Ojukwu could have deployed counter command at first similar to what IPOB is doing today, launch an ardent civil disobedience mechanism against the North/Western faction and move to work with the Midwest, he could have deployed gorilla tactics while tasking the RAP (Research and Production) team to produce the weapon (Ogbunigwe).

He could have needed time to get some weapons and take the war to the sea, there could have been no need to match to Lagos on land and rattling the situation of the Midwest, but what could have happened, whoever won that war, Nigeria could have won because Ojukwu was not primarily about secession but about command and control

I feel Ojukwu wanted the war over and done with quickly, same as Gowon.

Much of Anambra South actually uses 'h' instead of 'r' in many words, in their original dialects. It is the rise of Onitsha dialect as a prestige dialect and a dialect that came to stand for sophistication and advancement, that led to many communities that fell within the orbit of Onitsha re-writing and sometimes even mispronouncing words to conform with the 'Onitsha standard'.

Apart from Orizu being Ohizu in the Nnewi dialect, I have been informed by a man from Uruagu-Nnewi that the name of the quarter is actually Uhuagu when pronounced in the dialect of the Nnewi people. The nearby town of Oraeri is also pronounced Ohaehi by the older generation.

Theresa Onuora's surname is Onuora, but going by the fact that she comes from Unubi, near Nnewi in Anambra South, I won't be surprised if this is yet another example of 'Onitshanization', and it won't surprise me if the name in true Unubi dialect were Onuoha.

No really. I have listened to Igwe Orizu pronounce his name. He said 'Ohizu'. You Nnewi indigenes(espescially those sojourning in Lagos) should pay more attention to what is left of your old tongue and preserve it.

Of course it matters, a little, but still... Nnewi used to say 'Ohizu' not 'Orizu' but to be fashionable and acceptable, the biggest royal stool there helped in deadening their mother tongue.

Nothing to celebrate here, guys. Quit the clowning already, people! What is being returned is a pittance out wealth taken out. Since the 1990s we 've been going this vicious circle of never growing up and never dying, because our wealth is OUTSIDE.

Well, you may be wrong, it may not be deliberate. What if it's plain stupidity. People have shouted themselves hoarse about fostering harmonial working relationship amongst ethnic groups. Now, a caste system is not an impossibility if downward economic trajectory continues.

Nah. Why shut ur eyes tight in daylight? I'm no economist but i don't need to be one to know what is here is false equivalence. Unlike comparable countries, most of Nigeria's wealth is OUTSIDE the country. Whenever there is serious economic tumble, oversea remmittances come in to create false bouyancy. Hence, Nigeria's economy can neither grow exponentially nor crash horribly.
