Dear Seller, Without trying to be rude, i think you are overpricing out your potential customers and it only delays everything. Not sure if you live in Ijebu Ode environs at all. But our family moved to Molipa since 1987 (very close to Yisade Hotel) Graduated from Ijebu Ode Grammer School in 1988. I am still trying to figure out how an uncompleted bungalow in Molipa will cost N20m ![]() Even along the express, the best you should pay for a plot of land should be no higher than N5m. anything else is stupid. For the sake of this discussion, lets assume the plot is on the express. And where is the justification for the rest of the N15m? for uncompleted bungalow? ![]() So if its not on the express, the land is much lower. So my question is : KILODE ![]() ?Yes, i know it NEGOTIABLE, but from where to where. Any reasonable potential client will just keep moving. And Ikangba land for N3m/plot ---- Pls don't get me started. May be you are from Lagos. Happy Sales |
2 main problems you run into Nigeria regarding diesel and cars are: 1. Most mechanics are not very familiar with them. Hence they discourage potential buyers that they are not good. As a dealer, you are in business to sell vehicle and make money as quickly /often as you can with your investment. It makes no sense to buy a vehicle that you will probably end up begging the customer before you can sell it. You will almost guarantee to take a loss on it after sitting on your lot for so long. Hence, your chance of turning a profit is slim to none. I have seen cases where people will buy a tokunbo vehicle with diesel engine only to remove the engine and replace with petrol cos roadside quack mechanic told them that diesel engines are not as good and reliable as petrol. 2. Some Petrol stations, in a bid to make more money will dilute diesel with petrol. The proper slang in the business is "rice and beans". Assume the cost of loading a 33,000 litres of diesel tanker from the depot is N140/litre. Dealer sells at the pump for about N155/litre. A 12,000 litres of petrol might cost N85/litre from the depot and sells for about N97/ litre at the pump. Rather than do that, they mix both together and sell as diesel for N155/litres, making almost additional N70/litre on the petrol. Some can mix 33,000 litres of diesel and petrol together to make 66,000 of fake diesel. That is more than N2m worth of illicit profit. Fake diesel will end up cutting down the life expectancy for your vehicle. It begins by damaging your injectors first. Being a diesel engine, they are very rugged. Problem will not be obvious immediately. How do you know where you buy fake diesel 3 months ago when your injector pump is down? Forget about the possibility of "shorting" the volume you get at the pump. If you buy 50 litres in your vehicle, you might end up with only 42 litres. There is a reason petrol stations are all over Nigeria. Nigeria can take a reason/sense out of a decision with the way business is conducted there. Ghana on the other hand has almost 60% diesel cars in the mix. Diesel engines are well embraced more that petrol and they have good mechanics there. I hope you understand. |
For the believers, no proof is needed. For the UN-believers, no proof is enough. Even Jesus Christ can testify on someones behalf, it still won't be enough. Why seek advise/opinion when you won't heed to it ![]() To each his own. |
Whatever the location is. How and why do i pay $430k for a house on barely half/quarter of a standard plot of land?. The next house over is not even finished. After 2 cars parked, you can barely have room to move around. Mediocre / Just OK finishing at best. How do i even raise a family here when my children can't even have somewhere to play around. I guess it makes sense to some people. I just refuse to be one of them. Im Out Happy Sale |
This for N95m ![]() As in $430,000 God Help Nigeria |
RoyalRoy:This is the best comment so far. When all the options available is "flawed" in one way or the other as far as the OP is concerned, it might be a reflection on the OP more than anything. There is always a advantage & disadvantage to any decision we make in life. You just choose the one with the least consequences you can live with. I don't think pre-order will be the best for you. At least i will hate to be your dealer. Sometimes when you try and get a car, there might be issues that will prevent you from making the deadline as promised (though not in all cases but it happens) so there will be hell to pay for whoever is the dealer. I will say, buy in Nigeria but take a very experienced mechanic with you. That's all you can do Good luck out there |
edward1:This is the wrong forum. However, its is better that you to passport office and declare your passport missing. Getting a new one might take longer than necessary but it wouldn't ruin your chance at the embassy. Your significant other SUPPOSED to know your date of birth Good luck |
buy another one. dont waste ur time |
odyx:Sad to hear. But expecting to pay N1.3m for E350 Benz is kind of unrealistic don't you think? Even a Grade 1 2004/05 Big Daddy does not go that cheap. God will help him bear his loss |
Might be up to 900k for Lagos cleared and clean one |
he said 100k monthly |
Ogarkor:That will be nearly impossible for that price. Even a 2007/08 Camry XLE cost that much. Not to talk of a ML350. Even a pre-order will still be about N3.5m Unless you a looking for a Nigerian Used #justsaying |
which area in ijebu ode? grew up there |
You can go ahead and get it. the engine is very similar to other Toyota Models like Hilux and Avensis. You should be able to get maintenance parts like brake pads, and oil filters without any problem. Might be somewhat difficult to get the headlight and rearlight if its broken but otherwise it should be OK You have the Toyota reliability. Go ahead |
Inception:Send me the link or the item number. My email is kunleautos(at)yahoo.com Will let you know the best way to go about it |
cosbiato:I can get you the gearbox fr N200k. However it will take about a month to reach you ad you will need to deposit about N60k and the rest upon arrival. At least you know that it came from a working vehicle kunleautos(at)yahoo.com |
ACM10:go for 3 |
So you are showing vehicles from the dealership in America claiming that they are seized by the customs? Nairaland is too smart for that. Take your 419 elsewhere |
tundechange:Both vehicles are about the same price used (600k). CRV Toks is about N1m-N1.1m while Camry should top out at about 900k toks. Petrol consumption is very close to each other. However, the height advantage of the CRV makes it better for our roads. You can get around in the not so good roads with a CRV. Camry is much lower to the ground. They are both very reliable and easily accessible parts Good luck out there |

