It's time we start looking out for competence. Adesina is a technocrat with experience.
Let's just forget about this zoning rubbish and move on. Lol. Same zoning produced Atiku and Buhari. Do your homework |

zlantanfan: Dead meat, but why does inec allow stepping down when clearly another person won a ticket based on certain ideologies that people voted for.
The one who later takes the ticket is accountable to nobody and mostly doesn't have the basics of an ideology Why are Nigerians not clamouring for politicians to lose their seats after defection since people also voted based on certain sentiments? Even the useless constitution stipulates that but no enforcement. If people are not punished for defecting, the desperation will continue |

They said PDP will implode after the Primaries!! lol, thing is, PDP is so matured politically that even the APC hoped, only hoped they will fail. Now they have once again proven to be the real democrats and the rest of them on the other side are merely wishing. The wife of the president is screaming impunity, Senator Omo Agege is screaming, Sen. Shehu Sani is screaming, Ambode too (although in his bedroom... bloody coward). We know our problem.. let's find solutions.
In other news, I wish Atiku could pick Okonjo-Iweala or Akinwumi Adesina for VP. Make Peter Obi the SGF when he wins. @Ambode |

Obi1kenobi: I never knew that the definition of "traitor" was criticism of an elected President in a democratic, federal republic. Sounds more like the language of tyrants who equate criticism of leadership with treachery. Also interesting to note that from El Rufai's words, Buhari seems a major instigator of Sani's political woes. Buhari go still talk say "I am not aweya" |

The politicians are more United, but Okorocha is not controlling anything cos his candidate will not will at the polls. Imo is more likely going to APGA |

Admin401: Then why are people killing themselves over school fees on this thread when they know the structure of Nigerian education is bullshit? Is it not easier to say "Bleep it" rather than bitch and moan about how you can't get into an institution that churns out half baked graduate?
Is the quality of graduates in Nigeria the same with germany? No. So don't compare them. That's because of the emphasis on paper certificate. Which again has to do with lack of structure. If you don't improve on the education standard and increase the fees, the quality of graduates would remain the same. Garbage in, garbage out. |
Education › Re: Re: FG plans to introduce minimum of N350,000 tuition in varsities –ASUU by UncleJudax(m): 11:42am On Oct 03, 2018 |
theoldpretender: Yes, tuition is free in Germany....at the cost of half your annual income in taxes.
We cannot do that in Nigeria...there would be riots on the street. You can't eat your cake and have it. And no, tax is not half the income. Even if it were, it would not be only for education. Btw fuel pump price was increased by more than 100% and nothing happened. |
Education › Re: Re: FG plans to introduce minimum of N350,000 tuition in varsities –ASUU by UncleJudax(m): 10:50am On Oct 03, 2018 |
Admin401: Throughout my argument on this topic, I deliberately refrained from comparing Nigerians students with first world country because its an unfair comparison, and because of that, I stopped reading your post when you mention "here in Germany" If you want to build and improve, you must have a reference point. My comparison was not out of place. Increasing fees won't make students to learn (more) if the structure is remains the same hence my comparison. |
Education › Re: Re: FG plans to introduce minimum of N350,000 tuition in varsities –ASUU by UncleJudax(m): 10:08am On Oct 03, 2018 |
Admin401: And you can only get this "formal education" in the university? No. But it depends on your definition of formal education. I am particularly disturbed by your assertion that paying tuition would make people to study harder. That's hogwash. Here in Germany, there is no tuition, and the students are eager to learn. Even if you want to raise the fees, why not first raise the structure? Let universities, colleges of education and polytechnics do what they are meant to do. You can always point to people who have made so much money and name without a university education, but you have to also know that these people are nationals of countries that have already attained where they are because of their education structure. Nigeria doesn't have such a structure |
Education › Re: Re: FG plans to introduce minimum of N350,000 tuition in varsities –ASUU by UncleJudax(m): 8:47am On Oct 03, 2018 |
Admin401: Not bad actually. People will now attend school and learn and not fvck around because they know how much they spend on school fees alone, why the rest learn a trade.
Not that you set school fees at 50k and everyone attends, and after graduating 100k students at once, more than half can't even a construct simple sentences but then they want an office job.
Sometimes when I talk to graduates in Nigeria, I'm shocked they were able to get admitted into a university in the first place.
Everyone thinks they can't make it without going to school even though they know atleast 10 graduates that went to school and never made it.
Everyone now has a degree certificate in Nigeria andd now Bsc has been watered down so much that you need an Msc to even work in Mr.biggs. fvck!!! Contrary to what you and many Nigerians believe, Going to school is not about "making it", formal education builds healthy and well-informed society. Nigerians should stop equating good life to "making it" The richest people in this world are not from the Scandinavia, Germany etc, yet these countries are the model for every nation because of the quality education available. |
