NwaAmaikpe:

Shame on you Kumuyi for giving audience to a corrupt governor who rigged himself into power against the wish of the people.
ArchBishop Emmanuel Chukwuma will never do this.
My Deeper Life members keep being led astray. Most of them don't even own a black-and-white box TV in their homes. But their spiritual father lives lavishly. You are wrong Sir. Pastor Kumuyi welcomes people who come to visit him and visits dignitaries anywhere he goes to preach the gospel. His meeting them does not in any way suggest that he supports whatever evil they do neither is he into partisan politics. The gospel is meant for all sinners. You don't expect him to act holier than thou when he has a mandate to reach as many people as possible. Hope you now understand? |

gare: They already Know, but you cannot be clamping down on PDP while the once in APC walks around free, western Knows those that are corrupt, so he just making a embarrassing the Government and himself, they are prepared for the worse, they know what they can do, so for peace to reign he should allow a peaceful election if he wins fine, the suffering continues, but if PDP he should quietly handover In my opinion, part of the reason the present Nigerian government is desperate and will like to use any means to hang on to power is because they have made so much noise about fighting corruption giving the impression that they are saints. Should the opposition take over, there will be a lot of cankerworms of corruption that will be revealed about the current 'corruption fighting' regime. This to me is among the reasons this government will do everything possible including using its current advantage of using state apparatus in dismantling the opposition masquerading as orruption fight. Hence this incessant showcasing of corruption fighting credentials by this present government at every world gathering even when it is not necessary. |

gare: I thought the purpose Paris Peace Conference was to establish the terms of the peace after World War. ... Great Britain, France, and Italy fought together during the First World War as Allied Powers.
What I dont Understand is PMB delivery a speech of Illegal Financial flow. I have this feeling that the present Nigerian government wants to use this so-called fight against corruption as an alibi to clamp down seriously on the opposition a few days to the presidential election. Hardly is there any Nigerian politician that is corrupt free. So the government will target the main pillars of the main opposition and their financiers while the main pillars of the ruling party and their financiers will have a field day. The ruling party knows that the main oppostion Peoples Democratic Party, PDP would cry to the international community alleging tyranmy and witch hunt. So I see it that our president wants to use every foreign forum or medium to tell the world ahead that his government's cardinal program is fight against corruption so that when the clamp down comes, the world will say "but that is what he has been doing since he came to power ". My view. Watch out if it comes true. |

sai baba till 2023 Sir, it is a good thing that the international communities and leaders like and respect our president. But to say 'they know what is going on and that he is a man of integrity' as you claim is not altogether true. He can deceive outsiders not his countrymen. Nonetheless, you and your likes have a right to continue supporting him, not necessarily because he does what he sermonizes now and then about fighting corruption. And since you brought in God into the equation, then my prayer is : if president Muhammadu Buhari is sincere about fighting corruption in Nigeria and is a man of integrity indeed, may he win a second term in Jesus' name, Amen. |

In all gathering, he keeps singing corruption corruption corruption, even in a gathering that the theme has nothing to do with corruption. I am not surprised. I expected our president to sermonise once again about 'fighting corruption'. This is what he has been using virtually every foreign forum to do. To me, he wants to be acknowledged as a president who is fighting corruption and when he leaves power, to be remembered for that. Whether he is actually and sincerely fighting this menace of corruption is another ball game. |

Scholar8200: Well, well, well, a Deeper Life bashing thread where many have vented their hate for the Church!!! Reading some comments here, I see people who are : 1. misinformed and do not want to correct their perception by investigation;
2. once members but left due to offences by members/leaders but are still hurting and need some inner healing; root of bitterness defiling many!
3. originally born in Deeper life but grew up with great resentment against the Church because their parents/leaders went about certain things the wrong way and till date, they cant shed that.
4. people who heard that the church emphasizes holiness and joined hoping to be at once surrounded by angels hence when they were disappointed by someone, left but are still bitter!
5. people who are religious but somehow believe Deeper Life forwarded the motion in 1 John 2:15-17 and since they lacked grace to obey pulled out to seek for people who will tell them grace implies that God depreciates certain part of His Word (God Forbid!).
6. others sound as though they will be forced or abducted to marry there .
Corollary? Let's focus on the weightier matters of Grace Titus 2:11-14, Holiness Hebrews 12:14 and Power Acts 1:8. rather than fiddling here with non-essentials while the World burns!!!
P.S. for those who are bitter or resentful, settle it and empty your heart; remember He that hates his brother is a murderer and no murderer has Eternal life 1 John 3:15(paraphrased) and Jesus (If you call Him Lord) said:
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
Matthew 18:35(read the whole passage to get the background that led to this conclusion) You nailed it! God bless you real good. |

danfidel01: These are all different and beautiful pictures of sifferent deeper life weddings (including d interior decor), so if u don't see a high level of modesty which the Bible talks about, then I don't know what else your looking for (except to condemn people and get condemned too). The bottom line is the word MODESTY.... People do not have to model their appearance according to what some celebrity (who doesn't know God) will wear. The big question too should always be "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?". So if Christ were in your shoes, would he do what you want to do (on your wedding day, as the case may be)? If you can't answer the question aright, then you are about to do something wrong.
And as for Mr Tosyne2much, I would advice you don't say things you don't know (or things you only see at face level). Be sure before you make your assumptions or jump into conclusions.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL. AMEN I quite agree with you. |

ironheart: Mtcheew with people reasoning like Reno, that is why we are where we are today. Reno should have called out the agency responsible for investigating, prosecuting those he feels have questions to answer. The president cannot be everywhere. A lot of Nigerians do not put the right question to the right agency. Reno should not be living in another mans country and be asking questions. He should come down here to fight for the masses. The country he is living was built with the blood of people who dared to speakup n lead the people. This is not the point Sir. The president doesn't need to be everywhere to instruct that those mentioned and others be arrested and prosecuted. Are you implying that those agencies disobeyed his instructions to this effect? If so, why are they not reprimanded or removed from office? Reno does not need to come over to Nigeria before he can make his inputs. He has even done more than most resident Nigerians in putting this government on their toes. Or do you want him to come over to Nigeria so that "one billion "looted" naira can suddenly be mysteriously traced into his house and then he detained indefinitely even against court orders or his blood shed as you proposed? You must be funny. Reno has made his points that our president has so much 'integrity' indeed as claimed. Counter them if you can. Thanks. |

Abagworo: It's obviously politics and released by Kwankwaso through a 3rd party because of political differences. We all know how videos are made and resignation letters written and signed before a godfather supports a new contestant for Governor or other positions. Sir, let us assume you are right that there is a political motive behind it. However, the point here is that a top APC government official such as a governor allegedly actually took such bribes which is part of corruption. Since the Nigerian government wants everyone to believe that they are seriously fighting corruption, which is their (only) selling points, then the Kano State governor should step aside for detailed investigation to be carried out. We should not be defenders of corruption. "The ruling APC must kill corruption (including the ones involving their members) or corruption will kill them". |
