Frankrobbn1: You don't need the login details, you can simply create a new one and begin your online application.
It will end in praise Thank you so much sir. How do I go about the biometrics this time? Since I've done that before? |

Hello NL. Great work here.
An agent helped me with my first application. But I plan on reapplying. Do I need the login details of the former account or I can go ahead to open to a new one? |

Good evening great people! Since folks that have previously applied for a Visa don't need to redo the biometric palava, will it be a green light if they ask for medicals? |

Nwannediutor: Most of the schools in Canada will be delivering fall term online. What this means is that even after you have gotten your visa, you will not need to travel to Canada until maybe December 2020 for the beginning of the winter term. Thank you very much sir. |

dommakavelli: I think the law says you are allowed to defer your study for another semester or 150 days, whichever comes first. For example, if you're supposed to start in September but can't make it, you're allowed to start in January and that would be the latest. Just make sure you have a valid admission letter. Also, I believe Canada chooses not to issue visa for the spring and summer semesters to protect the integrity of this law. Thank you so much. To defer that admission, I'd have to contact the school right? |

Good afternoon guys. I've got a question.
If one gets a study visa for fall i.e September, and fails to leave the country few weeks after then is there any negative effect? |

Uriel12: so the next admission will be open for when? And fall 2020 starts from September to when please?
Thank you in advance! Anyone on this please? Cause I'm still seeing a school open for Fall 2020 undergrad Admission. |

Nwannediutor: You don't need to do another biometrics with VFS again if you have done that already (in the last 10 years), the only appointment you may be having with them is for submission/collection of passport.
For the second question, diff schools are processing and issuing acceptance letters currently. Fall 2020 is out of it though. so the next admission will be open for when? And fall 2020 starts from September to when please? Thank you in advance! |

Good evening guys. I've been a low-key watcher. After a Visa refusal, and one wants to apply again, will there still be need for another VFS appointment? And will study applications i.e school admissions still be processed during this time, seeing the COVID-19 situation? Thank you for answering in advance! |

fkj950ax: Some people don't fully understand how IT helps with certain tasks. Imagine every word in English language is embedded in Microsoft Word which underlines in red and green when you make mistakes. That's the most rudimentary form of IT and Database.
Checks are carried out on everyone who applies for any type of entry into the US. These checks are done by automation, then reviewed by a human being at interview. The human being doesn't carry out the checks.
We do not have a baseline database info in Nigeria, that's why you can walk to INEC Voters Registration Centre and say you are XYZ, and that is accepted at that point by the INEC staff. Is there a way to check? But you are stuck with that identity forever. Ditto Drivers License and Immigration Passport and CBN BVN... Now they ask for NIN numbers. From the National identity Card. |

fkj950ax: Sorry about the refusal Gospelozy.
You were asked where are you going (Location) and it seemed you answered with your prepared answer to the question of what are you going there to do.
Also, conference, workshop, seminars are red herrings at the embassy because they are just smokes and mirrors. Even local conferences are viewed as talk shops by us Nigerians.
We don't have privy to your DS160, but your info there might have seemed somewhat to the VO before you got there.
She was not nice a person to "dismiss" you from her presence that way. She can still refuse your application in a civil manner.
Sorry once again for the refusal. The way you talk! Sheesh! Wisdom and understanding! You, Mr Seyewest, egbon groovychik Twale o! |

Gospelozy: Visa Denied 8/11/2019. I am still trying to get over it. Consulate Office Abuja. Appointment time : 8:00am
I arrived at the embassy 5:00am. I was the only one so I stayed with the Mopol. Fast forward to some minutes pass 7. We started accreditation. I was 1 to 13 people that were interviewed, was in a high spirit, smiling all through. Then I was called in, have forgotten the window number. Vo: Elderly frowning white lady in her late 40s Me: Good morning Vo: ignored. Pass your passport. Where are you going to? Me: **** conference Vo: Have you traveled out before? Me: No. Vo: Sorry you are not eligible. Handing over my passport and blue paper Me: I have something to say. Vo: I don't wanna hear it. Next person.
My interview was approximately 4 seconds. It was like a shock as I felt like an infidel the way she asked me to leave, her treatment was so bad as if I was an outcast. She never looked at me. At least she should have allowed me to talk. Meanwhile she denied everyone she interviewed before me.
But I give God all the Glory at least I have experienced it. Wow. |

fkj950ax: Uriel12 This thread is for intending visitors to US requiring visit visa.
There is nobody here empowered to issue fiat on whether your visit visa application will be honored or not.
Due to the abuse of the visit visa system coupled with current US Govt position on immigrants, under this POTUS, there are some indicators that almost predict the outcome of an intending visit visa applicant. From my limited and myopic opinion, you don't have these indicators lined up for you, hence my opinion as expressed previously. I am not still not judging you, and wasn't earlier. While at the Nigerian Independence Parade which held in NY in October, Nigerians there told me I was stupid because I was planning to return to Nigeria after my 3 weeks was up. This is us as a people, encouraging further abuse of this same system that got those people into the USA.
Your comments, questions, footprints and 'profile' points to this As stated, this is a public anonymous forum. Your actions, your decisions. I didn't give you visa and reciprocity fees, so there is little influence I should have on your actions. And you may be part of the 1% that actual VOs use to remind NL VOs who is king. May is the operative word.
Fill your DS160, Pay your Visa Fees. Book interview on USTravel. Hold Reciprocity fees. Share your transcript. (Approved or Denied) That's what this thread is about You speak with wisdom sir. My questions were misplaced. Thank you for the correction(s), I appreciate it. |

groovychik: My advice to you as someone that has gone through that phase in life when we think we are smarter and we lie better than our elders, is to stop responding with epistles that end up putting more holes in your story. This is a faceless forum, no one knows the other. Only two people that comment here know me personally and we actually became friends from here. No one knows your "Dad's people". You do not owe any of us explanations. We have made our assumptions, you do not need to explain a million times to prove us wrong or right. As you get older, life will teach you to own things with your chest or to explain things to those who care about you and not strangers on Nairaland. If you have questions about visa process, feel free to ask, to Japa or not is between you and your people. Limit the things you post on the public sphere. VOs visit these threads and from all the plenty unnecessary information you have provided here, it will be easy to know who you are. Good luck with your studies and some day you will see all these posts and laugh. To your credit, I think you are very respectful and that's the only reason I am writing this. If my posts added to your conflict, I do apologise and I hope you learn how not to give a damn or you will spend your life explaining every action you take. Thank you sir/ma I appreciate it! |

groovychik: In my opinion, Nigerian university is not a tie. Many have left and many will still leave. Your family being in Nigeria is definitely not a tie, except they all depend on you for sustenance aka you earn hundreds of thousands monthly. Your parents as you noted were also denied at some point despite having children in Nigeria. Questions you should ask yourself is How did your Aunt travel to the US? You are young, use this period and build your travel history, Canada denied you and the excuse of having family only in the US did not stop you from trying Canada. Visit other countries, live a little and give the US embassy a break until you have solid ties. Alright sir! Thank you very much! |
