Have you tried searching for social media posts on Obi by Anambrians in 2011 and 2012? Are those not the same people mow following him about. The sands of time are thorough and a man is known for what he achieves not for what is said about him.

The Alli riots of the 70's were bigger than end sars and the youth supporting it far greater than obidient numbers. Have you heard of professor Alli or the phrase "Alli must go"? If you saw the man in the street today would he be lynched?

Everybody believes they are making history because they measure time by their life span. Time is far longer than that. The reason Tinubu and his men went against the cashless policy was because it was making the APC more unpopular and further damaging the party’s chances at the polls.

Again, the policy denied Tinubu the deployment of the huge stockpile of cash he would have used for vote buying across country which would have helped him have a less contentious ‘victory’.

It’s not because they didn’t know that the policy has some good side too.

You know a case whereby someone asks you for your account number. Someone you trust very well. But he/she went ahead to receive fraudulent money with it. & let’s say efcc traces the money to your account.

When they come for you, you’ll tell them a close person used your account to receive such money, and you don’t know anything about it. They’ll release you and take that close friend/trusted fellow.

That’s the same case with Tinubu.

A trusted person used his account to receive drug funds without his knowledge.

They got the person arrested and released Tinubu.
