I assume that you already hooked your Hughes modem to your Linksys Wrt54g Router to be recognized. Mine was ISP's DSL modem that is hooked up with my wireless Dlink router using Dlink admin. It's now time to configure the router.

  1. Open a web browser on one of your networked boxes and point it at http://192.168.1.1 This is the default IP Address for the router.

  2. Enter admin for the password then click ok. You will then be brought to the main screen for the router (see the attached file).

  3.For the WAN address you want it to obtain that automaticly unless your ISP gave you a static IP address. Then you must enter the IP addresses of your ISP's name servers in the appropriate boxes. If you don't know what they are you need to contact the ISP to get them.

  4. Then you want to select the approprite login option. If you're a cable modem use like me set this to Disable. If you're a DSL user you need to select PPPoE here and then enter your PPPoE Username and Password that Your ISP gave you in the boxes below.

  5. Set the Connect on Demand time to 0 minutes and leave the redial period as is.

That's it! Log off Linksys admin on your browser! Your router w/Hughes modem is ready to go!

What cite are you talk about? I think the wording 'cite' somehow misspelled for 'site', is that correct? I wait for your answer to my question.

I am familiarized with osCommerce installation myself. Can you tell me what happen when you something change on osCommerce that causes error picture mentioned you attached here?

Sometimes you might be missed PHP syntax or forgot close tag at the end of the page you modified for oscommerce or forgot to include required pages to upload your hosting server. That cause error.

Be sure you should also include the english.php on the includes/language folder that is MISSING. You see that the blue color stated 'includes/languages/.php' is not right file directory.

CORRECTION: 'includes/languages/english.php'

Be sure you did UPLOAD WHOLE osCommerce file exactly like this picture at below(I cannot list everything but index folder, admin folder and includes folder are MOST IMPORTANT when it comes to modification pages):

Do not leave out missing folders/PHP pages that cause your osCommerce site ERROR!

I use Flash CS3 built-in slideshow to build a Flash slideshow banner AD for my client's forum site dynamically. It loads external files with preloader: FLV, mp3, and pictures displaying on Flash slideshow banner AD.(39 files running with play-pause button inside .swf file)

PSD files will not work with GIMP unless if GIMP has its add-on plugins for PSD to make it work for GIMP. I have no idea if GIMP has add-on plugins. I strongly believe every applications including graphic, multimedia, browser has its own add-on plugins/modules.

ALL GRAPHIC SOFTWARE will work using import/export ANY jpg, gif, bmp, or png files to edit, delete, modify, whatever you are doing on images/graphic works. (PSD, PS, any application files such as SWF, FLA, DOC, XLS, PDF, will not work on ANY GRAPHIC SOFTWARE without add-on plugins/modules)

In order to get started building your own website, first thing you do is:

Do you also have FTP software installed on your computer/laptop if you don't install either Dreamweaver or FrontPage?  (not required, just option) FTP is for uploading your first html files and all images folders to your web hosting server more faster than hosting control panel's file manager (will explain next step).

4. Do you register obtaining your own trustworthy reliable web hosting server with FREE DOMAIN NAME registration? Remember you are fully responsible to pay web hosting fee either monthly, quarterly, or yearly based on your preference in order to keep your website running LIVE. Just like you pay car gas to keep your car running smoothly!

5. Once you completely paid in full obtaining your web hosting service with new domain name, they will email you FULLY INTRODUCTION: "Welcome to <hosting service company name>" including everything, hosting cpanel username/password, FTP username/password, helpline/support link, and guidelines where to get start information IMMEDIATELY. That is where you will be ready to upload your own html files and image folders (including music files, video files, flash files inside the image folders separately folders each) to your hosting server through your control panel admin. Control panel can be cPanel, Hsphere, Plesk, or other CMS depend on which hosting offers. HOLD THAT NOT YET TO START UPLOAD TO HOSTING!!!!

Keep in your mind that your Domain name will BE UP within 72 hours appears public with its BLANK WEBSITE.

6. You don't have to wait for 72 hours for your Domain name appears, that is where you get started to build your own website right from your computer. Open your html editor on your computer working on your website you want to edit, add, or delete something. Your website can be template you bought from template website. Can be SMF forum? Can be e-Commerce template? Can be start from scratch website.

