before, you will loathe them. I don't say you will be struggling to avoid them, but that you will so hate them that if you were an alcoholic, the smell of alcohol will be revolting to you.
It is real and you can have this experience when you pray

It is not a new thing when christians are defeated in an argument or debate. It is usually common. One thing I have noticed is that almost at the point of christians realising that they are in error, they resort to evasion by bringing up pointless argument, threat and insults (if possible). All of these do not contribute anything to the argument at hand.

THREATS AND INTIMIDATION
When christians are obviously defeated and have nothing to say or contribute further, they escape arguments with threats like "..... hmm, I pity you repent before it's too late." as if it contributes to the argument. Other threats and intimidation include "....may you not realise the truth on the day of judgment.", "... do not increase the wrath of God. " Oga o.

INSULT
Suppose the non-christian who defeated the christian in the were to be a poor man or a begger, they would skip the argument with ".... see who is speaking against God. no wonder your life is like this.", ".... you see your life. You better come to Jesus to fix it. No wonder it is like this. " smh.

VAGUE REPLY AND POINTLESS REPLY
A man was addressing the question "why won't God heal amputees?" and he replied "... there is a man who can preach to people despite the fact that he was born without limbs. So you see, God can use you where you are and what ever your condition is." *facepalms*. He gave a vague answer. When a topic attacks the existence of God, some on nairaland reply with "another useless topic.", "this one is frustrated.","my brother, believe me God is real." etc. these replies usually have nothing to do with the argument.

IGNORING THE ARGUMENT
This happens on nairaland a lot. When you open a thread with sound arguments that would shake any faith, christians view it and ignore it. One or two that reply utilise any of the aforementioned points.

KingEbukasBlog, hopefulLandlord, HardMirror, catfishbilly, analice107, otemanuduno, Johnydon22, etc.
Well done. The mandate God gave us is to win souls - convert sinners to saints not to win arguments. If I win argument and lose you, I have not achieved anything. On the other hand, your winning faith-based arguments does change anything - it only hardens you and makes matters worse for you. Nobody by searching can find out God (Job 11:7). It by the 'foolishness' of believing the gospel that you get saved (1st Corinthians 1:18-25). I know that sounds weird to you and your likes but it is simply a harmless fact. This is how I got saved - I simply believed the gospel I heard and repented of my sins and my life changed drastically! You have a choice sir. May God have mercy on you as He had on me I J N, Amen.

i would've loved to butress your points.. but i don't want to derail this thread.. maybe you can create another thread for these new discussions and mention me.. I'll reply to the last statement of your post because it relates to the thread

once again.. i don't follow paul... and no... shedding of blood is not needed for the remission of sins.. the Israelites may have done rituals.. but that isn't what Jesus Christ came to establish.. at times i still wonder what we missed that made the Jesus' version of God somewhat different from that of the old testament.. Jesus said “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us... i sort of missed the part requiring you to spill goat blood

believing on a substitute for your sins is laziness.. Jesus didn't come to be a substitute for our mess.. he came to show Israel how to change that nature that caused sin.. his laws can also be applied on a universal scale.. like i said before.. the law had its flaws.. humans or at least the Israelites then had a certain nature that made laws ineffective.. no matter how many laws they were given.. their nature was what you could classify as “sinful".. laws didn't change that nature.. it just restricted them from certain acts.. someone with the nature of love doesn't need a death penalty to tell him that killing the innocent is wrong... funny thing.. the Jews didn't believe in hell

the audience of Jesus were Jews.. different religions have different views of heaven.. so you would be going to the hindu hell as much as a hindu would be going to your hell.. don't force everything into one worldview with your religion as the true one without any universal reason.. salvation.. from that sinful nature is gotten by obeying the commandments of God through Christ.. which is love... people can be raised in love.. raised in the commandments.. their souls would radiate positive energy and they would be creating heaven for their souls...
Well, I see I am discussing with an alien to my Christian faith. I shouldn't have. We are two parallel lines. Bye.

Picking the disparity between the emancipated Hausas and the exposed Fulanis is a daunting task because of acculturation and assimilation. Many northerners now wear Baban riga, Dan dogo with cap, speak Hausa and marry more than one wife. In fact, many Yoruba muslims do just that.

However, Fulanis rear cows in large quantity and in most cases value the life of cows than humans'. Many educated Fulanis still rear cows, a good example is our sick president, he still rears cows in his hometown. Hausas on the other hand, are farmers; even till today. They plant onions that we all eat and beans.

Hausa and Fulani are now fused into one, Hausa/Fulani. It's like trying to tell the difference between Deltans and Igbos. They are one at the superficial level. Education has changed everything. There are notable Hausa people like: Jelani Aliyu that designed GM’s First Electric Car, Manman Kontagora, Aminu Tambwa as well as Fulani people like Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Muhammadu Buhari, Faruq Lawal - the rep that hid dolla in his cap etc.

