Ozumba Mbadiwe road, in Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria made front Page twice today for the 1st time! One was for good, another for evil!! We are in end times oh!! |
She was eventually diagnosed with encephalitis, the illness causes inflammation of the brain and is caused by a virus, infection or mosquito bite. This can't happen to a Nigerian! We are built strong |
Eiyah! So sad... she wasn't even flown abroad like other politicians would do. RIP ma'm |
Not funny at all as no vehicle was allowed to cross the niger Bridge. A lot of travellers had to sleep over in Asaba, Ughelli. |

SECURITY MSG. The festive season is usually characterized by increased criminal activities. Please be guided by the following tips: 1. Personal Security * Keep a low profile, blend in and be alert to developments in your environment. * Avoid known crime-prone areas and black spots. * Avoid routine pattern of movements and late night outings. The more predictable your movements and schedules are, to and from places of leisure, entertainment, worship, shopping, schooling, the easier it is for a kidnapper to plan and execute your abduction. * Avoid undue exposure, inclusive of your family members. * Save emergency numbers on your phone with speed dial for easy call in an emergency. * Regularly review your personal security, the security around your home, and your spouse’s business premises. 2. Financial Transactions * Keep all information concerning financial transactions strictly confidential – do not discuss in the open. * Avoid carrying large sums of cash, do not carry bags or packages that may attract criminals. * Avoid physical transactions that require large sums of cash – use cheques and electronic money transfers. * Use ATMs only in safe and well lit places and not late at night. 3. Travel Security * Always pre-plan your journey and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. * Discuss travel plans only with immediate family members. * Avoid night driving, make less use of high value cars that can easily mark you out as a potential target of criminals. * Stick to major routes and avoid lonely routes with bad roads and poor visibility. * If you suspect a vehicle trailing you on the road, drive to the nearest Police station or public place where help is near. * Do not give ride to strangers, including persons dressed in uniforms, as they may be criminals in disguise. * Do not hitch-hike vehicles driven by strangers. * Be aware of techniques used by criminals to force unsuspecting victims to stop. * Watch out for strange persons inside a car or hanging around your gate at your residence. * Do not sit inside a parked car on a less busy road. * Do not park your car in unlit areas. Note: It is established that motorists are most vulnerable when: * Waiting for the gate to be opened for them at residences. * Driving through a terribly bad spot that requires slowing down completely with little chance of escape or when parked on a spot along a less busy road without alighting from the car. 4. Social Outings * Always let close family members know of your movements. * Avoid late outings unless it is absolutely necessary, even then, ensure you are accompanied. * Always take your mobile phone with you, in the vent you need it to make emergency calls * Be aware of the risk posed by large gatherings, as they might constitute attractive targets for violent criminals and terrorists. * Counsel your children never to leave home without telling you, and to maintain communication with a parent or guardian. Note: In the likely event that you are attacked, please remember the following: * The general rule is “NEVER” attempt to run. * Do not resist or panic, just stay calm and cooperate * Avoid eye-to-eye contact with the assailants, but respond to instructions and questions calmly. * Do not make sudden movements without first seeking permission – e.g. unfastening your seat belt as they may misconstrue your intention. * Implore them not to use their weapon as you would cooperate fully If kidnapped: * Focus your energy on survival, maintaining self respect and dignity. * Inform them if you have any medical condition * Request to speak with your relatives, close associates, and give them the facts unemotionally * Do not attempt to call the Police when it is not safe to do so Finally, please review the security tips and share with members of your household and practice security stand downs with them. Have a safe, secure season. Compliments of the season. |

Eyekandi:Yes, it is his father. |
CyberWolf:Governor Dave is from Uburu and not Okposi. They are two different towns. |
Fp delayed is not fp denied. Thanks MODs |
Okposi – the largest community in Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State has recorded many firsts in the Education Sector. In the First Republic, Okposi produced the First Minister of Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Late Onyiba Aja Nwachukwu. Three decades later, Okposi also produced the first female Commissioner for Education in Abia State, Mrs Beatrice Aja-Nwachukwu. And in 2007, Okposi also produced the First Minister of Education to come from Ebonyi State – Dr Igwe Aja-Nwachukwu. More so, Okposi produced the First Professor in Ebonyi State – Late Prof. Aja Okorie. Okposi hosts one of the first three unity schools in Nigeria – the Federal Government College, Okposi (the other two were FGC Warri and FGC Sokoto). Recently, an Okposi son, Dr Laz Ude Eze became the first Ebonyian to make First Class (and the best result) in a Master of Public Health (MPH) Program in the United States. He was also the first International Student to become the President of the University of Kentucky Student Public Health Association in the United States. In this 21st century, below are the photos of classroom blocks in public secondary schools (especially State-owned schools) in Okposi. How many world-class scholars can Okposi produce with these infrastructure? This is history as it has never been a reoccurrence in Nigeria where father and son occupied the same office at different times. The young Aja-Nwachuku should be in his teens when his father was Education minister without knowing that he, himself will one day occupy same position. #HardworkPays Lalasticlala Oya! Move to fp so that others will see. No be all them Wizkid and tontoDike eating banga Soup |
Yar’Adua’s Education Minister, Igwe Aja-Nwachukwu dies in Israel…This is a very big loss to the good people of Ebonyi State. Let's pray for the family and the nation at large. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/ex-education-minister-aja-nwachukwu-dies-at-63/