7. Test your website on your computer using "http://localhost/yourfolder" on your favorite browser to see how your website looks. If you like your website looks on your computer, then save your html file. By that time 72 hours ended, your URL address (your domain name) is already UP READY TO USE.

8. Go your hosting control panel under "FILE MANAGER" icon, you will see the word "upload" after hitting "FILE MANAGER" or FTP account (i mean username/password) to upload your html file (image folder must be the same directory as your html file) where you saved originally on your computer DIRECTLY TO YOUR WEB HOSTING server. It is called remote server.

9. Finally, check out your URL address, your website is READY RUNNING live!!! (it looks the same as your computer's WAMPSERVER2)

PS, if you don't plan to build your own website, BUT WANT SMF forum or PHPBB forum or other e-Commerce installed on your web hosting from your computer's WAMPSERVER2 that you already installed those SMF/PHPBB/e-Commerce, then you need to export those SMF/PHPBB/e-Commerce (both its files and MySQL database files) from your computer to hosting in order to make it work the same looks.

Even though ALL HOSTING SERVICE has its own FREE SMF/PHPBB/e-Commerce installation UNDER THE SECTION CALLED "SERVICE/APPLICATION" to click the icon 'FANTASTICO' then on FANTASTICO windows, you will see many categories on the left side of FANTASTICO you can choose to install your hosting AUTOMATICALLY for you.

GIMP is an alternative to PS for those who cannot afford buying PS. IT IS FREE DOWNLOAD!

GIMP is used to be for LINUX operating system ONLY, now GIMP support Windows and MAC operating system. Hooray!!!!

Does not matter which graphic software you use, that is graphic designer preference to choose. NO COMPETITION, NO COMPARISON!!

There are many graphic software out there other than GIMP, PHOTOSHOP, COREL PAINT PRO SHOP, etc.

I use PS, 2nd Corel Paint ProShop, and 3rd GIMP switchable whatever I feel comfortable myself to design, create, or export/import image files each other.

I am the same boat as you are, I am single mother of nearby grown adults(actually teenagers). One at age 15 still in high school and the other 20 still in college.

I use DW with other Adobe products such as FW, FL, PSD, INDD integrating to each other much easily for me. All of them support CSS loading recognizable which integrating software you use (DW, FL, FW, PSD, or INDD)

In the past in the USA companies FORBID hiring web developers using DW/FrontPage ---prefer HARD-CODED notepad ONLY on the job .

NOW USA companies changed their minds, allowing to hire DW/FrontPage web developers. (how do i know about this? Read newspaper classified AD as well as internet job boards---everywhere i see THE BOLD TEXT EMPHASIZED saying "NO DW/FrontPage Please when you apply for web developer jobs" there)

Because the majority of web developers in the USA use DW/FrontPage MUCH HIGHER THAN notepad web developers. THE BIG-BOY companies are FRUSTRATED HARD TO FIND to hire NOTEPAD-ONLY web developers in the USA.

Before I was nominated becoming moderator on webmaster and computer boards (later graphics/video), I enjoyed reading 8 top forum gurus' postings.That's how i get involved contributing my experiences sharing to help them out.

Then i became moderator, without my knowledge, those 8 top guys (@smartsoft mentioned above) disappeared that i do not understand whatever its reason they banned. Few were accused me for deleting their postings that i was not aware of what's going on when i was not there (offline) being moderating duty. I do not know what their postings look like when it comes to accusation me being deleted. I was totally innocent. They were, still are professional web developers/programmers/designers just like me and other.

I often received from those NL members' request to unban them, I DID!!! So far i have not heard from them anymore. I missed them TERRIBLY, they were my secret admirers, lol!!!

I, as moderator myself, don't delete those free website postings, just move them to the proper section "Web Design and Hosting Advert"

Because those free website postings ARE ADVERTISEMENTS, wrong place on Webmaster section.

I do get free Flash/HTML templates without charging me the fees via google. I modified those templates with my Photoshop/Flash CS3 fitting my client's preferences/site needs.

Obviously you overlook those free templates where it display "FREE TEMPLATE" they give away few 5 free templates on their sites somewhere.
