So you want igbos to support south west presidency candidate ? Because of what southern unity ?

Same southern unity yorubas killed in 2015 ?
Nobody is saying that. All we are saying is the major political parties should present a candidate from Southern Nigeria. There's nothing like zoning presidency to SE or SW. However, the fact is that Nigeria is two countries formed into one. Southern and Northern Nigeria, these two countries would have the right to their own president if there was no amalgamation. So for the sake of fairness and equity, presidency should be rotated between the two parts that make up Nigeria and not zoned to any particular zone. If it's rotated to the south, anyone from the south can contest, if it's to the north, anyone from the North can contest. One part of Nigeria can't keep ruling the country and expect the other part to be happy.

like I said earlier is a delay tactics. Joshua didn't come out to win, he had it all planned out to lose and go for a rematch, thereby becoming a 3 times heavy weight champ, which the great the great Mohammed Ali was too.

This tactics will give him more time as a heavyweight world champion. If he eventually faces fury or wilder and loses, that is bye bye to those belts. But with these other small guys he can always collect it back.

There should be a rematch in few months time. Its business bro

While I understand your logic, I don't think Usyk can be considered a small boy based on yesterday's performance. Personally, I think it's bye bye to the belts because I don't see AK beating Usyk in a rematch

easy bro its a delay tactics. There will be a rematch of this fight and Joshua collect his properties back, just like he did with Andy Ruiz that fat Mr IBU. I think it will give him more time and name as 3 times heavy weight champ when he collects it back. He can't beat wilder or fury so delay is his best option. Our thought

From what I saw yesterday, Usyk will smash him again if there's a rematch. Joshua has a lot to do if he's going to claim his titles back from Usyk. Let see what happens though

It was a poor performance from Joshua's end though. I don't think he is good enough to face Fury or Wilder. Usyk outclassed him

Just finished watching this match on my phone and I can say that this AJ can never defeat Tyson Fury with what I just witnessed tonight.

Favourchris:

Which United South, the one that sold them selves in 2015. Is funny how we forget so soon. Presidency is not by region, is by competence.

Let all Nigerians be it South, North or west or east contest, is their fundamental right.

The same way we shun the SE that they can guilt trip us into having president, the same we can't guilt trip the North into becoming president.

Let everyone contest
There's nothing wrong if the North continues to rule because it's "technically" Nigeria and every citizen has the right to contest for any position in the country.

The constitution doesn't say anything about rotating presidency, it's not even the best way to select a president.
Rotation of presidency is only coming up because Nigeria is literally made up of 2 countries, northern and southern. And it's only fair to rotate the opportunity to lead between the two sides. Afterall both countries would have produced their own president at that level if it wasn't for the amalgamation. Rotating between north and south isn't guilt tripping in my opinion. It's just respect and if it doesn't happen, no big deal

the west want presidency? You guy's will elect yourself this time around, stop hiding under the umbrella of United south to deceive yourself, if the east will not get it for equity and fairness let the north continue, if biafra is an excuse against the east, i don't know what to call yuroba nation struggle.

Zoning to the east isn't equity and fairness. What happens to North central? They've never had any democratic leader. Can't the position be zoned to them too?

What is the difference between the North contesting and the SW doing same? Why should one condemn one and applaud the other?

Truth is this, there's nothing like zoning presidency.
The only reason people are calling for rotation between North and South is for fairness and equity between the two countries that make up Nigeria. Now the onus is on anybody good enough in the south to position him/herself for the position incase it happens to be rotated to the south. It's a lot difficult to rotate presidency between the 6 senatorial zones because North central can even lay claim to the right to contest for the presidency just like south east. As much as we want rotation, we want competence as well. Rotation should end at the sub national level because having a competent leader is the priority.

One major party can present someone competent from the SW, the other party can present someone competent from the SE and let the country vote for the best candidate. It's fine if both parties end up finding competent candidates in your zone and it's also fine if the don't end up finding someone in your zone.
But both major parties cannot be expected to present someone from the SE simply because of "zoning".

While declaring total support for the Southern governors, Sagay said Nigeria is made up of two countries (North and South) amalgamated in 1914.

According to him, one part of the country cannot be ruling while treating the other part as inconsequential.

" I have been saying it in the last two years that the next president should be from the Southern part of the country. I agree with the Southern governors absolutely. We have to commit to fairness and inclusivity if this country is to remain as one. We are so diverse. It is a country where two large parts are amalgamated. They were not the same country before and that is still clear. So, the two sides must be involved in the governance of Nigeria.

“That issue of presidency must be conceded to the South now and then later to the North. The North is enjoying the period of presidency which will end in eight years, after that, I think it will be very reckless for anybody who insists that the North should continue to have it.

“It is like behaving as if the other part of the country is irrelevant and can be ignored, insulted and not considered in the issue of governance. That to me is dangerous. We should just agree that the next president should be from the South”.

I am not saying Nigeria should be divided. But if it's ever going to happen, people need to realise that this country can only be divided into two, along the amalgamation lines (North and South). All these calls for Biafra and Oduduwa Nation will not yield any fruit. Nigeria is two countries formed into one. It will be less difficult for the two countries involved go their separate ways than for Nigeria to break into 4 or 5 different parts.

Try Colorado state university and University of Maine at fort Kent.
For CSU, you have the privilege to apply for financial aid once you've started your application and financial aid portal will be open from October (I think October 3 or so) and for UMFK, they have 98℅ acceptance rate, low tuition and you can apply for financial aid too only when you've been admitted. I recommend this two schools. Wish you the best on your search
Thanks a lot

Hey please I just want to ask and it may sound funny. Are there schools that offer considerable scholarship or funding opportunities to undergraduate students? Also, can someone help with list of schools with affordable tuition fees in the US. I've been trying to find some online but it seems undergraduate education is pretty expensive in the US

There is need for sultanate arm there.

