It was a bad start in the new year for a suspected internet fraudster popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boy’ in Delta state. Ghana Burger as he is popularly called was driving along Simple Ocean Hotel in Sapele when he hit a woman and her daughter selling by the road side.

The woman was immediately rushed to the hospital, but couldn’t make as she had sustained serious injuries. She died moments after she was taken to the hospital. However her daughter survived the incident without a scratch.
In a rather sad note, it was also reported that husband to the woman died just last year. The 5 children of the woman are now orphaned following her death.

The condition of the driver cannot be ascertained as at the time of writing this report. However the car can still be found at the scene of the accident.

In 2017, teenage superstar, Destiny Boy broke out after dropping a cover to Davido‘s smash hit, IF.
The cover went places as people fell in love with the song due to its fuji twist. What got us wondering was that Destiny Boy was just 13 years old. This got everyone enthralled.
From there he started rolling with industry heavyweights like Tuface, Wande Coal and he also dropped more covers. Destiny Boy isn’t the first kid superstar.
Last year, we had Emmanuella cracking us up. Her videos alongside her Uncle, Mark Angel were always trending on YouTube. She was also regularly invited to perform at shows and she even surprised us when she went on tour to some African countries where she has tons of fans.

More and more kids are getting famous. And there are still more who will join the bandwagon in 2018. The kids would see the entertainment industry as an opportunity to evade the algebraic equation they didn’t understand at School.

The kids would say to their parents:- “School is not helping anyone, see Ahmed, our neighbour’s kid, he’s already making money, appearing on TV, and then Conclude on “Who school epp!“

It’s true to some extent though, given Nigeria’s deteriorating education. But these kids still need to be educated.
Ahmed for instance would have just finished Primary 5, he hasn’t even gotten to halfway of his education.
● Has he learned enough?
● Can he speak and write in English?
Still, Nigerians would support talent over anything as long as it is making money.
However, it’s important we all make these kids know the essence of education. Most of our Superstars made it to university before dropping out.
Wizkid dropped out at Lead City University before dropping out. Ycee and Lil Kesh also.
Ahmed would definitely be a superstar on 2018, this would encourage other parents to influence their kids to also showcase their talents.
Then the entertainment industry would be littered with kids everywhere. Then several problems would arise, maybe a kid slapping his manager over money matters.
Lastly, the Emmanuel Eboue issue is a case to ponder. How his wife took advantage of his illiteracy and acquired all his lifetime savings and assets.

A 16-year old girl who was a victim of s3.xual abuse has made a shocking confession, saying that she cannot do without having s.ex with men daily.

She narrated how an old man, who was their neighbour at Mile 12, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, lured her into s3x at seven and since then she cannot resist having se.x everyday.

The pupil said if she did not see any man to have se.x with her in her area, she would go to a popular under bridge at Mile 12 Lagos and beg for s.ex from touts.
She said she came from Enugu state to Lagos to live with her aunt after the death of her father.

Her case has become so serious that she had to be referred to an NGO, Community Health Support and Empowerment Initiative, COHSAEI, which has taken up the challenge to rehabilitate her.

The little girl said she was lured into s3x by a man she called Baba who lived with her aunt in the same compound.

She said the man (Baba) usually called her to his apartment whenever his wife and her aunt were not around and will put his finger inside her pr!v*te part.

“He will tell me to come back home immediately our school closes and when I reach home he will be waiting for me to finger my honeypot,” she narrated.
She said with time he started having real s3.x with her.

She said when the man that initiated her into it moved out of their area, she resorted to meeting other men in the area without her aunt knowing.

She said she has become addicted to s.3x and cannot do without it.
“When I desire s.ex and I do not see anybody to do it in my area, I will go under the bridge and beg the touts to do it for me,” he said.

Her predicament came when she confessed to her teacher what she was going through after the teacher noticed some abnormal behaviour in her. The teacher contacted her aunt who contacted an NGO for assistance.

The programme coordinator of the NGO, Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, noted that her case was very pathetic because of her age. She said her group took up the challenge to rehabilitate her because it was clear if nothing was done urgently her future was in danger.

She said her organisation has started the process of rehabilitating her by carrying out series of tests on her to ascertain her health conditions.

Ingbia stressed the urgent need to relocate her from her present environment and start a new life for her.

She said her organisation has not been able to do so because of the financial cost of doing so.

37-year-old Abdullahi who is always led by a 12-year-old boy (name withheld), begged for alms every day at the First Gate and Odogunyan area of Ikorodu.
He was apprehended yesterday after an inquisitive resident of the area, Adeoye Baliks, engaged him in a conversation that made her raise an eyebrow.

According to Vanguard, she raised an alarm and the man was examined by passersby and it was discovered that he was not blind.

When interrogated, Abdullahi who is from Oyo State, said he belongs to a group of beggars who feign various types of deformity just to get people to sympathise with them and give them money.

But for the timely intervention of the vigilante group members in the area, the mob that had gather gathered were in the process of lynching him. He was rescued and then handed over to the police in Sagamu.
