What happens is that after pressing the power button, the system boots and when it is time for the screen to show, it turns blank and the message that appears before the screen goes blank is; Start Windows with its normal parameters.

Chevron does not have BOSIET Training Centre, they only pay for their staff and their would be staff to attend the training. One of the companies that organise the training for them is FALCK PRIME ATLANTIC, Ipara Remo. You can also go there on your own for the training. Just google falckprime atlantic. They train individuals and MNCs for BOSIET certification. It is not only Chevron that uses that facility, TOTAL, MOBIL, schlumberger etc also use that services of the company

@Donpata, i think submission of all photocopies of your certificates is a major determinant of the addmission. In my own case, i made all the photocopies of my certificates in two separate places and i submitted the photocopies at Chemical Engineering Department and the Secretary of Postgraduate School with two passport photographs. If it is not too late, try it and lets see

Congratulations first, the next thing is that you search for schools offering your desired course at MSC level. Once you are successful with your search, you be on the look out to know when the school starts selling their Msc forms, you purchase the form, fill it and submit it with ALL YOUR CERTIFICATES. Have faith and hope for the best. Once your name comes out, you automatically becomes a Masters Students. Chikena

What kind of job are you doing that you just dont feel is okay for your educational height, maybe when tell us, people can advise you better. Personally, with that salary of you earn, you can as well go and visit that same country you want to go for internship. It still boils down to choice anyway!

JAMB brochure is your best bet. Any Federal University that offers that course should be able to admit you.

Yes, TOTAL has sold their 20% shares in USAN pending Federal Government approval, i read it in Guardian of Tuesday, 20th November 2012. But i dont think TOTAL will transfer their PERMANENT STAFFS to the chinese. They still have enough fields to accomodate them. They can even be deployed to their Egina and offon projects. Their training too is world class.

In addition to what you've mentioned, Total is also undergoing some restructuring worldwide, selling off assets worth $15-20 billion that will include sales in Nigeria.

I have it on good authority that they are selling off their interest in the Usan FPSO (180,000 bpd production) which was just commissioned this year to the Chinese. Since Total operates this FPSO, it is likely that most/all of the Total personnel working on the FPSO will also transfer over to Sinopec if this move goes through.

Dunno about y'all, but I wouldn't be very keen to work for the Chinese given their employment history in Nigeria.

DPR is your best bet. Approach a DPR office with a letter of introduction from your school or Office or whichever organisation or company you represent stating clearly what your intentions are. They will give you a covering letter to where you want to visit. Am sure of the DPR office in warri, i dont know of other DPR offices in other states of the Federation. Approach the DPR office close to you

To start with oil and gas is very vast. From exploration to design to construction and Fabrication to Drilling to commissioning to startup to the actual production then exportation, logistics and even training. You will agree with me that the industry cut across all fields. The individual will have to determine where he or she wants to belong. Where you want to belong will then determine the type of certification you need. The certification a production person needs is not the same certification a dynamic positioner needs. The certification an Instruments guy needs is not the same certification the Electrical guy needs. So, you will agree with me that you will have to determine where you can function first before deciding on the certification you need. Money should not be the driving force, oil and gas environment is a high risk environment, no room for second chance. You must be sure of what you are doing. Your action can lead to an avoidable catastrope. Just my opinion
