DissTroy: It's the ICT sector. Not agriculture. ICT has been the biggest contributor to our GDP for years now. It's not the first time I have mentioned it on this thread. I did in late 2022 and 2023. I did not long ago when debating with some older seasoned economists. They were just as surprised too. I've been aggregating since 2021 particularly. Vital information when one is crafting a pitch deck for VCs and others.
I posted exact links to several quarterly NBS reports to back up my claims. Please open several such reports for each quarter in the last two years even to compare sectoral GDP contribution.
If the Nigerian government had its priorities right, since we are a mostly service economy and haven't laid the ground work to compete advantageously on the manufacturing front, we'd fund and craft policies which enable us operate better as a service economy.
Similar to trade deals which enable India act as a gig economy for outsourcing to the West. You should see GDP boosts for India from the gig sector too. You'd be impressed. Similar to deals the Philippines has with Oceania countries like Australia and New Zealand. It's a gig economy somewhat too. The only other African country doing something close is Rwanda. And they don't even have the skilled labour like us.
One of the reasons I was excited when Osinbajo wanted to contest. That's why I had I high hopes for Minister Bosun. I hope he still delivers. These are two of the people who demonstrably understand these issues. No, its not Take it from me. I can even walk you through the calculation (You know what, I'll do it again for you). See image attached Its the same reason why i posted the link to the data. Again you need to know how these data are calculated to make these kinds of arguments

Lol I had to do a double check cos from memory, I know it isnt IT or Fintech. It actually is agriculture Think I may have mentioned it at some point to disstroy. BlueRayDick: People doing this PA/EA jobs are the real MVPs o. Sometimes I do wonder if they really have a life of their own outside their oga's life and schedule.
This job overview made me remember few years ago when I wanted to join one of the companies Aig-imoukhuede was the chairman. The last stage in the recruitment process is for you to meet Aig one-on-one, have a chat with him and in the course of the chat he will decide whether u will get hired or not. U fit don do 5 stages of interview and pass , but u won't get employed until u meet him , he sizes u up and takes the hiring decision.
The chat was scheduled for 7pm on a weekday. When I got there, I discovered there were others like me who wanted to join other companies Aig was also the chairman and meeting him was the last stage of their own recruitment process as well.
They started calling people one after the other into Aig's office around to 9 that night. It didn't get to my turn until some minutes to 10pm that night.
The man didn't even look like someone who was ready to go home when I was leaving his office after our chat.
The man had 2 EA's/PA's waiting on him whom were the ones calling candidates one after the other into his office. They had their office close to his.
For weeks after that day , I couldn't stop myself from imagining the kind of mess those guys' personal life will look like. I mean how will they have social life or a healthy family life when they are in the office with their boss as late as 10pm in the evening? I mean what time do they even get to spend with their loved ones?
I'm not surprised this particular job is offering 800k and above because that PA/EA job takes a lot from whoever is doing it, perhaps the good pay will be some kind of respite for such person sha . The answer is the bolded. Shared responsibilities, alternating timelines and rotation solves the problem. Not out of place to even have more than 2 depending on how busy the individual especially if cost isnt a problem |

GloriousGbola: so i just watched the video
there are multiple problems with his test
first is a complaint i have about most chinko/chinesium products
we dont know how long the generator is actually supposed to run on a litre of fuel
a proper generator will come with a manual thats says runtime per litre
but most products sold in nigeria are gray market and made specifically for the third world so this information is not available.
also, as NNPC has pointed out - they are getting their fuel from dangote as well
so you cannot tell if it is not the same fuel used in both cases - unless you test it in a lab.
in addition
he did not perform the tests in a scientific manner
he used the same type of bottle with no marking he used the same generator with no marking he did not show a video of the complete test run
ie ideally he should have had stickers on each bottle. stickers on each gen. a timed video from pouring the fuel to running each generator. if he was actually going for unimpeachable evidence
unless he actually has a full length video that was cut for the purpose of uploading
this video really says nothing.
you can make a video like this this is trust me bro, i no fit lie to you. Also should have swapped both generators for a second test just to validate |

LordAdam16: All of this is public knowledge.
Did she or did she not reject $80m?
Anyone who has kept tabs on Elon Musk's trajectory would know that 2008 was easily his worst year ever. SpaceX and Tesla were on their last legs. He needed NASA and Daimler to offer lifelines that saved both companies from bankruptcy.
Yet, he offered her 80m. His cut from the PayPal sale was $180m. He sunk more than $110m into Tesla and SpaceX. They were still private in 2008 so he was cash poor. Had only about $30m in the bank according to some reports.
You keep meandering to avoid accepting you are flat-out wrong.
Heck, Tallulah, his second wife, whom he divorced twice said he's the "perfect ex-husband", he still takes care of her, and she's open to marrying him a third time. Her words; not mine. She didn't have a kid for him.
Next time, do a double take of the details before pushing untrue narratives.
-Lord You no dey ever rest. No be you again. Until you sink You say he was generous with her and offered her 80m, yet she rejected it and wanted more. He was cash poor, pray tell, since when do divorce settlements involve only cash. Maybe check out the Nicole Shanahan's (you keep mentioning) divorce example while at it. You keep mentioning Tallulah but forget that she's always been an agreeable person (taking care of his 5 external kids at the time) and on both occasions it was Elon who filed for the divorce. Of course he's gonna treat her well, seeing as they have a good relationship I really shouldn't continue this argument, it's becoming tasteless and we both look like gossip girls |

