U guys are not difficult to spot u know this is funny....Reno made the post and all I said was rather than continue with divisive statements, he should provide evidence so that his claims can be substantiated. Then we can turn our eyes on EFCC to do the needful... But anyhow you see it... I have no issues.... |

Chinnyrita27: Good day nairalanders. I created this account to seek for advice as I am confused and crying as I type this. I have been happily married for 4 years with a daughter of 3 and my husband. Not about a week ago, I had issues with one of his friend in his absence in our home. He had this close friend who came visiting on a faithful evening last Monday(I was not strong enough to go to work),he came when my husband wasn't around so I had to leave whatever I was doing to keep him company while we wait for my husband, at some point I offered to get him food, he obliged and ate, it was not upto 30 minutes after eating, he asked me to go buy him card. Politely, I told him I can't as was so tired and weak to walk about 10 minutes under the sun, i suggested to recharge free for him from my bank, he insisted, frowned his face and asked if I was trying to tell him that he can't recharge from his account, I was shocked, he stood up angry and aggressively and drove out of the compound. I didn't utter a word, I was angry but kept calm.
Not until my husband came back, and when I was about to welcome him but, he angrily yield and screamed at me and asked why I had to insult his friend and call him poor. I angrily asked him why he believed his friend without trying to confirm the from me, we deeply quarrelled and he made statement threatening to end the marriage if I cannot respect his friends and his people. I have never disrespected him or any of his friends and family members before, I'm so confused, we have not be conversing and relating well since Monday. I tried to make peace with him as I wasn't comfortable keeping malice with him but he said I will have to apologise to his friend which is something I don't think I can do.
I am so confused, what should I do? your husband might be gay So we have heard your side of the story...we need to hear the other side's story as well Just as it was wrong for your husband not to confirm from you, it is wrong for us not to confirm from his friend |

This means that every cash transaction over N5m must be done via a financial institution. Any person found guilty of contravening this is liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than 3 years or a fine of N10m (Ten Million Naira) or to both.
The above is the act straight as quoted, it is actually 5 million Naira. Stop misleading people, be guided. smh.....ask a lawyer then a banker close to you |

Rubbiish: If other climes are making progress even with the presence of fraudsters, then we should tackle the main issue head on. I believe if Nigeria is working like USA & Russia, we will not be complaining & these countries are not devoid of fraudsters. The case of chasing fraudsters is like chasing ants and leaving the lions, which Reno is trying to say. Fraudsters are not responsible for poor governance, bad electricity, roads, health facilities, poor educational system etc just name it. These are national problems and makes a country what it is. I can send you a YouTube channel link on USA fraud, so you can see the kind of fraud being done there. Credit card hacking on individuals account & it is done by white. But the country is still working because of good leaders. Let us address the real problem & stop beating about the bush. then if he has evidence let him bring it out....whether against apc or pdp....at least he has been in power....the guy just likes to stir up sentiments....and unfortunately we all fall for it |

The kind of fraud carried out by Nigerians is small compared to the likes of Russia. Yet things are working in their country. Our leaders are responsible for our problem, Reno has valid points, unless you choose not to be truthful to yourself. So because there are fraudsters in other climes, we should condone ours? He made no point why will he use "chasing yahoo boys" as an example. By your logic.....if we had bigger terrorist groups in more developed countries, we should be happy that ours is just boko haram and shouldn't bother with bringing them to book |

Kfed4ril: You didn’t get the whole gist, the other guy was asking to prove that there was actually money in the bullion van, and I reminded him when Tinubu came out the next day to say it’s his money and can do as he likes with it. My brother that alone is enough proof that the bullion van was loaded with cash.
Bros pls don’t be sentimental here, Tinubu went against the money laundering act and can be arrested for that, but then again this is Nigeria where some people are more equal than the others. Go and read the act then pray tell where the offence is. Tinubu never said he had money in the van....if you took that to court as evidence, you will lose the case before it even starts |

stanliwise: God will Judge you. It is either you are a slave to money or you are just a simpleton who have no idea of the implications of carrying such money on broad day light in our street and roads. For what transaction exactly According to the Money Laundry act, a very huge amount running above N500,000 for an individual should not be paid using physical cash but must be through the bank so that EFCC can track such money. How do you think drug dealers, politicians and kidnappers transfer huge fund. If not for our failed system, EFCC would have tracked and seize such fund but no they didn't. Yet people like you still support lawlessness in broad dayligjt.... May God forgive you. Better go and read the act well so you can stop misguiding people. You can collect any cash amount from banks.... however you pay charges above a certain amount and the transaction must be reported to the authorities |

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri in his tweet says EFCC turns a blind to the bullion vans that entered Bola Ahmed Tinubu house in contradiction to Money Laundering Act of 2011 but arrest Yahoo boys. Gistvic Reports.
Reno said this as he asked if Tinubu is above the law.
He wrote:
See More Below:
Source:https://www.gistvic.com/2019/03/efcc-turns-blind-eye-at-tinubu-but.html I argued this a while back.....what is Tinubu's offence exactly? The money laundering prohibition act is explicit on what it covers and guidelines on how and what it prosecutes. Two bullion vans entered his house in broad day light. Now can anyone answer the following questions -Did the vans contain money? If so how much? - Is it illegal to transport huge sums of money by individuals if it is done through a financial institution? - Did the money come from a financial institution? - if it did, did the institution report the transaction to relevant authorities? And did he pay the charges associated with large cash withdrawals? -As a politically exposed person are his transaction records always kept and updated? So The EFCC is mandated by law to go after Yahoo boys (which is a poor example of trying to prove a point from reno) just as they are mandated to receive and act on reports from financial institutions about transactions and PEPs. So until you have evidence that Tinubu broke the law or it was bent in his favour, you won't see security agents breaking down his doors. As to the morality of moving bullion vans with so many hungry and jobless people, that is a different question entirely |

If you want to scrap NYSC, scrap it. But signing a bill that defeats the essence of NYSC does a lot more harm than good.
If the govt is so concerned about break in professionalism, what they should work on is Industrial training and not NYSC.

This bill addresses no issue. it was created on a selfish premise and I am surprised that everyone is lauding it. |

I understand the OPs point.....but I think it will be extremely dumb and unlikely for anyone to have different accreditation figures for the presidential senate and HOR.
If it is also not compulsory to collect the 3 ballot papers, it will also be difficult to prove from number of votes casted, except if Inec has records of ballot papers used and unused (that in itself might not be tenable)
The only way it can most likely be proved is if the number of accredited voters via the card readers are less than total votes cast |
