PoliticsRe: Update: Dangote Not A Member Of APC Campaign Council - Presidency by UnchangeableGod: 10:48am On Dec 29, 2018
Omotaday:
They clarified his status not denying putting his name on the list, nor Dangote came out to deny. Read the topic well. Dangote along Otedola are just part of the advisory commitee, to give advices to the president.
Mr man who can read better, I ask: is Dangote's name on the President's advisory council on governance or on the 2019 presidenial elections? The list I saw is exclusively about the 2019 presidential elections that is why it is made up of politicians who are basically APC members.

Still waiting to read comments from Dangote and Otedola themselves.

Nigerians are anxious to learn where they stand.
Reading in between the lines, you will deduce that Dangote must have called the APC leadership to protest the inclusion of his name in their Campaign Council. Any businessman can donate to a political party or more than one political party. But that should be a private matter. Moreover, it is morally wrong to include one's name in a partisan matter such as this without the person's authorized consent. Is it blackmail or desperation? It is totally uncalled for.

Why putting his name on the list
That is the question a lot of sane minds are asking. My thought is that the ruling APC will be spending a lot in the 2019 campaign and elections. As people wonder where and how they got the stupendous money, the natural reply from the party and their supporters would be, "Billionaires Dangote and Otedola are part of our Campaign Council".
PoliticsRe: Name Them Economic Team, Not Campaign Team - Atiku, PDP Blasts Buhari, APC by UnchangeableGod: 10:04am On Dec 29, 2018
I have this feeling that the names of Dangote and Otedola were added to the Campaign Council of APC because the ruling party will spend massively in the forthcoming elections and people will wonder how they came across such huge amount. People will accuse them of looting the nation's treasury to fund their campaigns. Then the APC apologists would reply "Don't you know that Dangote and Otedola are part of the Campaign Council?"
PoliticsIs There Any Politician That Is Not Corrupt? by UnchangeableGod(op): 10:37pm On Dec 28, 2018
By corruption, I mean the use of public office or privilege for selfish ends. Contrary to popular impression, corruption is not limited to embezzlement of public funds. It includes the use of one's position to unduly influence people to do one's bidding. According to the Scriptures, corruption is part of our adamic nature or inherited depravity. It is only a person who was not conceived by means of a man meeting a woman that is not corrupt. Corruption manifests in form of selfishness or selfcentredness, greed, clannishness, nepotism, favoritism, partiality, double standard, lies, hatred, envy, vindictiveness, unhealthy competition, blame shifting etc. We are all corrupt, irrespective of background, upbringing, education, training, outward dispostion, public perception, reputation, preaching, grandstanding, human rights activism etc. It is when we get access to power that our real nature comes out. It is only when the Saviour is allowed entrance into our hearts that the cancer of corruption can be cured. God bless all.

Dangote will never never never campaign for APC or any politicians. That man have got discipline, however he may donate money. I can't say same about Otedola though
In my view, even if Dangote and Otedola as businessmen are willing to fund a politician's campaign, they should have done that secretly and not have allowed their names to appear as members of the Campaign Council. That is my candid view. But who am I to advice them?
PoliticsRe: Only Two People Are Not Corrupt In Nigeria – Balarabe Musa by UnchangeableGod: 5:31pm On Dec 27, 2018
The holy Writ has proclaimed all souls corrupt by nature (Genesis 6:11,12). It is otherwise called Adamic nature or inherited depravity. No matter our moral upbringing, training, culture, religiosity, reputation or outward disposition, corruption is imbedded in our DNA. "What can wash away my stains?" "Nothing but the blood of Jesus". Sincerity, genuine repentance from sin and faith in the Saviour is the only solution.

I quite agree with you Sir.

PoliticsRe: If The System Was Working Before 2015, You'd Be In Jail - Buhari Replies Atiku by UnchangeableGod: 1:18pm On Dec 27, 2018
stephanie11:
@POLITICSNGR

Below is a statement from the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization made available to PoliticsNGR;

Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar disputing the assertion by President Muhammadu Buhari that the system in Nigeria allows corruption to thrive because the system is slow in tackling corruption. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar further blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for perceived failure in addressing some instances of ‘corrupt practices’ under his watch.

