The prophet must tell you to get closer to God. There is no prophet that will tell you to neglect your relationship with God. So even if you talk to another 27 prophets, they will all tell you the same thing.
Remember that saying: never ask a barber if you need a haircut. |

Jameselias: humans only used that word(life) to describe their own ideas, there for it is not an absolute term,i hope u got what i mean?stop using the term dead unless properly defined, i refer u to my posts once more. Be enlightened, thanks. Look at it this way: how are you certain that there is life in a rock, or in a car, or in a photon? What do you look for to make the call that a rock has life? |
Christianity Etc › Re: God Created His Own Life by undercat(op): 10:47pm On Feb 12, 2015 |
Jameselias: after reading all that i have posted in this thread do u still have to ask this? Afterall the earth has been termed the living planet and not half dead half alive, as science think. What I mean is: what makes you say a thing is alive? You said everything in the universe has life, if I'm not mistaken. If this is literally true, it means that after you die, the corpse will somehow still be alive, no matter the state of decomposition. This seems absurd. So, I'd like to know what you refer to when you say "life". I think the earth is called living planet because of the animal/plant life on it. |

johnydon22: No my point is we are all part of the same whole (universe)... read it again.. This is rather obvious. I don't think that there is anything for us to be part of other than the universe. Here is the post I was referring to: johnydon22: Hydrogen when given enough time in a favourable condition can/will turn into a single celled organism... and thats where the evolutionary trend began... johnydon22: That was exactly my point... we are all part of one huge universe I think your point was that some things in the universe are alive and some things are not. Jameselias is saying that everything is alive. |

Jameselias: seeing that all(animate and inanimate) is matter, atom, and energy what then is life? do not be afraid of ur own conclution broda! Reason it out ur self. All is one. The one is all. Okay. How would you define life? |
Christianity Etc › Re: God Created His Own Life by undercat(op): 11:49pm On Feb 11, 2015 |
Jameselias: dead is a wrong term broda!.nothing is ever dead for all revolve within the cycle of space and creation includind the so called gods .for that which is, has ever been, and shall ever be, apperance(for grasses etc, birth for mammals) growth or development, and devolution/desolution(death) and reaperance in newer form or state, such is the cycle of things nothing dies that which is not can not be, and that which is, has ever been and shall ever be, iresspective of form. Understand this broda! and u have the keys to eternity (formless) Do you mean that everything is alive, and that being alive is simply the natural state of affairs for everything? |

Christianity Etc › Re: God Created His Own Life by undercat(op): 2:49pm On Feb 11, 2015 |
Jameselias: not sex as u know it. It's the fusion of nagetive and posetive that is sex. There is noting in creation that is not tied to this phenomena, both in element and otherwise, the so called God encompassing this two qualities(hemaphrodite - eg: the sun. ) there for is able to generate life within it's own self and to give life. I know you're not going to tell me that it was dead before it generated life within itself. |

Can we not go through this again? How much time? What constitutes favourable conditions? What are the characteristics of the single celled organism? Etc, etc? I thought scientists were still speculating about how life came about. |

jayriginal: No he doesnt.
Thats not even the point. The point is that he IS scientifically inclined/trained. The question he asked can only be asked by someone who has the barest understanding of evolution. That is the point. A doctor who should have extensive knowledge of biology asks a kindergarten question in trying to disprove evolution.
Or would you say a doctor shouldnt have a good knowledge of biology? Knowwing biology is a must, of course. Even if the doctor's understanding of evolution is zero, however, they can still practice sound(ish) medicine. |

Before he arrived on the scene and joined us, I stated that if only Pastors had some basic knowledge of science, perhaps some damage could be averted. Well my friend comes and somehow revives the conversation and states that evolution is false. He asks how come there are still monkeys if evolution is true.
My right eye still hurts from the facepalm. I don't think a medical doctor needs to have good knowledge of the theory of evolution, or to even agree with it, in order to do his job well. |

Maybe you've come across an argument between theist vs atheist about the origin of life. Once the atheist says life came from non life, the theist asks him to explain how.
For the theist, the only correct answer is that God created life.
I invite theists to explain what they mean when they say God created life, given that God also has life. |

That's a real picture of some part of the universe. The picture was taken by the Hubble telescope, quite recently. Only God could have arranged so many galaxies in that fashion, such that when looked at from earth, of all places, they give the impression of a face. All Glory to His Noodliness for this spectacle, this beacon of warmth and humanity on the cold and unforgiving cusp of infinity. Ramen Sauce: http://www.spacetelescope.org/images/potw1506a/

But as we were approaching a gate,a car just immediately came from the side of the gate to turn... Long story short, the car and the bike were totalled....The bike impacted the side of the car and somersaulted. As luck would have it I jumped down immediately before the bike somersaulted. Though this time I escaped uninjured the bike-man was pinned down under his own bike.... I was now the one struggling to get it off him and some passerby who helped me get it off him.. Nature is just showing off for you. I agree that you need a car tho. |

eighTHREAD: you dismembered it cos you were a little boy who didn't understand how to treat it. Am talking about bathing the doll, plating its hair, making up for it and backing it just like how african mothers back their baby. Or isn't that how little girls play with dolls? Would you allow your son do such as a way of whiling away? It will be weird to watch, but I will allow it. I don't think it means he is effeminate, or that he'll become effeminate as a result. I ended up learning how to plait doll hair, and I even tried my hand at plaiting my sisters, but today I'd rather catch malaria than sit in a female salon with anybody. I think if a kid is effeminate, then the problem is not which toy he chooses to play with. |

I don't suppose that I will buy a doll for him. If he wants to play with his sister's doll, that's his cup of tea. I used to dismember dolls a lot when I was little, which also counts as playing with dolls. |

Children at that age don't usually understand how finances work. Even if you tell them how much you earn, it might not have any significance to them until they understand how people manage their finances. |