You are a clown. First Edo north are not entire muslims, secondly muslims aren't up to 40% in Edo state. Those from Edo north have their traditional rulers and they do not need a f******g sultan. The definition of sultan is a king for a Muslim state. Edo is not a Muslim state! Edos and Edoids have nothing to do with any religious king. Our tradition and kingdom existed way before Christianity and Islam and it's sacred. Besides the Shuwa Arab people are not Edo people. We do not care about them. They are only allowed to live in Edo state because of the union Nigeria, they have no right to any traditional ruler, they are subject to the laws and traditions of Edo land. Because we are tolerant and peace loving people doesn't mean you can come here to demand rubbish. Be careful, be guided.

I just hope people with such timid and coward mindset are in the minority in your zone or else it is finished for you guys. How you wrote this self deprecating and cowardly drivel with confidence is what baffles me more.

If your almighty Northern Nigeria was formidable, why did it have to rely on foreign powers to fight a Biafra that was blockaded and had no weapons yet the Nigerian side lost more combatants at the war front than Biafra did. Nigeria had to resort to bombing soft targets like schools, hospitals, markets and homes to get even! Why not pick history books about the civil war and read, black man?!

Right now, the Tigray region of Ethiopia that is actually a minority in that country just like Tiv, Ijaw or Ibibio are in Nigeria are currently pummeling Ethiopian federal army, with thousands of Ethiopian soldiers already held hostage by the Tigrayans!!

If the Tigrayans have your type of timid and cowardly mindset, they won't even imagine going into war against Ethiopia when they're just a minority. It is your type of mindset that will ensure you guys remain in slavery till thy kingdom come.

FYI, Yorubas and Igbos were tactically included through Dahomey and Anambra basins respectively, so it is the Niger Delta that are 100% losers here!

You're still fixated with Biafra and Oduduwa wanting you to be with them whether real or imagined yet you can't fight for yourself and worse still don't even believe in yourself while elevating your enemy as indomitable.

What a shame, tufiakwa!!!

Calm down! Don't be a clown because you are emotional. The civil war is in the past and is different from what ya'll are calling for. It was a war ffs and wars are about military power. The Igbos had fine military men who were in the Nigerian military and they later led the Biafran military and those men trained others. So it's normal that Nigeria found it tough.

The poster was just talking about how the south needs to unite and he has a point. There's strength in Unity and that's true. On the other hand, no one really cares if the south is united or not. You see this thing you are clamouring for, it's a long journey. Even if it happens, it may not even happen in your life time, so there's no need to be emotional about someone else's post. You think it's easy to just break a country into fragments?

The Tigray forces received reinforcements from defecting Ethiopian soldiers, so it is not a big deal for them to hold Ethiopian soldiers in captive because they have people with well trained military skills fighting for them not because they have a lot of brave and courageous people who woke up one morning and picked up arms. They are fighting a war for ffs, so you expect their army/rebels to be crushed overnight?. And besides the current conflict is politically motivated.

And you know why you are fighting a lost battle? Because you guys are fighting for self determination along tribal lines. You have a problem with the North and you are letting the hatred consume you.

Don't attack someone for his opinion because he doesn't agree with yours. If you are asked the reason you are agitating, I'm sure you wouldn't find something ideological to say. You want to break out because Nigeria has failed you(true, I agree) but that's what being cowardice really is. So why attack someone that doesn't agree with you?

I personally think it is only a stupid person that will make this about Lai Mohammed and not about Nigeria and her real asset worth most distracted and BBN-focused young Nigerians are ignorant of.

Some Nigerians, based on their personal perspective, love to think Nigeria is worthless and of no use to anything or anyone. Crass, self-limiting and self-destructive ignorance.

Nigeria host the biggest consumer market in Africa and one of the most profitable internet penetration and usage rate in Africa along with being Africa's biggest tech market.

Go and think about those figures and what they may mean for firms like Twitter, and others like them, before you start speaking out of blind hate for Nigeria and her leaders like Buhari, lai Mohammed etal. You should look at the figures and logically think whether Twitter can really afford to ignore or alienate her Nigerian market and users.

Any young Nigerian who continues to see personalities like Buhari and Lai Mohammed, mere mortals who will live and die, rather than focus on ideas that will outlive us all, will never be one of life's clued-on winners like Zuckerberg, Dorsey, Gates etc.

https://www.cgdev.org/reader/new-economy-africa-opportunities-nigerias-emerging-technology-sector?page=0

Omo, all these ones are stories. You don't need to attack anyone for their opinions.

Also he didn't say Nigeria is worthless. He only questioned Lai Mohammed's credibility and we know the man has a long history of telling lies and fake news.

Nigerians are still using Twitter even with the ban. That said, Twitter doesn't need to open an office in Nigeria simply because "Nigeria hosts the biggest consumer market in Africa and one of the most profitable internet penetration and usage rate in Africa along with being Africa's biggest tech market."

Twitter will do what they have to do to resolve the ban because that's what any sensible business organisation would do even if it was a small country that's involved.

Don't come and be forming alpha and omega of Africa here and think businesses will start crawling because of Nigeria's youthful population.

Dirty Hyporcrites! This is the problem of Nigeria.

So many of these self acclaimed leaders are corrupt! Ask them to give account of how they have behaved as leaders and humans, you will find 99% of them are corrupt. Yet they come out in public to say immorality is bad and claim others are immoral. Isn't it funny? Corrupt ones criticising some "allegedly" immoral ones.