Let us remind Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that he is one of the greatest beneficiaries of the failed system in tackling corruption that was in place before President Muhammadu Buhari took over in 2015. We know he is aware of this, hence his latest diatribe against President Muhammadu Buhari amounts to nothing but disgusting grandstanding and an attempt to mock the system.

If the system in Nigeria was indeed working, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would not have acquired substantial shares in INTELS in clear conflict of his duties as a Customs Officer whilst in office. Those shares would have belonged to the Nigerian people by now.

If the system in Nigeria was indeed working, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would not have run a monopolistic company called INTELS all these years, ripping off the Nigerian people and the Nigerian State before Muhammadu Buhari came and broke that monopoly.

If the system was working, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would have been prosecuted and jailed for various acts of corruption and abuse of office after he left office as Vice President, some of which are:

(a) For himself and his boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo, granting themselves licenses to build universities as President and Vice President whilst in office in clear breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers. Those Universities would have been probed, seized and transferred to the Nigeria State and the Nigerian people by now.

(b) Laundering slush funds to the United States of America using phony companies, part of which was used to fund his present American University in Adamawa State through which he is also extorting Nigerians through exorbitant fees. It is public knowledge that this indictment is contained in a US Congressional Report that has led to the prosecution and conviction of his accomplices in the US, which are William Jefferson and Siemens. They were convicted under a system that works, whilst he has been walking free in Nigeria and even aspiring to the highest office in the land. It is also public knowledge that his ban from entering the United States was as a result of these indictments.

(c) His indictment and recommendation for prosecution by the Report of the EFCC over the PTDF scandal whilst he was Vice President.

We have also read with keen interest the case filed against Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by some public spirited Nigerians alleging that he never paid his Personal Income Taxes as at when due, yet he wants to ‘get Nigeria working again’. In this regard, we are also challenging Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to publicly display his Personal Income Tax receipts for the 3 years preceding 2018 to show that he did not just run to FIRS in 2018 to pay his backlog of Personal Income Taxes.

For the information of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, President Muhammadu Buhari’s gallant efforts in tackling corruption headlong has led to the conviction of the President’s own party men and ex Governors who served under PDP and for acts they committed whilst in PDP. 703 persons and institutions have been convicted by the EFCC under the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari since 2015. The biggest recoveries of stolen public funds in the history of Nigeria are being carried out by President Muhammadu Buhari. These recoveries were made from principally his party men who now wish to lead Nigeria with him. Some of these recoveries/seizures/forfeitures (interim and final) are:

(a) 407 Mansions since 2015.
(b) N794 Billion, over $261 Million Dollars, 1.1 Million Pounds Sterling, 8.1 Million Euros,
(c) 259 Automobiles.
(d) A fully functional hospital, St. Solomon Health Care Centre at 24, Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja Lagos e.t.c.

There are so many other instances too numerous to mention. These are a world apart from the few instances of the reluctant fight against corruption that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claimed happened under his watch as Vice President. During his time, there was a competition for corruption between himself, his boss and public officers.

We also urge the PDP to stop making wild, unsubstantiated allegations of corruption without a modicum of proof. We have no time to respond to any allegation by the PDP without the backing of some kind of document or proof. When we see some scintilla of proof, we shall respond appropriately. And that is how we have treated the recent allegation of acquisition of shares in Etisalat and Keystone Bank by some supposed ‘family members’ of the President. No name was mentioned and no document was shown.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar latest adventure in trying to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in matters of integrity with President Muhammadu Buhari is a political suicide mission from which we thought his handlers would have tried to steer him away. But alas! They have decided to test the waters. Locally and internationally President Muhammadu Buhari stands several miles away from Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in matters of integrity. When the President used all his life in public office building a reputation and a name, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar used all his life in public office to build mansions and acquire personal wealth. Now Judgment Day has come when the credentials needed by the Nigerian people for the highest office are not the buildings and wealth but the simple quality of integrity.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar cannot eat his cake and have it.

https://politicsngr.com/system-working-2015-youd-jail-buhari-campaign-replies-atiku/
My simple question is this: whether the system is slow or not, if the APC government is sincere about fighting corruption, why have they not started probing Atiku before now since they came to power if they know he is this corrupt as they now claim?

