It's now official - the elections have been formally 'tribalised'.

Vote your tribesman - performance or not be damned!

Fashola and those thinking in same line of thought don't know it yet but the political implication of all this is the presidency would remain in the north for a long time and the south would keep on deputizing unless a Yar'Adua situation occurs - which would be difficult 'cos the north has already learnt the lesson.

You're still lost.

The assertion is that Buhari is the reason why the tribunal was disbanded and Buhari is the reason why they are trying to prevent pdp from inspecting the election materials and ballot papers.
Does that even make sense to you?

As if we have not been witnessing these things in Nigeria.

BTW,
Who has prevented anybody from going on appeal or going to court?
I won't dignify you with a retaliatory insult if that is what you expect me to do in order to detail my point. Yes, it makes sense to me, since the ruling party has turned state institutions into partisan political agents: the police, DSS, the EFCC etc. In this particular instance, IMO, having read the handwriting on the wall, the plot by the APC is to delay the inevitable upturning of the elections so that the foisted APC governors can use their position and state apparatus to help the president win their respective states in the forthcoming presidential election. I expect you to play the ostrich by denying the the turning of federal institutions into 'arms' of the ruling party or to continue the usual refrain 'PDP started it'.

am only responding to those who are using the story to associate Buhari with tyranny.

as if such never happened in Nigeria before.

So the story, if true is not a case of tyranny to you? Wha then is it? You are implying that the government of 'integrity' that promised change is right to copy the wrongs if the past or even do worse? So you concur with those who assert that the famed integrity of our president is a sham? Once again I ask, were the people you mentioned hindered from seeking redress in the courts, even up to the Suprene Court level? IMO, Nigeria's ruling party is simply afraid that the court will upturn the mandate it brazenly stole from Adeleke and the PDP. Integrity Indeed!

PoliticsRe: British High Commission Speaks On Ban Of 50 Politicians By Buhari by UnchangeableGod: 6:43pm On Oct 16, 2018
seunmsg:
This is the position that all reasonable people worldwide would take on the travel ban. Sadly, enemies of Nigeria who are supporting a well documented rogue and his bigot sidekick to take over the presidency of the country are wailing against this great decision. The good news however is that the lovers of corruption are in the minority. Majority of Nigerians who are reasonable are in support of the travel ban on corrupt political elites who have looted our common patrimony. They should remain in Nigeria till their cases are decided by the court.
Sir, I know you are sympathetic to the APC government which you are entitled to anyway. On face value, any move to fight the menace of corruption is welcome. The point reasonable people are making is that the president has shown that he is fighting the opposition, not corruption as claimed. His body language and actions/inactions so far have proven that he is using the so called fight against corruption for political advantage. Moreover, this is election period and the incumbent seems to be desperate to be returned to office for a second term. We have seen again and again that once some who are fingered for corruption join his party or are on the same political page with him so as to help him win his intended reelection, their sins are forgiven - Musilu Obanikoro, Babachir Lawal, Adams Oshimhole, Godswill Akpabio and now Umar Ganduje. The list is endless. What this implies is that if all corrupt politicians join the ruling APC or start supporting the president for second term, all this fight against corruption will die s natural death. Some will argue that a few politicians in the riling party are in the list. But that to me is to make it look real. The second point is that money plays a big role in our politics. So what is the moral in hindering the opposition from accessing funds for campaign while the president's camp have a field day accessing and spending theirs? You are free to tag one corrupt because he wants to be president at the expense of the incumbent. You are entitled to your hate and unfounded opinion. I am Atikulated. Thank you Sir.

sad Instead of the igbos to vote for Buhari and get automatic presidency in 2023, they are rooting for Atiku because of Vice president and a fake promise of restructuring forgetting that Atiku is also a Fulani man that will always favor the Northern Oligarchs. How they trust the same Atiku to restructure a country the North so much benefit from with less contributions is beyond sane minds. Atiku has been chasing power for years and the igbos think he will weaken his presidency with restructuring and render himself powerless at the center with restructuringhuh Right now they are more Nigerian than other patriotic Nigerians all because of VP and restructuring. Just like they did in 2015, when Atiku looses, another miscreant will return from London and start screaming biafra or Death, Nigeria is a zoo and so on. I really pity those people and their kindergarten politics . They miscalculate in every election and blame Yoruba's for their misfortunes sad
It is none of your business. I don't think that the president who has shown so much disdain for the Southeast can allow an Igbo succeed him. Our best bet for now is Atiku. I pray he does not fail but if he does, we try another person. Thanks for your concerns.

You are right Sir. It is not only the people in Nigeria that will make heaven. The people that will make heaven irrespective of the country they hail from must be (1) born again ie saved from sin by repentance and faith in Christ (2) daily live righteously by His grace (3) definitely cannot be indecently dressed (deliberately expose their bodies or dress in a way that can make the opposite sex lust after them) etc. America, Britain or any other 'sophisticated' country for that matter where nude dressing is accepted as a culture cannot be a godly/scriptural standard. if atiku defeats PMB next year, it will make the politicians understand that the masses are now wise and deserve to be treated with utmost respect. infact, it will make it near impossible for an unperforming political office holder to seek re-election
The worst thing that can happen for people to continue supporting and voting underperforming politicians due to sentiments. It will embolden others not to perform but look for support and votes based on tribe, religion or partisan affiliation. Voting out underperforming public office holders will make others to sit up.

How can one person blatantly convert a National party into his own family party in a State, and the National Executive's see nothing wrong in it?

If people had been converting the political parties into family affairs, would it have gotten to this Okorocha turn to rule?

This is Nepotism at best.

This Okorocha see Imo people finish I swear.
This is a very serious matter. It is utterly ridiculous. To think that Governor Okorocha became governor in 2011 through protest vote against former Governor Ohakim! He even went further and won reelection and now wants a type of 3rd term or proxy rule through his son in law!! Is this not greed? Yet some find nothing wrong with that! PoliticsAtiku As An IPOB Candidate: The New BMC Propaganda Strategy by UnchangeableGod(op): 10:31pm On Oct 10, 2018
It is very clear that the ruling party is so much jittery over the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the PDP presidential candidate for the 2019 presidential elections. This can be attested to via their reactions so far. From observation, the new strategy is to label Atiku an IPOB or Igbo candidate so that he can lose appeal from the rest of Nigerians. It is just like a man who desires to change his children's school because the current one is obviously not giving them the best. Having found an alternative which he deems a better school, he decides to take the children there. Then he overhears another parent who he is not in good terms with praising the new school and just because of that decides not to send his own child there just to spite his 'enemy'. What kind of parent is that? Every Nigerian -
Fulani, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Tiv, Ijaw, Kanuri, Urhobo, Efik, Igala, Idoma, Ebira, Nupe etc stands to get a fairer and better deal should a more competent and visionary leader take over the affairs of the government. Enough of deceit. Enough of false promises. Enough of excuses. Enough of blame game. Enough of propaganda. Enough of 'holier than thou' without any benefits to the people. Let there be a positive change. By His grace, it shall be done.
