Car Talk / Re: Japanese Cars Vs German Cars - Which Do You Prefer To Use In Nigeria? by urchmanx(m): 3:03am On Jul 17, 2015
It all depends. This days Japanese cars are also expensive to maintain and buy. Sometimes when I look the prize of those JP cars I wonder why people buy them. The fuel economy are not better than the German cars which is the reason people buy them. On the parts I prefer to buy parts and never worry about them unlike the JP cars that u can replace the same parts over and over again. Like most people said it all depends on the purpose in which you wanted the car in the first place. To me I prefer German cars anyday. I have used Benz in Nigeria all the time and I use JP cars and American outside Nigeria. They can't be compared.
Nb. This section of the forum remains the best section in this forum this is were name calling and tribe remark are not made and we all unite as one. This section still keep me in nairaland. Thanks everyone you guys are the best.

I never forget another trick that if you put the card half way. The units will not court but u have to be an expert to do that. I remember using this card to call my poople in U.S. Then because my mom never allowed us to use the landline and person needs his personal parole.
It seems today is remembrance of oldie days.

Its even below my estimation. A country with almost 180 million population. I expect bank accounts from like 20%... 36 million
That will tell you that Nigeria is not up to that number. I always tell people that number is made up by greedy politicians to get more revenue and states. How can Kano have more population than Lagos.

Well, let me use my state to elucidate my point, Cross River State is made of three senatorial districts, South, Central and North CRS...The present governor is from the Northern Senatorial district, his COS and SSG are from the his district and yet there's no fuse whatsoever from other parts of the State...
Also he's yet to appoint Commissioners still no fuse, so why are we all on GMB's neck? Obviously it's more to do with hate for his Religion/Tribe than a fair demand...Objectivity is all I'm trying to encourage... Some folks say "Charity begins at home"
There is no federal character at the state level. Go learn Nigerian politics.

Spoken like a true small mind. Congrats. In Power relations, have you ever heard of EXCLUSIVITY and how it's presence or absense largely determines how those who wield power achieve their goals or not?? How do you rule, esp an extremely diverse country like Nigeria with lots of diverse interests centrifugally tucking at each other, if you completely EXCLUDE certain large sections and wats worse, make it so damn obvious. And for wat, cos they didn't largely vote for you.?? How shallow!!!

Were the SW excluded in 1999 when they didn't vote for OBJ?? Wia the north excluded in 2011 when they massively voted against GEJ??

The time of reckoning would soon be upon us. No worry...
Thank you for this contribution. Some forks here think the SE didn't vote for buhari. They forget that the 25% he got over there gave him victory. Let's watch and see how this turns out.

Am tempted to call some of u CRAZY! But I'll be civil enough not to go that route. How does this concern U ppu? Is it in Nigeria that it was legalized? Why not worry about what's on ur own plate?Boko, corruption,unemployment..e.t.c Smh, I just see a bunch of people who just want to talk for the sake of it. Too much Chatter. If anything some of u saying end time, have u thought it wise that this could be a distraction positioned to stray u away from making ur ways Right with God?
You all are just shouting, if as many persons who have claimed that this man should be d last person to even open his lip to point fingers at such morally geared subject, then it just shows u how human beings are.
Since he is known to be a BedHopper, shouldn't he be channelling this energy to go change his ways and do better? Has he? Here he is acting all brand New. Then u still have some of you who do the unthinkable behind closed doors and are so wicked to the next person.
No need to even listen to this man, cause he has no morals of any sort to start with. Maybe if this was said be a more respectable person who respects the institution called marriage then, we'd be rallying behind to say 'yes he has a point".
Again, no need for all this talk, because it wasn't in nigeria. That should be dia own palava and not YOURS lipsrsealed
Let me tell you how it concern us. The west will use all the agent of neo-colonialism to push it on to Africa under the pretense of human right. Remember what happened when Nigeria and other Africa nation raised against it and the shouted that they will withdraw our aid.

Politics / Legislative Recall by urchmanx(m): 1:00am On Jun 26, 2015
After watching the dishonorable member of the House of Representatives fighting. I was so disappointed and this question came to me.
What is the constitutional way of recalling this NaS members and why haven't any member being recalled before in Nigeria?
Whose job is it to educated the electorate on the process of recall?
What is the initial steps to be taken before a recall?
Is recall a party affair?
I want us to discuss this so we can educate ourselves.
I believe if we know the process and this dishonorable members knows that we can recall them, is a huge winning to Nigerian democracy.
I believe why this boys are disgracing us is because the think once the win election their link to the mass are over and since we have not bothered to checkmate them with our powers the behave the way they want and look only after themselves.
I appreciate everyone contribution.

Lol. I wonder how some people think. Civil servants are the hardest set of employers to sack and retire with just a memo. This news is fake and I didn't believe it. Those of you shouting it's a good development. How does broking the law serves as doing things the right way. The law that establish the civil service commission clearly stated the rule for retirement either by age or service year. And those find to be corrupt must go through the disciplinary committee.
You can't retire people to creat jobs. Have you thought of the over head cost of such action. You have to pay this guys their benefits and still pay them pension. Which one is cost effective and the will still go with their years of experience and expertise. They will still be reappointed as consultants and adhoc stuffs because of the experience.
PMB should creat more jobs and didn't mess with people's life because it will come back to hurt him later. When you hear soldier come soldier go barracks still remain. An the civil servants be the barracks. They are the continuity of government and the have strong law backing them that no one have succeeding in messing with them

As for me having a house in my home town is the best achievement I have in my lifetime. I know I visit home every two to three years although I have decided to be visiting every year now. But the thought that my parents are leaving and staying in my mansion so to say gives me joy and happiness that I have done something for them. To be frank with you the highest I have stayed in my house is three months but it felt better than 10 years I have leaved abroad. I have never been secured and happy without the thought of city issues. Though my home town is considered town because u also need at least 8 million to get a land there. Igbo please build at your home town.