I don't know why Nigerians are so worked up about Mr President. Going by the level of suffering in the land, there's no way in hell his party will win the 2019 elections. Like Jonathan, he will be shown the door. I'm only perturbed about who will be coming in. We cannot afford another slip up
Sir, I think it is clear to the president and his handlers that he will not win the 2019 presidential elections through a free and fair election. But from all indications, he will do everything possible to be declared the winner. In my candid opinion and from their body language, it is a do or die affair, no thanks to a former president. A huge amount of money, of course, has been budgeted for this. A lot of influential politicians, who have skeletons in their cupboards, are being harassed through EFCC to join the ruling party and help in influencing people under them as well as in vote buying. The governorship elections in Edo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun are test rehearsals. The security agents have shown their bias and I believe are willing to do the bidding of the ruling party. Some of them ought to have been changed owing to the deteriorating security challenges. But since they have been given the privilege to stay put, they have to repay their beneficiary, that is, the current president who appointed them, during the elections. The APC who have been pretending to be saints, knowing fully well that they have a lot of questions to answer, cannot, I repeat, cannot afford to lose and hand over to the opposition whom they have demonized as the only corrupt politicians. Should that happen, a lot of mind bungling corruption cases will be unveiled and many APC politicians will be disgraced and might go to jail. It will be pay back time. As such, APC is very desperate to be declared winners and continue in power. You can see that they have introduced an ethnic dimension to their campaigns and strategies. My prediction is that as the election is glaringly rigged in favour of the ruling APC, part of the North will protest as well as the Southeast. The north will be pacified that political power is yet with them and that by 2023, they know what to do to retain power. Meanwhile, the Southwest will maintain a complicit silence since they have been bribed with 2023 presidency. The Southeast as usual, will be intimidated with the security forces. Well oiled propaganda machinery will be unleashed on the polity. APC is really desperate. I think only God can stop them.

The sad truth is that Buhari isn't interested in fighting corruption.

Buhari is a corrupt Scam that deceived Nigerians into believing his FAKE integrity mantra.

Even Obasanjo jailed his own IG of Police for corruption, GEJ removed Stella Odua on "allegation" of corruption.

What has Buhari done to BabaChir, Baru, Ganduje, Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Amaechi,Wamako, Akpabio, Abdulaziz Yari, Modu Sheriff, Nurianu etc?

All these people have been proven to have stolen government funds meant for development of Nigeria. Yet, Mr integrity - Buhari dines and wines with them as if they are decent human beings?

Buhari is a BIG SCAM! He will sweet-tongue Nigerians again with a thousand fake promises that he has no intentions of keeping.
I don't think there is anybody in Nigeria who doesn't know this nomatter the side of the divide you belong. Knowing fully well that there is virtually nothing to campaign with other than the so called corruption fight which Nigerians already know is selectively partial and politically motivated, the ruling party is now resorting to playing on our selfish ethnic and sectional instincts to attract block votes. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, many are dancing to this base and divisive impulse.
PoliticsRe: Why We Are Slow In Fighting Corruption – Buhari by UnchangeableGod: 1:55pm On Dec 26, 2018
Please, let president Buhari be. The president might be slow or unwilling to fulfill his numerous promises to Nigerians in 2014/2015. It might take eternity for him to order the arrest and prosecute the obviously corrupt in his party and cabinet. He might be slow in dealing with the herdsmen killing squads. He might be slow in obeying court orders that are not favourable to him. But give it to our president: he is not slow in arresting and trying the opposition members in the media, even pronouncing them corrupt looters, he is not slow in brutally dealing with the IPOBS and the Shiite, he is not slow in using the security forces to win elections for his party, he is not slow in reducing every campaign talk to corruption fight and he is certainly not slow in making excuses and blaming others for the failures of his government.
