iSense247: This is preposterous. They should have given us reasons for this policy. 15k per transaction and 50k per day is too low in this inflation economy.
It's sad that government is controlling how we spend our own money.
The reason is for security. And it applies to only contactless payment
PHIPEX: I noticed this nonsense today on my account. This is another policy somersault. This people are only interested in frustrating Nigerians.
How do you peg my daily transfer to 50k meaning we should all return to queuing in the banking hall? Why are we returning to 1990 Banking system instead of going forward?
I don't think it is your transfer limit. It is your limit on contactless payment (In this case bank would mean debit or credit cards)
Penguin2: That’s the chairman of Sierra Leone Electoral body.
It’s possible he was also in Nigeria during the elections as an observer and saw what happened. The manipulation, the violence and the dejection in people’s faces after their mandate was taken from them.
That’s a man of substance advising another group of men of substance to emulate a man of substance.
Have you ever seen anyone advising anyone to emulate Tinubu anywhere in the world?
lol....the cue he was talking about was election dispute resolution
Web2020: This is complete nonsense. This will not work in Nigeria right now. Nigeria has no data. Before anybody quotes me, first answer the following questions.
1. What happened to the Covid 19 business assisted loan?
2. What happened to the SMEDF loan for SMEs in Nigeria?
3. What happened to market money?
Anybody advising Tinubu to be signing all sort of nonsense bills is not helping him.
He should concentrate on building systems first. Build the institutions. Give at least 12 hours of stable electricity. Get good centralised data-based for Nigerians. A unified means of identification. Then all these schemes can now follow.
For now, Fanikoyode and that SAN will share this money met for the student loan. They will come out to tell stories of millions of ghost people that benefited. No one can verify.
But that is why the university will submit the final names of the students that are eligible
The schools can't claim not to be liable if they put in "ghost students"
As for funding, the sources also look doable without too much pressure on already scarce resources
Nsogbu001: Three months after arriving in the UK, Nigerian student arrested for allegedly attempting to date children
A Nigerian man identified as Cyril Kenneth has been arrested by the police after being accused of dating minors in Belfast, UK.
According to a video shared by warriors of children, Kenneth who arrived in February for his masters degree, was arrested after multiple children between the ages of 14 and 15 reported him with evidence of him grooming and sexually harassing them.
In the text messages he had with some of the victims, Kenneth sent his unsolicited indecent pictures, asked some of them for their house addresses, invited one of them to his house for sex, amongst other disturbing messages.
The suspect, however, confessed to the crime and blamed it on temptation from the devil. He said he contacted the kids because he needed friends as he was new to the country. He was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution(instablog)
Each time they want to hike the price of fuel, as a means of extorting money from the poor masses to run the corrupt system, they deceive us with this subsidy thing.
Nigeria is broke! Totally broke! They need money by all means. In the coming months or years they will use the same formula to extort money from the poor citizens. They will say it was partially removed.
You can't truly deregulate and still continue to fix the price of PMS - that's regulation.
Are they fixing the price for the whole country or just their filling stations?
Responding to the weighty claim, Osifo asked the SDP candidate to show proof or “take that back.” Despite repeated attempts by the TUC president and the presenter, Seun Okinbaloye, to get a retraction from the SDP candidate, he refused.
sukkot: So I went to see my gurl Hilda Baci to see what she got cooking. had to empty the bank akant just to bring yall this content. the place is alright, the AC is very strong, its small and cute.
The food prices? A bit on the high side for like swallow eaters like soup starts from 5000 naira. Just the soup alone without the meat and swallow. the rice i bought is 1500, the fish 2000 and malt is 400 for a total of 3900 naira. the food was straight up garbage. TAsted horrible. I could only stomach half of it till i abandoned the rest. I give it a solid 3 out of 10.
The positives are the AC is very cold and the malt was very cold. would i go back ? nope
I did enjoy her native rice, one of the best I have tasted. Also the snail was well made and hard the right amount of hardness exactly how I like it. Not a fan of boiled chicken, but hers made me a believer.
Different strokes for different folks. But I sincerely did enjoy the meal and ordered back to back. Can't wait to place today's order.
Trustmea: Anytime I see ppl supporting Tinubu here I will just shake head for their foolishness. U can see we are all buying this fuel at the same skyrocketed rate including those Tinubu supporters. Abi are u telling me they have special place where they are buying the fuel at lower rate as his supporters? Heck no. Make una continue to revel in una foolishness
All major candidates said they will remove subsidy. Regardless of who is in power, this will be the outcome
MrBrownJay1: it all depends on A) what kind of business you are in (many businesses are open on public holiday thus no public holidays for their staff) and/or B) the type of contract you signed. you had a choice and you decided to agree to work on public holidays, so why complain now?! C) how can it be slavery when you are allowed to quit when ever you desire? if you dont like the job, then go get a job that you desire, et voila!
It is slavery because most companies exploit our lax labour laws to get their workers to do more
LegendHero: Yoruba people don carry Owambe go Abuja.
I kinda like this coz it means for the next 8 years, Abuja people will know what they call true entertainment and happiness.
Seyi Tinubu sabi PR games wella and I love how he pulled all those artist to Abuja. They should do something like this regularly so the youth can unwind and network with people and party.
