gorociano: I’ve been natural for three years and it’s been a journey. And a not-so-easy one too, there are many things I wish I had known before embarking on this journey but it took a lot of learning and re-learning to get me this far. There are lots of content on the internet that will leave you misinformed especially when you’re new to the natural hair game. So here is my personal gift to you, a simple beginners’ guide to going natural.
Simple is the way to go If you were looking for a long post about some complicated natural hair routine or natural hair regimen, then you’ve come to the wrong place. In fact from past experience, I can say that doing the most with your hair only impedes your hair health and growth. The simplest regimens are the best. My last-born sibling is just 5 and her hair is longer than mine (and she’s cut it twice). So we have both been natural for roughly the same number of years. But if there’s one thing I’ve learnt from her hair it’s that the simpler the better. All we do is moisturize and protect her hair and I started applying the same method to my hair too.
Step 1: Moisturize Bantu knot out
Natural hair needs moisture, especially in our harsh weather. Dry hair is the number one cause of hair breakage, so you might think your hair is not growing but in reality it’s breaking faster than you can retain the length. The most popular technique for keeping your hair moisturized is the LOC method also known as LCO method. The L in LOC stands for liquid. Your hair needs water, water is life; so your liquid can either be water or a water-based product. You first spray water over your entire hair. Next is O, which stands for Oil; the oil is a sealant that keeps the water sealed into your hair strand, you can use coconut, olive oil or any other oil of your choice. While the final C stands for Cream; the cream helps to close the hair cuticle and keep both oil and water sealed in. You can use a leave-in conditioner for your cream, shea butter or any moisturizing natural hair cream.
Step 2: Protect
The next step is to do protective styles. The key to letting your hair grow is keeping it protected, you can leave out your afro once in a while but over-exposure to sun and harmattan really is not good for the hair. There are numerous protective natural hair styles to choose from; bantu knots, twists, finger coils, flat twists, thread and our usual African styles like all-back, etc. If you like variety, I’ll suggest doing all-back and rocking wigs, but don’t forget to keep your hair moisturized. For hair growth, low manipulation is key, instead of changing hairstyles every day or week, you can try one protective style every month, do this regularly while keeping your hair moisturized and I promise you, your hair will grow. Unfortunately, I love manipulating my hair a lot and I don’t mind the length because it’s not a competition, I just like to style my hair in different beautiful ways, you can say I’m obsessed. My point is, if you’re worried about length, keep manipulation minimal.
Natural Hair Beginners Kit There are some things you’d need for this journey, let’s just call it a starter kit.
Satin pillowcase or bonnet – The usual cotton pillowcases are bad news for your hair and even skin. Satin silk reduces friction so using it will reduce friction, keep your hair neat and minimize tangles. It is also great for your facial skin because unlike abrasive material like cotton, wool, etc, satin doesn’t draw in moisture from your skin, it simply glides instead of pulling on your skin thereby reducing wrinkles and acne. Keep in mind that you should wash your pillowcase every few days or at least once a week to remove natural oils from your face/hair and product residue as this can clog your skin pores. Leave-in conditioner Deep conditioner Spray bottle Oil Moisturizing Cream Wide-tooth comb Edge control and small brush – To get those sleek edges Satin/silk scarf – To lay down those sleek edges, can also be used in place of bonnet or pillowcase Hair clips, pins and accessories

markode777: KINGSLEY IWU
A Kenyan Witchdoctor, Ali Maalim Bakari a.k.a Mganga wa Nyuki has said that women who sleep naked are in high risk of becoming barren in Life.
The witchdoctor disclosed to Nairobian that he has involved in the business for the past 10 years.
“Many people don’t know that sleeping naked especially for women is not safe. That is how ghosts show up at night and have sex with some ladies making them barren. These women lack sex appetite. I always advise women to wear something, even a panty alone,“ he said.
“For instance, when a client complains of poor performance in bed, I urge them to spice up their bedroom game and also check on diet. Further, women should not throw their pads aimlessly, since that is what people use to block their uterus,” he said.
He also disclosed he inherited his powers from his late dad and made a secret oath that requested the slaughter of two cocks.
“I inherited this gift from my late father. It is a normal thing to pass this gift to your kids. In our case, we are three sons in our family, but my brother refused and I took over. Our ancestors were not happy with him and they made him lose one eye,” the 32-year-old man born and bred in Kwale said.
The witchdoctor also claimed politicians do storm his place seeking powers during rallies.
“They usually come for charms to attract crowds in rallies and beat their competitors. To help them, I smear special oil on their underwear and clothes that they must wear when going to meet rivals or crowd,” he said.

PrettyCrystal: A young lady identified as Chioma Nelly Nwawere, has revealed why a guy blocked her on Facebook. According to the pretty lady from Imo state, the guy in a bid to woo her - bombarded her with different unwarranted questions. Even when she answered the questions, he continued with his "interrogation".
The lady also narrated how the guy asked her about her complexion and her gap teeth despite going through her pictures. That was she she told him to go for medical checkup.
This probably annoyed the guy who took out his anger by blocking her on Facebook.

Jman06: This could be the result of forcing yourself on a man who doesn't like you, and at the same time not being financially supportive of the man.
Only a few men with good hearts can put up with a financially dependent lady and not start showing her attitude, especially after seeing other women being the bread winners of their homes. It's either the man is naturally good or you are a very hot lady such that you have his mumu button. guy, sounds like you wouldn't mind your wife doing bread-winning for your family... |

Memories12411: My sister you are welcome to "Men's World". The heart of men is desperately wicked. If you are not doing anything to generate income for the family is a great problem for you because anything about you irritates him. Check your financial life very well. Secondly, it could be you have turned yourself to a different person after giving birth to your child. Check your looks. Last but not the least. Check your relationship with your in-laws. They could be instigating your husband. In conclusion, I encourage you to pray without ceasing. Not a bad point that just that i disagree on the "...generate income for the family..."part as not all men want their wives' financial contribution in marriage and tbh i will not like that either. |

lodgerill2: Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, in a new interview revealed what attracts men to her. According to the actress who wondered if having a big ass or a killer figure is a problem, it has not been easy dealing with the advances she’s been getting.
She told Saturday Beats; “When it comes to my body, it has not been easy with the advances I get from men because of my bum. It has not been easy at all. It makes me wonder if it is a problem having a big bum or a killer figure”.
On if she will opt for bum reduction, she said; “It has never occurred to me to reduce my bum. No, why will I do that? Reducing my bum will be me mocking God for what He has blessed me with. I can’t even add weight because if I do, my bum would become massive. People pay to make their bum big, why would I reduce the natural one God gave me for free? Please leave my bum, it’s from God, undiluted.”
She then admitted she is in a relationship; “I am in a relationship but my boyfriend is not in the entertainment industry, I would say that our meeting was a miraculous one.”
