blackbriar:
Somethings that pilots won’t tell you…
Of course they can do this stunt when the plane is parked on the ground wink)

That there are no parachutes or ejection seats available for pilots in the cockpit like in fighter jets. sad( Although they know the plane is going to crash soon, they won’t simply abandon you alone in the back. They will fight till their last breath using best of their experience and skills . (Respect!).

That pilots are kept constantly under pressure by airliners to carry less fuel than they are comfortable with. For obvious business reason - the plane burns more fuel to carry more fuel and costs more! But in case of worst weather at destination, they cannot stay long in the air, and have to land nearby alternative airports. As this happens rarely, so airlines take a chance.
That there is no such thing as “Water landing”! It is known as “crashing into the ocean” or more formally “ditching”
That pilots dims the interior lights while take-off or landing, so your eyes should get used to darkness outside in case of emergency evacuation.

That pilots tell you or Flight Attendants (FA) to put up the window shades while take-off or landing. So that the FAs can see outside in an emergency, to assess which side is better for an evacuation. It also lets light into the cabin if it goes dark and helps passengers get oriented if the plane flips or rolls over.

That one of the engines just failed. They will just say we have some blah blah technical issue and we need to land nearby airport. A plane can be landed with only one engine, before passengers or even FAs notice it. Unless it is on fire or smoking! wink

That they didn’t sleep properly or, the break between two flights was not enough or sufficient for refreshment. They will put a smile on their face so passengers and FAs feel comfortable and confident about flight.

That morning flights are smoother (attention passengers having flight phobia!) than in the afternoons or later. Because latter causes bumpier air and thunderstorms occur mostly in the afternoon.
That if they tell Flight Attendants to sit down, then assume that there is serious turbulence ahead.
That smoothest seat to avoid bumps is the seat over or near the wing. Just imagine a plane like a giant seesaw. The bumpiest is of course the seat at the back.

That a plane moves on to active runway by mistake - 1000 times a year! WTF…
That your coffee is made from the same water that comes from the same potable water holding tank that supplies water to the bathroom sink and contain bacteria 100 time more than standard limits.

That some pilots (being human just like you and me) get distracted by their laptops and cellphones in cockpit during flight e.g. in Oct. 2009 two pilots busy with their laptops flew past their destination by 110 miles! Hurray!!!
That pilots don’t wear their hats in the cockpit. Gotcha wink)
That pilots spends a quarter million on their education and training
Is this a poem?

one of the bank staff must have tipped them off. How to apprehend the culprits.
1. Collect the phones of all the staff to see their calls, chats and texts within the last one hour before the robbery.
2. Track the numbers and find out identities of the contacts.
3. Watch cctv footage of all activities in and outside the bank for suspicious movements or persons.
4. Track the plate number of the thieves gotten from cctv
5. Tell the bank staff to confess willingly or face the full wrath of the law if caught through investigation.
6. Arrest the thieves and post it on nairaland

You are the one exposing your ignorance here cos the guy is 100% right, if there is a conflict between the terms and conditions of an organisation/institution and the Nigerian constitution, the constitution comes 1st and according to the constitution freedom of religion is a right for every Nigerian. If these students take the case to court, they will win hands down.
Yeah, they will win.

After 5 years in court.

That counsel is not wise.

Let each student produce their strong reasons before the school panel, otherwise hold their peace and serve their punishment.

Haa, which one be meeting their criteria again, why are you/we talking about cashless policy, it has to be zero criteria to accommodate that crayfish seller in the market sq. i saw that POS has become electric power meter, ............they promise , you will never get,
Sorry, that crayfish seller may never do turnover of 500k a day, so...

Or would you rather they mandate everyone to buy their own POS?

There's no pleasing you...

Sorry dear, if i must guarantee 200k monthly as they used to say, what is the meaning of cashless policy?, this is to me a scam meant to further frustrate poor farmers, less income earners and other petty traders, They told us to have our ATM card that the machine works 24/7, Just try most of the ATM on Sundays , you will never get that cash for emergencies, many villages have to travel 3-5hours just to do banking transaction, We in this part of the world are not ready for this now, Why must bank set that stupid minimum transaction limit when small scale entrepreneur may not be able to meet up with that criteria, This is arrant nonsense of the highest order, please try to understand me , i am speaking from the poor man point of view where my monthly business capital is 150k, how can i meet up, but to make my business grow faster if I may require POS, shame to the country i belong , that their policy doesn't accommodate poor man, poor or average people were often neglected in almost everything ,

Please this is personal opinion
There is something for everyone.

Mobile Money will soon be relaunched.

Special POS Apps will soon hit the market.

Baby steps...

But grow we must.

FIAT currency is too expensive to produce.

Cashless it is...

POS is free for the customer.

But the banks pay an average of 100k to provide one for you.

So they ensure that they only give VIABLE customers who can help them recover their INVESTMENT faster.

A viable customer guarantees constant transactions and a pre-agreed minimum transaction value on the machine.

Can you guarantee that?

If so, send me a mail.
