Everyone loves change. Its the constant thing in existance, so we all look forward to positive changes.
Am just a bit skeptical about 'this change' preached by the APC members. Buhari the acclaimed peoples general refused to produce his certificate, yet Amaechi, Rivers state govenor and a vibrant member of this change party kept requesting for the result sheet of his ward.
I am not preaching that electoral malpractice is right, but am of the opinion that if Amaechi could question electoral officers, why wont GMB produce his waec certificate when Nigerians asked for it?
Am still not comfortable with the people preaching this change. Come 2019, try again with men of unquestionable character.

True. Its really bad to do dat. Considering d hardwork he did to get dat far. The judge is cool sha. I love listening to him. He actually lectured us as to y he keeps ruling in favor of d accused. He says it has to do away with technicalities. That d law evolves. So i wonder if he wld just sit in court n make new laws rather dan wait/hint d law makers. Hmmmm. Its ok sha.

That guy has liver mehn. That's one thing I will never ever say to a judge. Judges generally hate being threatened with appeal. If I was in that Judge's position I would have descended heavily on him and then written my judgment in such a way that he would still lose on appeal. Its not good to undermine judges like that. You never know when you might need their recommendation. But some federal high court judges can be dumb sha.

Lolx! Funny dude. Thats how to treat them sha. One efcc prosecutor here blasted d judge ones. I felt for him smhw. The judge kept rulling in favor of d accused as to tendering original doc(statements) instead of ctc. The efcc guy was always angry. One day he told d judge 'my lord i knw if i appeal against dis ur decision, ild win'
yekpa!!!! I felt bad cos he undermined d judges efficiency. Sometimes dese judges need to take a chill pill, they aint God despite the 'my lord' "winks

It depends on the lawyer. Some lawyers really don't care. There is a judge in Ota, Ogun state, justice Bakre who descends into the arena often because he is too brilliant. Anytime a trial is going on before him, he hates having a situation where one of d lawyers is not quite sound enough. You will see him giving the disadvantaged lawyer strong hints, which often angers other lawyers. There was this day I was in court and a lawyer said to him ''I never knew my lord is also appearing on behalf of the defendant'' The lawyer said it while laughing but it was clear that he was serious. All of us at the bar were shocked at his effrontery but Guess what, heavens did not fall! Rather the judge took d hint and stopped helping d oda lawyer.
I hate judges who descend but sometimes it can also be in one's favor.

Fine, if that is the case then every university in Nigeria should be closed down, after all there is no course in Nigeria (Medicine, Engineering, Law, Nursing, Psychology et al) that is not a photocopy (quoting you). Dude what are you saying? This is the kind of complex we are fighting in the profession. Most of these returnee lawyers from ivy schools have no idea and seriously get lost in the Nigerian Legal System. Let me tell you the truth you don't know, in such firms, it is the few Nigerian lawyers schooled here in our obodo Nigeria that do the bulk of the work. The ivy trained lawyers only come to court in their shiny white wigs to take dates and move motions. What do you define as rich that having a personal home, three cars and sending your kids to good schools based on your personal entrepreneurship, not collecting salary o, is now classified as 'not rich'. My guy think this thoroughly

I'm a lawyer and proud to be one, but I never considered marrying a colleague, in fact I ran from the idea. Something about turning the house into a quotidian courtroom where the Barr. Mrs. becomes the aggressive Advocate, Judge and Executioner! A bad Ruling could involve lenghty adjournment from all bed matters.

Have you noticed the way spinster lawyers introduce themselves in court? The MISS is always muttered in a low tone, but the MRS. is pronounced rather loudly and with a peacockish pride. Some bad belle female judges even with a sadistic smile inquire loudly Miss or Mrs. should the spinster neglect to add the 'needful' appellation. I enjoy the courtroom drama shaaa. I only wish clients didn't think lawyers have this special place where we pluck money to survive

If you have never given a thought about dating a lawyer, this post is going to come as a reminder that you might be missing out on something wonderful. Yes I know there are a whole lot of misconceptions about lawyers, but hey, you might want to check out these reasons why you might at least give a thought about dating a lawyer. So here we go:


1) You will be proud to introduce them as lawyers to your friends and family

Who wouldn't want to associate with the prestige and respect the legal profession commands? You wouldn't have to wait to be asked what he or she does; you will just have it rolling out of your mouth, though that’s not a guarantee of money rolling from them to your pocket. You will be proud to have a “learned” person as a date, and your family and friends will be so proud of you.


2) Dating a lawyer means you wouldn't have to pay for legal services

Now you've got all your legal issues addressed for free. You don’t have to pay any consultation fee of any sort. You will have free legal services all to yourself. Now that is something to think about, because legal services these days
are not that affordable as it used to be.

3) Lawyers are known to be good dressers

I know you wouldn't want to date folks who are horrible with their dressing. If that’s the case, then your chances of avoiding that could be reduced if you date a lawyer. Lawyers are generally known to be good dressers, probably because of the nature of the profession; where they are trained on how to dress.


4) Lawyers are known to be smart and intelligent

Wouldn't you want a partner you can make a good and intelligent conversation with? I bet you wouldn't want to be hanging around a mate who doesn't know the things happening around in their environment and can’t make intelligent conversation. Lawyers are known to have a wide source of knowledge of things happening around them in the society. Lawyers are also known to be avid readers, which exposes them to a lot of information. All these exposures, tend to make them more smart and intelligent than their mates.

5) Lawyers are good story tellers

We all long to hear good stories every once in a while. Lawyers by the nature of their training know how to tell stories. Also, the nature of their work also makes it easy for them to come up with stories to tell. I mean, they are always in the center of human interaction and conflict resolution, and so they get to know and see stuff. Wouldn't you want some good stories every now and then?


6) Lawyers are good talkers

Sometimes it can be sexy to be a good talker. You know you want to hang around people that you will be proud of when they open their mouth to talk. Lawyers are known to be good talkers, eloquent, and come off as intelligent when they talk. In fact, the greatest orators are known to be lawyers. So if you want to have such folks as a date, you better check out lawyers.


7) Lawyers will stand for you even if you are wrong

Wouldn't you want somebody who will stick out for you even if you are wrong? If that’s what you are looking for, then look no further, because you will find that in lawyers. Lawyers by their training don’t just give in to stuffs without putting up some fight. So, if you have a lawyer as a date, you are sure of having someone who will stand by you whether you are wrong or right. Now tell me if you wouldn't want that?

Assuming you have never given a thought about dating a lawyer, now is the time to do that.
