Blue3k: Yeah it's pretty interesting. I have a thread on economics of boko haram terrorism if you're interested. The tax system they set is some ways better than the legitimate governments.
War's a racket.
True but that ones whinding down. Assad kept the state from fracturing like Libya doing the civil war. Ideology is hard to kill hence why I suggested de-radicalization for wider population.
Anyway guys what is victory? Pls I'm interested. |

Anyway guys what is victory? Assad thoroughly crushed the rebels. Maybe it's because Russia gave him support and America wasn't really interested in ousting Assad. They have learnt their lesson about removing leaders and creating power vacuums as seen in Libya. |

Blue3k: Personally I dont believe in technical defeats. I don't believe Nigeria can say it won the war until they dislodge them from places they remain in control. In the Lake Chad basin they collect taxes. The next goal has to be reconstruction and economic development. The government already doing de-radicalization programs but they should consider broading it to wider population. Not only do they collect taxes but they also fish there sef. |

Amujale: Primary commodities are deemed "primary" due to their high importance.
As a matter of fact, African countries have all the natural resources one would ever need to turn the world into a more better place.
Foreign and malicious influenc are the major obstacle to progress on the continent.
Asia and Europe either need to choose to cease their exploitative activities on the continent or be made to does so by all means necessary. You are saying exploitative as if they don't pay for these commodities .Between steel and a car which is more valuable ? |

KoiceReloaded: The Witcher
Disappointing. I was very excited to optically discern this show, because I thought Henry Cavill would be impeccable as the witcher, and indeed he was. Alas they didn't explore his character arc enough, rather, they fixated on minor characters, who were frankly insipid.
Then the plot line... what a trainwreck. No exposition, no worldbuilding, nothing. I gotta say, it was a gruelling journey in the murky ocean of vagueness.
Jeez, what a shitshow. Definitely won't recommend. Where have u been since? |

Blue3k: Anyway it's interesting when you look back and remember the OPEC Nations Embargoed America. I dont know the current arab leaders/ muslim majority leaders are interested in doing thst to China. They could throw China into a recession. The thing is china has a few other options to subsist from like Venezuela, Angola and Iran who need the cash.
FYI: China is holding 1.1 million Uighur Muslims in concentration camps. They're having them eat pork, drink beer, shave their beards and sing communist party songs. I could go on all day about the state backed atrocities. And Nigeria biko |

panpan: This appears to be a subtle way by France to frustrate an independent joint West African currency.
France and Ivory Coast have cunningly changed the name "CFA" to "Eco", with currency links to France, but without the input of non-CFA West African countries.
What this means is that CFA countries in West Africa will now say that they have adopted the Eco, and it is left for non-CFA countries to join the now France-backed Eco or stay on their own. Was it France that forced the to still leave the currency pegged to the Euro ? It's just like saying because China pegs the Yuan to the dollar therefore u.s is manipulating China . Lool |

1Sharon: Purify it? What do you mean
Do you know how islam got to the north? Purify it in the sense that Usman Danfodio felt that the northerners of that time were mixing Islam with idol worship. Islam got to the northern part of Nigeria through North Africa and the Senegalese basin. Merchants from North Africa and Mali converted traditional rulers. The first traditional rulers to be converted to Islam was the Main of kanem bornu empire and this was in the 11th century. |

Hmm..I need to research more Islam never spread to the north through the fulanis. The Usman Danfodio fulani jihad wasn't to spread Islam. It was to purify it.Islam has been in the north since as far back as 900 a.d. |

Blue3k: I really dont understand why people think stealing resources is preferable to trading. If foreign powers can they'd just trade for it rather than sponsoring a proxy war. Look at china in Africa. They'd rather use predatory loans and bad trade deals with corrupt politicans. Mauritania is the newest example. Funny enough the only country I know that actually steals resources is an African country called Rwanda. |

Blue3k: I disagree with you assessment. France can buy oil from Nigeria either way and it gets its uranium from Niger Republic. They could buy Niger Republic's oil once its builds a pipeline with Benin Republic. They dont need to destabilize Nigeria for either.
The obvious party to blame would be Saudi Arabia who's known to sponsor terrorism all over the world. Boko haram are Salafi jihadists. That's why one faction rebranded calling themselves ISWAP. France that islamic terrorists have shown pepper will now be the one to sponsor Boko Haram !!! LMAO I laugh in nuclear powers |

grandstar: Rubbish.
Other countries focus on the exports of textiles and garments here we are talking of buy made-in-Nigeria
Textile and garments usually form the foundation of a prosperous country. It is a sector that Third World nations have a comparative advantage as it is labor-intensive and poor countries have cheap labor in abundance while Whether it is Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or even China, they owe massive thanks to this sector. They exported textiles and garments by the shipload. Why can't African countries compete in textiles with Asia ? Cc Omohayek |

If everyone was well educated, at least had qualitative education up to secondary school level, fertility rates would drop very fast to low levels. It will barely pass 2.5 children per woman . The replacement rate is 2.1 per woman 5.3 per woman in the South and yet we behave as if it's only Northerners that give birth a lot. |

Beorn: I thought Predestination was the magnum opus of mind-twisting for me till I completed Memento few hours ago. Good God!! This movie is the pinnacle of mind-fuckîng so far for me.
With Predestination, I understood about 80% of the movie before reading up on the final 20% to fully understand the movie. But Memento? I was confused all through. Never have a movie got me confused all through its duration like Memento. It left me dazed. Two happenings occurring sequentially, involving the same characters, in a chronological and reverse order, before reaching an amazing climax. When I read the various explanations and fully understood the movie, my jaw dropped. Amadeo, I doff my heart for you. You sabi good movies. Damn!! Christopher Nolan is an amazing director.
Memento, for such a brilliant script, I'm giving it 10/10. Memento is the best film I have watched this year. I give it 9.8/10. |

It's as if the Nairaland Trump-supporting brigade really believes that if they are fervent enough in singing Cheetolini's praises, the orange con-man and his most fervent American admirers would ever view them as anything more than n*ggers from a sh*thole nation. Black Africans cheering this racist crook on make as much sense as Jews cheerleading for the klansman David Duke. They prolly like him because he hates gays and Muslims and because he recognised Jerusalem as capital of Isreal. |
