Pls people shouldn't just talk as they want to fellow persons here abeg. Pls! It's interesting that you didn't see what was wrong with your post. So that we may not derail the thread like I said earlier, I'll let it pass. Could we discuss Tier 4 visas please? Advising people about when to book for their airline tickets is also inline with the topic and it's appreciated. |

I think in the interest of not derailing the thread, we should avoid statements that are uncalled for. We all have diverse opinions on the state of the nation and the causes of our crisis. But in the interest of saneness, we choose not to voice them here because, glaringly, THIS IS THE WRONG PLACE TO DO THAT. This topic is centered on Tier 4 Visa not Buhari or northerners! |

Kolping: Hello Everyone,
I am applying for a PBS Tier 4 Student Visa and I need to make use of the Priority Service (extra £150). On the www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk, under the 'Book Appointment' section, there are several Visa Appointment Types - 1. Standard Appointment 2. PBS Tier 4 Student 3. Premium Lounge 4. Primetime and 5. Super Priority Visa Appointment - GBP £750.
Does anyone know which one I am to select to ensure that I use the Priority Service (extra £150) , which is processed in 5 - 7 working days? Or does one book an appointment as PBS Tier 4 Student and then make payment for priority service afterwards?.
Thanks. Select "2. PBS Tier 4 Student". You pay for priority service on tlscontact's website! |

That was in December 2015, I don't know what the rule is currently, you should go through the recent application guideline for more info. I am currently on the immigration health surcharge page and I am trying to pay for the IHS. At the bottom where the summary of my details are, it says "You don't have any dependants". Does this have any implication? I haven't submitted my wife's application because her money hasn't matured to 28days. |

Hi Guys! I am hoping to submit application for UK tier 4 visa with my wife as a dependant partner. My school resumes on September 21. The challenge is that I want to apply for a study leave in my place of work which I should do at least one month in advance. And my wife's proof of funds won't mature until Aug 29 (28days counting). Could there be any issue if I apply for my visa now and my wife applies in a month's time? We intend to travel together by Sep 16th. |

fakmurphy: The interview would be done same day you submit you application at the centre. Tier 4 applicants would be called into a conference room one after the other, there would be an officer waiting on the video chat (Not in person)

via something like skye, you be asked to put on the headphone and type your CAS number to the chat, you will then be asked few questions.I think the normal processing time is 1-2 weeks, you should be contacted by email. mealdred: I use st catherine hospital, its owned by catholics so its more like a health centre, most of their doctors come from teaching hospitals n they have tight schedules, I will suggest u visit a general hospital Most hospitals don't have regular ENT doctors but they don't treat their patients like that. My disappointment has more to do with their attitude than with their service delivery. I went to another hospital in D/line and I was impressed with everything about them. It was a clear departure from the way I was treated at St. Catherine's hospital. And that hospital is private too like St. Catherine's. |

delishpot: This is why I said Nigerian hospitals should be graded and strictly monitored so that they do exactly what you they are classed to do. From 0-6 stars or classes so the public knows what to expect from each hospital and they can know where to turn to when they need specific care and attention. I don't know if that will be possible; you know medicine and the "ethics" of the profession. Like a doctor once told me, there are no first class, second class or third class doctors. A qualified doctor is a qualified doctor. And considering the fact that there is a lot of corruption in the system and those who will do the grading probably have hospitals too, I doubt if the hospital grading will be totally effective. But you are right. It's really important for the public to know what to expect from each hospital. I wouldn't have wasted my time going to that hospital if I had known that their services are LTA. |

I went to St. Catherine’s hospital on the 9th Jan to complain about my ear. I met a regular doctor who informed me that the ENT doctor comes only once a week and that’s on Tuesdays. The following Tuesday, I returned to the hospital. I took permission from work so that I may arrive by the time the doctor is billed to arrive, 5:00pm. I waited till 5pm, then 5:30pm, no doctor in sight. I inquired from the receptionist and she said the doctor is not yet around but he should be on his way. By 6:00pm, I requested that she should call the doctor to know his location. She bluntly refused saying they don’t call him. He will come. Maybe he’s stuck in traffic. All this while, I was silently enduring the pains in my ear. 6:30pm, then 7:00pm, doctor had not yet come. Still this I-care-less lady refused to call the doctor. I left the hospital at 7:30pm in annoyance. However, I composed myself and made sure that I didn’t argue or engage in a quarrel with anyone. What however baffles me till now is – how a private (not government) hospital can be so lukewarm in attending to her customers. In a country where hospitals are so many! Perhaps the management of the hospital don’t realize that the first point of call at the hospital, the reception, creates a lasting impression about them. I would have thought only the receptionist had issues but there was this doctor I saw going and coming out of the consulting room. I thought wisely and left the place. How unprofessional do they have to be before they realize that it’s the social media age and you can’t treat people anyhow and that’s all. |