I can prove that this Man is lying. He claimed he carried the catheter for 144 hours which is about 6 days. Meanwhile he came for appendicectomy which was done successfully and he will be placed on Antibiotics for abt 7days about the time he may be possibly discharged home since appendicectomy scar takes abt 5-7 days to appose (heal) assuming the wound didn't brake down. Now catheter, being a silicone coated rubber tubing is designed in such a way that it doesn't cause skin irritation, coupled with the fact that he was on Post-operative antibiotics which will make urinary tract infection (UTI) unlikely. This is the same reason why old men with prostate problems can carry urethral catheter for TWO weeks or more without any complications. Now, it may interest you to know that when a catheter is inserted, about 5-30mls of Fluid is injected into it to inflate and anchor it inside the bladder so that it doesn't fall off. And the same volume of fluid will be withdrawn from the catheter when u want to remove it. Remember that this man said he was bleeding and stuff, so it is possible that he (the patient) pulled on the inflated catheter causing a laceration (tear) in the lumen of his urethra causing the bleeding he had, the lacerations latter healed by fibrosis, forming adhesions which made urination to be difficult. The pull may have also damaged a nerve bundle cause erectile dysfunction. I am not trying to say that the Doctor did a wonderful thing, No! He shouldn't have asked patient for money since he is a salary earner. It would have been more appropriate if the patient appreciated the doctor voluntarily than to enforce it on him. The patient should have looked for another Medical personnel to remove the catheter for him instead of Pulling forcefully on it hereby causing injury to his Organ. At this point the doctor should plan for a corrective surgery for the patient. |
Stupidity. After, someone will say that Love is Blind. |

I placed this article on NL long ago but it never made FP...lalasticlala why nah?? https://www.nairaland.com/2599639/head-transplant-surgery-possible-2017...neurosurgeon |
Jesumed:My point is that a fair renumeration should be given at least for the extra work we do. @rhymz, like u have read, medical training is not 6 years but a little above that, during which extensive training is done and adequate exposure to Medical and Surgical cases are appreciated. During house job ( Housemanship) which lasts for 1full year, a hands on skill training is done after which u can now obtain ur permanent practising licence. So I ask u, which other supervision is needed for simple surgeries? Mind you most of the surgeries we do as coppers are emergency cases where referral is dicey. For the elective cases, the patients are referred appropriately to specialised centers. We do not go to the streets catch people by force and cut them open. No! We understand our limits even though we try our best to keep the rural dwellers alive. Thank u |
What do u think CS is? If you are not medically inclined you will think it is a huge task. CS and appendectomy are usually the 1st surgery a young doctor does, this is because it is not a complex surgery like thyroidectomy. Just follow the principles ( think thrice, look twice and cut once!) while making sure u secure bleeding vessels promptly. I did close to Eleven CS as a Corper Doctor in a general hospital where I served. I called the shorts. Let me paint a scenario : a 28 year old woman who was pregnant for the 1st time came to register for Antenatal at 8 months plus. I did an obstetrics Scan and noticed that the baby was not well positioned. The baby's head was up and the buttocks was down as opposed the normal presentation which is head down. I told the woman about my findings and adviced her to opt for CS since she is a Primi and that the baby is not likely to turn plus she came very late for antenatal registration. The lady started screaming God forbid!!!. I ignored her and went to see other patients. Just three weeks after, by 2am under the rain, the nurse came knocking on my door (a fully furnished 3 bedroom flat) that there is emergency. So when I came and saw the woman, I couldn't recognise her at first. I took a brief history where I was told that she has gone to a traditional birth attendant who unquote has the powers to turn the baby all to no avail. She even went to a church and the 'pastor' tried to deliver the baby too but no show . When I examined, I found out that the baby was in foetal distress with cord prolapse. For those who are screaming that corper doctors are not experienced, this diagnosis was not made out of ignorance! I took the woman in immediately within 15 minutes the baby was out but asphyxiated. I had a capable nurse that did an extensive resuscitation and alas! The baby boy survived. Since the day I did that CS, I never lacked yam, fish, garri, plantain until my POP. The woman's husband supplied all. Now, if I wasn't experienced like a lot of u claim, the best option would have been to refer the woman to a bigger hospital that night of which I am sure the baby won't make it alive because of distance, the rain, the time and the severity of the case. I did a personal CDS in the market square where I sensitised the women abt Birth preparedness and complication readiness, teenage pregnancy and importance of ANC..in as much as I didn't get any State award (which I don't care abt) I was still fulfilled even with the little pay. ![]() The day the baby was dedicated in Church, I was invited, in fact I became a celebrity to the envy of other corpers. I used the opportunity to educate the Church on how to embrace good health care and not trado/spiritual homes. To crown it all, I even did appendicectomy on a fellow corper (geology graduate) free of charge. He only paid for his drugs and theater fee.. how I wish he is on NL The government should know that Corper Doctors are not spectators because u will be amazed on what they can do. I even had a lot of avenue to make money sef; like home service, primary school service etc. I was the 1st corper to be sent off by a whole community in the Kings Palace. My car was filled to the brim when I was going! |
How I wish that there is a way fresh Medical graduates will be made to do NYSC first before going for Housemanship... The bloody outcome will make the society appreciate post house job doctors better. |
Jesumed:Please, what have I done to u? |
ststyreal:Yes oh! The two gentlemen u mentioned are Medical doctors. They were Commissioner for health at different times even without knowing that they will be governors someday So they know what Maternal Mortality means. Delta health care system is very good. |
bigsmoke2:Could have been retained placenta. |
doctokwus:We are Hippocrates Brothers,we don't wash our linen outside. Forget Basis, this in not a 4thMB Obgyn exam..cus he wouldn't have passed if he didn't know the management of PPH. |
moshould:Pls, define this your "half baked". People like you are the ones that come here to run mouth like you have cerebral palsy...You were obviously delivered by an unskilled midwife and I know you will take your wife there to deliver your children! No wonder your IQ is low ![]() Pls, learn how to spew your trash on Social Media because the very genuine ones will feel slighted by your comments. |
Can I see pics for the Honda? |