In a layman language, you need to move closer and ask. Get the answer from the horse's mouth
Thanks a lot. But your analogy with Deltans and Igbos is way off the mark - Delta is a State in Nigeria while Igbo is an ethnic group in Nigeria that spreads across the South-East and parts of Rivers and Delta States. But your intention was well understood. Thanks a lot.

cultural differences :

Hausawa: my Tribe

hausawa are homogeneous, have many different way of life with Fulani and don't share any cultural similarities but share thesame Islamic cultural. tho the Fulani in cities have adopted to hausa culture and language one can simply differentiate them. Hausa are Farmers and engaged in many different jobs (skills jobs) while must Fulanis are cow/sheeps rearers. hausa rear those animals too .the difference is the Fulanis are Nomads they run from place to place to rear their Animals.

Pupulation: Hausa

Real HAUSA: about 40million native Hausa mostly from Nigeria and Niger Republic. the Hausas come only from Nigeria and Niger Republic. they are the real Hausawa.

Diluted/Mixed Hausa: 20million

This are the Hausawa scattered in Chad, Cameroon, Togo, Ghana, sudan etc. They are descendent of Hausa from Nigeria and Niger Republic. who after leaving their original homes, settles with other Africans and they are now sees as hausas. And yes they are. just that they are not living in their original homes.

FULANI: around 20million

Religion:HAUSA/FULANI

HAUSA: 99% of Hausa are Muslims the remaining 2% are either pagans or Christians

FULANI: Fulani in Nigeria are 90% Muslims, the 10% goes to Pegans and Christianity .

location : Hausa

Nigeria, Niger Republic, Ghana, Mali, Togo, Cameroon, sudan ,Eritrea, Saudi Arabia

Everywhere you can find hausawa then their are Fulanis either living among them or so close to them.
But Hausa are cannot be found all places where Fulanis are.

Physical Features :

Hausawa: Hausa have typical look of Chadic people/chadic different groups.

(1)Giants :Hausa are Extremely strong Giants. Every about them is massive, from their foots prints to their Giants Mit .hausa are just huge. take a look at old late hausa leaders.

(2) bigs/smale slant eyes, Body . straight and Hooters Noses,

(3) Hausa are Dark in complexion. Hausa are very dark people like must of the chadic in Sahel. The lighter a real Hausa not mixed can be is Chocolate.

FULANI: most of Fulanis are Tall but not giants, Fulani are known to be very Slim and Lanky. they can hardly have a fattish body even if they want to. only 10% of Fulani can grow fat.

Complexion: majority Fulanis a Red in colour. then cream clour Fulani then black. let me put it into percentage.

50% Red ,40 black, 10% light cream

Structure: majority are tall, With Little wive hair or straight

hair. Typical Fulani dnt have Kinky hair like ours Hausa. and

they got a very lanky body, Long jaw, some with Broad

Forqp\eheads like that of Ethiopians. The least percentage of

Fulani look mixed African American. the reaming

percentage just look like those in Far-east west Africans

mixed with Berbers/Buzaye

Let me clear one thing. I and All my Extended Family are combination both Hausa and Fulani . My parents, their parents are mixed Hausa/Fulani. Tho, I consider myself a (Bahaushe) a Hausa. I will not allowed anyone to disrespect any of this group. Even that person comes from Them. tau, Kapin wasu Yan iska su zagan.
Thanks a lot. I do not subscribe to any form of insult or disrespect to anybody. Your closing remarks concur with the general view that the Hausawa and the Fulanis are sometimes mixed. But one thing is still missing in your write-up. I was expecting you to give me examples of notable Nigerian Hausa men and women living or dead. Still waiting. Thanks for the info.

I don't know where some so-called Christians got theirs from. The only difference is that being a Christian is a personal thing - repentance from the heart which of course shows in the dressing/appearance. As much as one should not dress in a way that tempt others, forcing people to dress in a particular way or to cover up does not make them Christians. Thanks.

In the north there are other tribes order than Hausa and Fulanis but the duo overpowered, subjugated and relegated other tribes. For instance, in Niger state, we have: Nupe, Gbagi/Gwari, Kadara, Koro, Kakanda, Baruba/Boko-Baru, Kumi etc before the Hausas n Fulanis came. But now the Nupes hardly have a say where the Hausas are deciding matters.

Why? This is because Hausas use the policy of "Assimilation". In Minna, the Capital of Niger state, Hausa is the official language. People learn Hausa, speak the language and get acculturated. I use Niger as an example to explain to you that Hausa/Fulani are not the only people in the north.

Now to the matter, Hausas have fourteen tribes, seven legitimate and seven illegitimate (Banza bokwai). They used to be predominantly farmers - groundnut, beans, onions, rice, carrot n millet. They also, sell marchandice like Horses, carmel, donkeys, gold and honey. This show their early exposure to the Arab world.

The Fulanis on the other hand, are cattle rearers. They are of two types: Bororo and Hausaje. The Hausajes build houses near towns and villages and inter-marry while the Bororos are deadly normad. They don't stay and have penchant for crime. They graze on people's farm are run away.

