2000/2001 Camry is N1m from USA.

There's not much difference between the CE and LE

XLE mostly tend to be V6 (though some I-4 are available) and they are very scarce to come by. They also have a rear A/C outlet for people at the back. They are a little more expensive as well

Honestly, with the rate at the moment, 4.2m is nothing considering the rate of exchange.

A 2011 RX will be about $20k in the states. That is close to N5m before clearing and all. Lagos clearing is about N1.3m

Be very careful not to lose your money. Unless there is something i am missing. I am open to learn

Well understood. I want you to remember that though the RX is more refined in its drive and looks, mechanically they are basically the same car. Selling this will fetch you roughly N1.8-N2m

Buying a 2004/2005 RX will set you back around N2.5m for something of this quality. So you should be prepared to part with about N500k when all is said and done

You don't have to be confused. It depends on what u want from the car. Avalon is one of the best cars out there. Reliability is like no other but its a 6 plug engine and DOES consume more fuel than the Corolla. However, its bigger and more roomy.

If the size of the Corolla is good for you, i suggest you buy it. You cannot go wrong

I bought my 2003 sport for N1.3m in PHC, seems the price is going down now. The beautiful thing is that the car has a good second hand value. A friend is even pricing mine for N1m though I have no plans of selling, will still rock it for the next 4 years.

2003/04 Corolla is now selling N1.4-N1.45

Just to add, the 2003-2008 Corolla is a little higher off the ground compared to the 1997-2001 Camry (the popular pencils and envelopes) so if you live in a not so nice area as far as the road is concerned, you will experience less bottom scrapping the ground.

For those of you that wants a little bit off the ground clearance, you can never go wrong with 1996-2000 Toyota RAV4. Those are workhorses as well.

If you have a little bit more cash and something fancier, i suggest 2004-2005 RAV4 Models. I AM SPECIFICALLY SKIPPING 2001-2003 DUE TO SOME FACTORY DEFECT THAT CAN AFFECT THE TRANSMISSION BRAINBOX CONTROL UNIT.
