Like I always say, we need to be very careful. In 2011 the APC interfered in PDP choice for Presiding officers and they got served with emergence of Dogara, Saraki and Ekeremadu in 2015. However, in all fairness the APC didn't interfere in the choice of Principal officers in 2011. Hon Mulikat Adeola was ratified as Majority leader, Hon Leo Ogor Deputy etc. What Saraki and Dogara are doing may come to haunt us someday. A new Speaker may rise up and say he is appointing the Minority leader and Whip. If you want to complain someone will remind you that you said nothing or you hailed Saraki when he moved to appoint the majority leader and whip.

The Majority leader/Whip are traditionally core party men because their positions are partisan. It is the Speaker/SP and their Deputies that there positions are meant to be non-partisan