The PDP knew if they went for the Senate President position, the 8 APC senators present would have refused to vote for them. It would have been an all PDP affair and thus easier to be overruled by the court. Moreover, the uproar that would have ensued would not be too good for the country.

They are able to pull this off just because to some extent Saraki too has some level of support in the APC. You'll soon see that at the end of it all, it is the Deputy senate president position that will be used for reconciliation. No need to talk too much. Just wait and see. It is at that point that the PDP will realise that Saraki just used them for his own ambition.

Do you know why I am laughing at you? Because you didn't know shit about how things are done at the national assemble. APC needs around 74 senators to remove the Sp and the DSP and they didn't have that number.

I will tell this story. A friend of my as an agent sold a piece of land. And ten % of it is 300k. That was on Friday so he brought home the money against paying tithe on Sunday. On Saturday his neighbor wife was hospitalized as she was pregnant and had complication. The Neigbour came to him and begged for help. The amount of money needed for the doctors to commerce treatment is the same amount of money he brought home. He called his pastors and explained the situation and asked if its a sin. The pastor even nearly cursed him saying tithing should never be used for any thing other than tithing. Thank God for that day as God opened my friend eyes and he took that man and paid for the hospital bills. Today that woman is alive with the kid. For me I share my 10% to all the windows and needy in my community. No one tells me shit. This was the same verse that saved me and my friend. No pastor is from the tribe of the Levites. And no one is worthy to have my title. Jesus never paid tithe and focused more on the great commission. I feel more blessed when I help people than when I pay tithe. For those of you that will say any nonesense quoting me. I contribute more to my church in fact this Xmas I have planned on building a living quarters for the pastors of my local church and I have an Ngo running under the church paying for school fees of 3 kids every year under my mothers memorial. And nothing the pastors have not done to convince me to pay my tithe to them. I am not giving them my hard earn money. Everyone needs dollar. Not my.

Career / Re: Why Are Some Female Customer Care Assistant Bankers Hyper-reactive? by urchmanx(m): 3:34pm On Jun 12, 2015
I had my fair encounter with them this Xmas. I will say this,GTB bank is one of the best banks but the attitude of the customer service personal are nothing to right home about. They told me that I can't perform any transaction on my account without the token device. I went into the bank around 12 filled the form and they told me that the system to active the token was down. After waiting for hours I complained, the customer service told me that the lady that will do it for me is not around. I waited for hours and she came back and attained to her friend that called her on the phone. When it was my turn she told me is 4 and the system cut of time has reached. I went back to the customer service to complain she became rude. Trust me wasting my 4 hours. That was what I couldn't take. I called head office in their presence. Made sure their was case Id on the issue and a copy sent to my email. See as the bank manager rush come solve the problem. I was pissed because I only have 24 hours to stay around, they lied to me that the system was down and they were rude. She was begging me to stop the call that it will put her into trouble but I have reached my limit as well.

assignment

go and check the meaning of dictator and compare it with your character then read what you posted before getting angry cheesy
First of all you can't give me assignment on that because I am better than you in that field of study. The character you referring to is that I stand by the simplest thing in culture and society. Behaviorism is dynamic, I was brought up in a good family background, my mother didn't retained her maiden name, her mother didn't. All my mentors and people I like unto didn't and my culture doesn;t allow it! Does that make me a dictator because I want things to be done the way I know and believe is right. Like I said make your point which I will also respect and didn;t call me names which you can't even define.
Hiding behind a computer or phone and calling people name is cowardliness.

You didn't need to envy her. People around do envy and respect us. Read what I said, When it comes to basic like this the is no point dragging it. She knows the tradition of marriage before she marries me. I am not acting movie in the house. She has her freedom and she does want she wants in the house, that doesn't mean she will take the place of dictating what happens in OUR home. Its a decision we both make. Like I said her mother didn't keep her name so why should she? And I will not support or subject my daughter in retaining my name. Wtf If my daughter is getting married she will answer her husband name and not my. You didn't know me and you shouldn't call me names. I said my opinion and I am not married to you.
Family / Re: New Craze In Town- Ladies Retaining Their Fathers Name After Marriage by urchmanx(m): 8:07pm On May 12, 2015
Its also not a bad idea for our children to bear their mothers name. We want change take it all.
Family / Re: New Craze In Town- Ladies Retaining Their Fathers Name After Marriage by urchmanx(m): 8:05pm On May 12, 2015
I pity some ladies here. I just didn't want to mention names. Its quiet simple everyone has a choice and no one is forcing you to get married. If you think you want change and you want to create your own experimental family as long as the man agrees that's your cup of tea. The OP question said what do you think? In my opinion my wife MUST have my name without argument. We can only talk about this issue if her mom retained her name (LOL)
Some people may wonder why I said MUST.... I respect women, and my wife has all the freedom and liberty any woman can ask for. I give her the best thing in life and we live in civilized society. But she must understand that there are difference between watching reality shows and movie to real life. I have always cautioned bringing in all this crazy fake reality show to my home. That is a no no.
Someone said if she had a wonderful father... I am a wonderful man!!! Some said if her father is rich... I am rich in my capacity!!! Some say because of her document.... There has always been a legal and easy way to do change of name and I have never heard someone being denied of positions and right because of change of name.
So ladies if you want to retain your fathers name partially and completely that should be a discussing for your man. As for me.... There is no camera in my bedroom and I am not on tv. I am a real man that wants a real home and family plus the simplest things in life.