With a little checking (rarely get request on Jaguars), the F Type model began from 2014. Vehicle was introduced at the Auto show in 2013 and became available to the public as a 2014 Model year. There is NO 2011 With that said, they are fairly newer vehicles. This one attached below is a 2014 with only about 500 miles on the clock Cost implication: Car 63,000 Trucking 500 Ship 1,000 Service Charge 1,000 ______________ $65,500 (N14,410,000) I will expect clearing on this to be between N2m - N2.5m. We can always consult with reputable clearing agents in the house for quotes I am an agent. I can pre-order this for you whenever you are ready.

Truluvguy:Samsung phones has good quality cameras Even a Galaxy S3 or S4 should be fine Good luck |
pre-order the thing. I will be surprised if someone just import it willy nilly. Too specific of a vehicle #justsaying |
ottizz:If you a shipping a container that is a different matter. You can ship a container out of Oakland port. In my opinion, both cars can fit inside one container. not sure how much personal effect you have but be mindful of shipping furniture. IF i am not mistaken, the customs still regard them as contraband. Of course, this is Nigeria, you can clear them out but you might pay thru your nose that MIGHT make it not worth it. #justbemindful |
ottizz:Unfortunately not. You will have to truck it to Jacksonville, Florida to do that. That will run you about $950 plus another $900 to ship the vehicle to Nigeria. Slightly more for a full sized vehicles like Nissan Armada / Toyota Sequoia. If the car is worth it, i will say do it. Otherwise, you might consider buying the vehicle from the east coast and save more money in trucking charges. If you need help we can certainly help you. Good luck in your search |
bebedlolo: Kashif:My apology if i come across as a bit harsh. In my experience its a bit tricky to give exactly how long something like this can last. 2 drivers with exactly same make and models of cars and no matter how identical living conditions will experience 2 different problems with their vehicles over time. Simply because the driving habits will be different. If the OP has a lot of stop and go type of traffic, it MIGHT not last as long as someone that drives mostly on the express. So giving an exact duration of how long it will last might be very inaccurate. So, since its now known that there is a problem, just enjoy the vehicle as long as you can before you can gather resources to change the gearbox back again. Once again, its not my intention to be rude to you. Regards |

bebedlolo:I am still amazed about some questions here. When the brainbox is designed/programmed differently to the actual gearbox. The speed ratio that the vehicle should change gears is different for a 4 speed and a 5 speed transmission. This is what makes the rough shifting and will lead to unnecessary and premature wear of the gearbox components and untimely failure. The designers who designed the gearbox must have a reason for doing so otherwise they wouldn't have. There is also a possibility that the petrol consumption may not be as good as it should be cos gear 5 supposed to be the overdrive. The one you have there is 4 speed. The brainbox will be confused. Sometimes people expect the right result with a wrong input or may be they just want someone else to say what they want to hear and make them feel good. The whole car is an equation. Changing a variable (gearbox) out of that equation will change the result. How else can that be more simple ![]() |
ACM10:2000 Avalon uses Dexron 3 fluid. When i am in Nigeria, the best place i can trust to get it is Oando. They usually sell for about N1,000. Not sure about the current price as of now but should be in the same range. Any Oando should have it. Make sure its Dexron III and not 2. Sometimes if you remove the gear oil gauge stick, it will be written there. Good luck |
bebedlolo:Though this question is not directed to me but i should let you know the implication of what u did. The 10pin is a 4 speed transmission while the 13pin is a 5speed. The brainbox is looking for a 13pin while its not there. All the programming will be wrong. So ina short answer, there is nothing you can do to resolve the problem. 10pin is NOT 13pin. There is a reason for that. If i owe you N13 thousand Naira and i paid you N10 thousand, i am very sure u will ask for the rest. Change back, use like that or sell the car. Good luck |
Available |
its easy to maintain. same engine as the accord. buy it don't fear Good luck |
