Christianity Etc › Atheists , Do U Sometimes Wish U Never Became Atheists by urahara(op): 2:14am On May 09, 2016 |
Do u sometimes wish u never became an atheist. Do u sometimes wish u never lost ur belief in a god or gods. If your answer is yes , is this because u wish u could keep believing an omnipotent , all loving being always answers your prayers , always protects u from harm.
Is this because u sometimes need the mental and emotional comfort belief in a god or gods bring.
Is this because u need to feel that there is a being who can solve all your problems.
Is this because reality sometimes becomes unbearable and u want to feel that there is someone you can put all ur problems on. Someone u can lean on.
Someone who has a master plan
Someone who, if things go wrong , u can always say it is part of his plan
Pls atheists share your views , reasons , answers , etc.

seguun: Hello Hardmirror,
indeed I salute your efforts in simply being human. our consciousness is no doubt the greatest weapon we possess as humans.
this whole concept of God and human relationship I will advice will be best understood by going for a SAFARI holidays (if you can afford it ofcourse. if you cant, pay more attention to the wild life documentaries on your local cables). you will realize that the SAFARI guides will instruct you never to interfere with whatever wildlife behavior you may experience in the wild. it's for your own safety first, but the ultimate reason is because whatever happens in the wild is exactly what makes the wild "alive" and "balances" the entire ecosystem. for instance, it's may be so terrifying to you to see a lion tearing a cute baby deer to pieces but if deers are left to proliferate, it may turn out harmful to the entire ecosystem. Hence, predators such as lions are natural agent to check their population.
Now coming to our own 'world' as humans with consciousness and all sorts of emotions. the sight of a boy without anus or famine ravaged community, or a blind man from birth...is really disturbing. While it becomes necessary for us to offer some help, it might just be the best thing for that particular time or situation. for instance, you missed your flight and it hurts you so much only to discover that the same flight crashed later. I know the next you will say is ; " so those who all died in the crash are not humans abi?!...you see my friend, the best thing aren't always what we like or desire. one of the passengers might be a very good person and a look into his future life, he might later turn evil. So death at that time might be the best thing for him to end it up on goodwill. Another passenger might be a hired assassin who has to go take the life of an innocent man...Even though it is necessary for all the agencies including the pilots and even passengers to make sure they have a safe flight...Also necessary for the authority to investigate the cause of the crash in other to avoid such later, whatever happens ultimately is the best at that particular time.
The problem with your former faith is that it pays so much emphasis on MIRACLES AND WONDERS...there is no way such faith won't continue to record situations like yours. Even though miracles exist, God occasionally performs miracles through any of his creatures when VERY NECESSARY. just in the case of war situation in a country, and the elephants were all killed for their ivory in other to purchase arms during the war. After the war, the government may result to buying elephants from other countries and reintroduced to the wild to balance the ecosystem again. if the animals in the SAFARI were humans and the government is God, you can see it's a necessary miracle because there's no way elephants would have gotten back to that wild without the intervention of a higher power because the elephants have been totally wiped out during the the war. Now in the case of you and your colleague "forcing" the poor dumb boy to speak, how do you determine at that time it is necessary for the boy to speak and that is the best thing for him.
So in essence my brother, you cannot force God to act out of your own ordinary human emotional feelings.
Think about this then we go next to "why there must be a God and the universal concept of God".
Thanks. Guy why naw. |

It is not good to listen to music that has sounds of musical instruments. It is an instrument of shaythan. 7. When a cock crows , thank your lord for it has seen an angel. 8. When a donkey brays , it has seen a devil. 9. If i defecate while facing mecca , i ll go to hell. 10. The bible proves islam is right , because it says jesus bowed when praying. 11. The prophet was not wrong in marrying a 6 year old because 6 year olds must have been more matured in those days than 6 year olds of naw. 12.. Xtians are very stubborn. They dont just want to believe islam is true. 13. Islam is right because. I can feel it in ny heart. 14 . rinse your nose with water because has shaythan has defecated in it Happy mothers day. |

HardMirror: Lol Goood story there wish you could tell more.
God INTENTIONALLY refuses to answer some prayers for our good. WOW!!!!!!!!
Please talk to me. I asked earlier why God created a baby without anus
1. Should we pray for the child so God would open his anus?
2. Should we take the child to the hospital so the child is operated on and given an anus?
3. So you prayed and met your father and then realized that God knew what he was doing for making him run away. Does this mean we can pray then God would open the Boy's anus and then we would all regret praying for the boy to be normal?
4. Are we supposed to gather round and praise God for creating the boy without anus. We praise God till the boy dies. Then we praise God for making the boy die? Since you are telling us you were supposed to be grateful to God for giving you an irresponsible father
Answer me!
We all know to pray to God in this situation is useless. We all know God won't answer. Does this mean God refuses to answer because he knows it is best this child does not have an anus? At least that is your logic.
You bring your story which has nothing to do with any god here and you are busy claiming God intentionally made your father ran away.
What about having a loving dad that supported you and your mum, does that not sound better?
So having an irresponsible father now is the will of God. Damn it!
Answer me. Why create a child without anus?
I know God has nothing to do with a child being born without an anus. It's all a genetic and development accident. I know you having an irresponsible father has nothing to do with God. But since it must all be God, please answer my questions about the child without anus. Hard mirror , why did u even reply that stupid comment |

JackBizzle: Weird Atheism
Has anyone seen a dramatic change in lifestyle after becoming an atheist? I know different people have different reactions but here is mine;
After becoming an atheist-
1) I have become more thoughtful about things. But this has also made me moody. This is because I am starting to realise that life is unfair and that so many people waste their lives for useless things like religion and wars.
2) I'm more interested in science fiction and the supernatural. I keep wondering what is at the end of the universe. I consume horror and sci fi movies like a madman.
3) I'm a more curious person. Nowadays, I tend to demand for proof or more explanations for things.
4) I can't stop thinking about death and history. When it comes to death, I just wonder why we are here in the first place when it is so easy to die and never come back. As for history, I keep wondering about the generations before us. When I see an old house, I imagine the people who have lived there and died there.
5) Children. My love and pity for children has grown. I realised how much misinformation we are abused with as children. The religious indoctrination and the cultural taboos. I try to teach children whenever I have the chance.
6) Hatred. There is this hatred for deceivers and false prophets. There was a time I even sat next to a pastor. This guy was so fake with all his jewleries and he was talking to me gently. Despite his gentle approach, I moved away. I could not just stand his fakeness. The clown was talking humble but has jewelry worth millions on his hands and necks. I can't even listen to christian preaching anymore or even Nigerian politicians when they speak. They lie lie lie lie.
Have you guys changed in any way?