However, Fulanis and Hausas are now educated and what do you expect when people see what they never imagined? Bad occurence

We voted one Fulani man to help us find the missing Chibok girls, he also went missing
Thanks. I am well aware that there are other tribes/ethnic groups in the north of Nigeria. You made mention of what the Hausas were known for. What about now? Apart from Hausa language which is like the lingua franca in the north, how else can one identify the Hausa as distinct from the Fulani? You also did not give me any examples of notable Hausa men or women. Please I really need more enlightenment. Thanks.

the synoptic Gospels are not the only sources on the life of Jesus.. there are tons of other letters attributed to him... reading about their histories, authors and causes of the testimonies will give you a clearer picture of who Jesus was... i don't rely on only the four gospels... especially with the rumor of the rcc editing a few things

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

like i said earlier .. reading genuine gospels attributed to him will give you a clearer picture... i do not deny the fact that individual authors tend to put a little bias in their writings.. but a wide scope will bring you closer to the picture.. its not about knowing if that statement was made by him.. although its important.. its not the main point.. the big picture is to get the main point of his message
So you are implying that some authors of the Bible(John in particular) added to, subtracted from or modified what Christ said. No sir, I would rather go with John than with you (a faceless fellow whose motives I do not know). Besides, the authors of the Scriptures as well as those who put them together into the Book (the holy Bible) know the import of Duetronomy 4:2 and Revelation 22:18,19). Thanks.

i don't follow Paul

I'm not here to prove that the scriptures are in harmony.. abiding in Jesus means obeying his commandments.. not “believing in him".. he brought the commandments from God and gave to the Israelites.. Jesus is divine but did not go around telling people that his divinity was the key to salvation...if he did, then why would he tell Peter not to tell anyone that he was the Christ?.. majority of the scriptures referring to Jesus (not just the rcc handpicked ones) portray Jesus as being somewhat divine or above human but did not base salvation on him.. John is the only gospel that emphasizes divinity.. ever wonder why?
You are entitled to your opinion sir. All Scriptures is inspired and true so needless to compare John with Mark, Luke or Ephesians (2nd Timothy 3:16). Christ is divine, there is no two ways about that and it is written all over the Scriptures but that is not the issue. Salvation from sin is not based on His divinity but on the fact that a ransom (shedding of blood) must be paid for remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22; 10:4,10,12,18). Christ became and remains the only Perfect and Permanent Substitute for for sinful humanity and therefore repentance and believing on Him is required for salvation. Believing on the Substitute and Saviour is a testament to the fact that my salvation is not based on my good works or moral standing. I have nothing to boast of (Ephesians 2:9). Christ paid it all. Any 'salvation' outside Christ leads to somewhere else but definitely not God's heaven, the place Christ has gone to prepare for us(John 14:1-3) Thanks.
CultureWhat Are The Basic Differences Between Hausas And Fulanis? by UnchangeableGod(op): 10:30am On Jul 19, 2017
Most of the time, we mix Hausas and Fulanis together as though they are one and the same. Although, they share similarities in culture and religion, they have basic differences. Please can someone enlighten me as to the basic differences between the two tribes as well as examples of notable Nigerian Hausas. Thanks.

those people are already in heaven... with that kind of behavior.. they have created heaven for their minds.. they give and radiate positive energy.. they possess love.. at least to a great extent ...people who continue like that are sure to have a heavenly afterlife... any religion that tells you that you need to accept someone.. be it Jesus or Mohammad or Mithras... is lying...its all a setup for control... being born again is being born of love.. the kind of love Jesus stood for... salvation didn't depend on the invented nicene creed.. even though I'm not religious.. I'll leave you with some of the alleged words of Jesus himself

Luke 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 10:26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

OK. How about these "But we are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousnesses is as filthy rags.......(Isaiah 64:6); Ephesians 2:8-13; Titus 3:5-8; and the very words of Christ Himself "......for without me you can do nothing" (John 15:4). I believe we should balance the Scriptures. What I deduce is that our good works though desirable, cannot on their own save anyone, only genuine repentance and faith in Christ can. But after we are saved, we cannot but live right as a consequence of our conversion - (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 3:cool. Thanks.

our righteousness is as unfilthy rags before God's sight. No matter the morality we have it still can't please God cos nothing good dwells in our flesh.

We need an imputed righteousness which is only thru accepting Jesus Chris and His finished works at the cross. When you believe in Him and accept Him to be your Lord and Savior then you're already righteous in God's sight (2 Corinthians 5 vs 21)

Keep asking questions were you don't understand. thanks
Well said.

There is what I call SPIRITUAL POLITICS. The founders of beliefs play this on their followers. They are after numbers.
And what do you think is wrong with this postulation by preachers sir? Is it not the scriptural truth?

your god is responsible for it in the first place. he claims to be omniscience yet he created devil..
I think you are derailing this thread sir. My aim of bringing out this topic is not to doubt the existence of God, neither is it meant to blaspheme Him so you are on your own sir. Back to topic. Why is it still necessary for good and peaceful people to be born again to escape eternal damnation?