Android17: I agree with this.
I don't know if Ashley revealed it because she was scorned Elon was with someone else during Valentine's day or if the press had wind of it and were going to leak it. Either ways, I wonder why it will be a scandal if the babies are IVF.
Which I doubt they are. I think EM is also kpanshing that Tiffany Fong. I suspected his moves with both Ashley and Tiffany based on his interactions with them on X.
Amebo life no good o! But of course he would have a string of harems. All of that is to be expected for a wealthy and famous man like Musk. But given that all his known kids are test tube babies, there would have to be a deliberate effort on his part, which is what I was alluding to earlier. Not like the other trap queens who get with these guys deliberately just to get knocked up |

LordAdam16: He isn't miserly in these matters.
I took issue with your assertion that Ashley would get the short end of the stick, because according to you he tried to weasel out of paying child support to his "babymamas".
There is no evidence of that.
He is not going to hand over Tesla, SpaceX, or xAI shares to every skirt that gives him a kid. But they're certainly going to be more than alright.
Justine. Grimes. Shivon. All are fine. They're all also independently accomplished. Justine an author. Grimes an artiste. Shivon a tech exec. Justine didn't even take the $80m divorce settlement he offered in 2008. Grimes custody dispute was about her moving to California with the kids for obvious personal and professional reasons after their split (Musk was the only reason she moved to Texas in the first place). Musk did not want the kids to be domiciled in California because of his painful experience with Vivian. They eventually came to an agreement. Shivon moved into the Texas estate.
You clearly have been misinformed.
-Lord Again, You dont know what you're talking about. Are you aware that there was a postnuptial agreement which the bolded violated or you think she just rejected it. Lets just agree to disagree mate |

LordAdam16: A man builds a commune for all his kids and their moms on a "you might not want it, but it's there if you change your mind", and you're talking about "not wanting to pay" or "not even remotely part of his plans".
A decade ago, his CS payments to Justine Musk was $20K per month. He has 4 BMs. Justine. Shivon. Grimes. Ashley. Grimes is the only one who started a custody dispute. A custody dispute that has since concluded. They'd been living in Texas but Grimes wanted to move residency to California for personal reasons. After the case ended, they looked for a home in California for her and two of the kids they share. X is almost always with Musk.
Your narrative that a guy worth $380B is penny pinching with his kids and BMs is hilarious. Musk started a school for his kids and kids of SpaceX employees. Ad Astra. The successor is Astra Nova. He counter filed in Texas against Grimes because he did the progressive, supportive "live and let live/different parenting styles" thing with Justine and one of the kids transitioned. Grimes make Justine seem like Mother Theresa.
Let's just say Ashley will be more than okay. Just as Justine, Grimes, and Shivon are doing okay.
-Lord This guy and his typical long verbose without substance. Where did I say or imply the bolded?, If anything, I'm clearly stating the opposite. You started by implying Elon was behaving like a typical African with plenty BM and I responded by saying No, he was only creating test tube babies just to get different iterations of himself; which is why I mentioned the IVF thing which all his (known) children are a product of. The Baby mama's as you call them are just pawns in his pronatalist plans and all that dreamy mansions and what not would only happen as a by product of his experiments not cos they cleverly planted themselves there. Also he's well known for being shrewd in these sort of matters, but of course, maybe they get lucky? who knows? |

-Lord The same baby mama's who keep accusing him of not wanting to pay child support while he keeps filing child custody petition in Texas - for obvious reasons. The guy just wants plenty kids, explains why most if not all of them were conceived through IVF, including this new one. The auditor in question already has experience in manufacturing and financial services sector and I'm inclined to think he should open up his options in the oil industry as the ceiling is much higher. I'll be contrarian and say the bolded is the better option if the person is the ambitious type and has a long term play Most finance professionals within the FSI space usually have it easier and could easily cross carpet to other industries. TT did the only thing he could which is what I recommended, play him as a striker, not what you recommended (drop Mount and play him as a 10). Lampard was already playing him as an 8. I wanted to address the Shearer points more because some of your points are flat out blasphemous.
Here is a list of strikers and coaches in his day that admitted he was better than them or their strikers:
1. Batistuta. 2. Del Piero. 3. Trezeguet. 4. Marcelo Lippi 5. Ferguson
Ferguson tried to buy him for a world record fee in 98. United won treble 99, 3 peat up to '01. There's no telling what United achieve with him.
Playing for Blackburn between 93-96 was nothing to slouch at. That was City/CFC of his day before their financial issues and his records there speak loudly.
From what I can tell, what did him in was ligament injuries that did not have the evolution of medicine today that it lacked in 97. So injuries like that could derail world class players like El Fenomeno as well.