I also observe something. Seems the Northerners are operating on a different wavelength entirely judging from the difference in the music style of South and North. Shey they no like Afro pop ni? They suppose get one confam artist that’s at the fore. Well Skales, MI, Jesse Jags, Tuface, and etc could qualify are Northerners but not just core North.
adioolayi: The summary of the whole thing is that,
Rufai Oseni was simply an alarmists, blowing an incident out of proportion..of course, I don't blame him..he is a journalist and his job is to sell a story....40 Cars was just too much...next time, he should try report it as it is..
Oga Ben, he goofed by claiming a volunteer was sent..haba, you be Oga boss...you for use this case shine by directing the closest DPO, who supposedly reported that no such incident happened, to mobilise to the streets for on the spot assessment.
Our police needs to do better..really.
when he had called his DPO and his DPOs report was not believed, he decided to use a civilian at least that one has nothing to hide.
I surely won't waste time with someone that says 40 brainboxes got stolen in 1 day
Supremos: They are not saying that other states results are not important. Kindly understand that in WAEC, you must score credit pass in English and Mathematics, it doesn't make other subjects irrelevant.
The constitution has said it, you must abide by the constitution
The US has 50 states and Washington DC. Nigeria has 36 states and FCT. So as to ensure that everybody in the country votes, you have to include FCT.
FCT isn't a state hence the use of "and" to show inclusion
Broveens42: I doubt. He's a great actor quite alright, but the art of theatric require you to be natural. These include ; facial expression, gesticulation, intonation etc... A lot of people while seeking for recognition, overdo these things..
Blossom chukwujeku should have won it for his role in the "trade" but an award to Tobi isn't bad for pure/natural acting
I haven't watched the trade, but I still won't rate Tobi higher.... Especially if it is for Brotherhood
kurlz: She lost her ovaries during the accident when she used her car the batch the guys residential trunk out of anger when she discovered he cheated on her. Well I think he doesn't really love her hence he cheated way back and also ran back into the arms of the next available same woman barely after the separation. In spite of all the ladies sacrifices, yes he bought her back the house and gave her money, but her sacrifices were much more than that. It's an emotional thing.
what sacrifices? The money she spent on him? He gave her times 10. She wouldn't have wanted him back if he was still penniless
Cooolme: Please I want to know if I'm over spending or it's just the way things are in Nigeria as a whole. I'm a student and very cautious of my finances, even with that I spend like 35-40k weekly excluding car fueling. Omo things are bad oh, I remember my 100 level days (2018/2019) when 5k could carry you for a week even without foodstuffs. Over to you, how much do you spend a week?
Capitalresource: As someone who loves to enjoy life and have a good time, I can tell you that the answer is clear: being driven is the way to go.
Sure, driving can be fun sometimes. There's something exhilarating about being in control of a powerful machine, cruising down the open road and blasting your favorite tunes on your stereo. But let's be real, how often does that actually happen? More often than not, driving is a stressful, time-consuming hassle that leaves you feeling drained and stressed out.
Being driven, on the other hand, is pure luxury. You get to sit back, relax, and let someone else do all the work. No more traffic jams, no more searching for parking spots, no more road rage. Instead, you can use that time to catch up on emails, read a book, or just take a nap. Plus, if you're lucky, your driver might even offer you a complimentary bottle of water or a snack.
Of course, there are some downsides to being driven. For one thing, it can be expensive. Hiring a private driver or using ride-sharing services can really add up over time. And if you're someone who likes to be in control, it can be hard to relinquish that power to someone else.
But for me, the convenience and comfort of being driven far outweigh the costs. I'd much rather arrive at my destination feeling relaxed and refreshed than stressed out and frazzled. Plus, if I'm being honest, I kind of like feeling like a VIP when I'm being chauffeured around town.
So, to wrap it up, if you're someone who values convenience, comfort, and a little bit of luxury, being driven is definitely the way to go. Just sit back, relax, and let someone else do the driving.
Depends on the car, Toyota, Benz, Honda etc...... it's best you are driven. But If you are behind the wheels of a BMW best drive that car yourself it makes no sense otherwise
Wayne4uall: Thank U so much for this statement..,it makes me happy because I am planing to buy X6 2016 but I am scared if it developed problem because only few mechanics can fix the car...PLS share Ur BMW experience with me ..thanks
Go for it....one of the best decisions I made and as it is I can't buy any other car that isn't a BMW.
You just have to ensure that you follow your maintenance regime religiously.
Reliability is very high if you maintain it properly
I stay in a highly corrosive environment and that has really affected my car.
As for repairs, pricey but not as bad as people think given that the car is reliable
If you would not use a Coscharis for repairs, then ensure you have a scanner to pinpoint faults before you take to a mechanic.
I am quite the DIY person so I do all my diagnosis myself and also tell mechanics what to fix when I can't fix them myself.
In terms of repairs I have done in 5 years Changed my wipers Fixed my parking brake Changed my wheel speed sensors Changed my window regulator
I buy all my parts from the US (Amazon/FCPeuro) Usually after market parts original branded BMW parts are crazy expensive.
So do go for it. But like I said do all checks with a good car scanner. if possible get one specific to BMW. It will throw up any inherent fault. Listen for any odd sounds during your test drive
envoymedia: Nigeria's former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said it is time for Nigerians to call on security agencies to declare Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi a terrorist following the leaked audio chat between the LP candidate and Bishop Oyedepo - founder of the Living Faith Church, IGBERETV reports.
As heard in the audio, Peter Obi pleaded with Oyedepo to help him canvass for Christian votes in the South West. Also, LP's spokesperson released a statement confirming the authenticity of the leaked audio.
Reacting to the development, Kayode wrote on his Twitter handle;
