2011: If I Can’t Improve Power In Four Years I Am Useless, Don’t Waste Your Vote on Me For Another Four – Jonathan

“Without security, there is no government. So it is not debatable, it is something we have to addressed and we are working towards that with vigour. But if I’m voted into power within the next four years, the issue of power will become a thing of the past. Four years is enough for anyone in power to make significant improvement and if I can’t improve on power within this period, it then means I cannot do anything even if I am there for the next four years.”

Before being MILITARY Head of State, he had been Governor of one of the Northern States (under Obasanjo’s Military government) as well as Minister for Petroleum. He later served as Chairman of PTF under Abacha.

He is a no-nonsense man, hence you can never see anyone accuse him of corruption..

In his time as Head of State, he did not implement Sharia law; he reduced inflation from 23% to 4%, by fiscal discipline and a homegrown economic team (not achieved under any other era, even military).

He is the only former head of state that does not own property or land in Abuja .

Despite serving in senior capacity in the oil sector, first as Minister for Petroleum and then Petroleum Trust Fund, Buhari has no petrol station, much less a rig, refinery or an oil block like so many of our leaders. He could have retired into nauseating opulence like most of his counterparts (IBB or Danjuma or even OBJ) but didn't.

He refused to collect an allowance while serving as Chairman of the PTF because he said since he was already drawing a pension from government, his conscience would not allow him to draw another salary from the purse of the same government.

His personal driver of many years is a Christian from Plateau State!

JJ Rawlings of Ghana took over 2yrs before him, and killed all the corrupt leaders, while Buhari only sentenced the corrupt leaders here to prison.

I hope this makes sense to you or is it story for the gods?

Politics10 Important Things Buhari Said During His Chatham House Speech by UTILITYMAY(op): 9:56pm On Feb 26, 2015
The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, today, February 26, gave a lecture at Chatham House in London.

Buhari spoke on the topic "Prospects for Democratic Consolidation in Africa: Nigeria's Transition."

Read ten important things he said below:

"Let me assure you that if I am elected president, the world will have no cause to worry about Nigeria as it has had to recently; that Nigeria will return to its stabilising role in West Africa."

"Change is coming to #Nigeria and it will come democratically. Multiparty democracy is best form of government."

"60% of Nigerians are youths, and most of them are unemployed. This is a problem we will tackle."

"I have heard references to me as a former dictator. I take responsibility for whatever happened under my watch."

"Anyone who wants to change Sharia has to change the constitution. Nigeria's constitution is superior."

"I'm fit, my doctors have declared me fit so I'm going back for the final onslaught on PDP."

"What foreign investors need is security. We will provide it for them."

"Two things have bloomed in the present administration: waste and corruption. On corruption, there would be no confusion as to where I stand."

"Apart from the civil war era, at no other time in our history has Nigeria been this insecure."

"But in the matter of this insurgency, our soldiers have neither received the necessary support nor the required incentives to tackle this problem. Let me assure you that if I am elected presidentÂ?we will give them adequate and modern arms and ammunition to work with; we will improve intelligence gathering and border controls to choke Boko Haram's financial and equipment channels. I, Muhammadu Buhari, will always lead from the front and return Nigeria to its leadership role in regional and international efforts to combat terrorism."

PoliticsNine PDP Governors Shun Jonathan Campaign Launch by UTILITYMAY(op): 2:45pm On Jan 07, 2015
Nine governors of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday shunned the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Organization of the party in Abuja.

The organization, headed by a former National Chairman of the party, Senator Amadu Ali, is saddled with the responsibility of selling the candidature of President Goodluck Jonathan and his deputy, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, to Nigerians for the February 14 presidential election.

But only a handful of the governors were in attendance.

Among the governors at the event were Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), James Ngilari (Adamawa), Babangida Aliyu (Niger) and Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe State).

However, governors Theodore Orji (Abia), Dr. Olusegun Mimiko(Ondo), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Martin Elechi (Enugu) were absent from the inauguration.

Also absent at the inauguration were governors Idris Wada (Kogi), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Sule Lamido (Jigawa) and Jonah Jang (Plateau).

One of our correspondents saw many of the party bigwigs discussing the development, especially when some of the absentee governors were put in charge of the campaign in their zones.

Lamido is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the presidential campaign in the North-West, Mimiko is in charge of the South-West while Orji is to head the South-East zone.

No reason was given for the absence of the governors.

However, the President later met behind closed doors with the PDP governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting, which was also attended by ministers from states where the PDP was not in charge was meant to strategize ahead of the presidential campaign.

The parley was held immediately the President and the governors returned from the Legacy House, Abuja where his campaign organization was inaugurated.

Some governors such as Chime and Elechi who were not at the PCO inauguration, also attended the meeting.

The Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum, Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, later told State House correspondents that the President had made the governors the coordinators of his campaign in their respective states.

Akpabio boasted that despite the noise from the opposition, the PDP would win at all levels.

While saying that the PDP would not rig the forthcoming elections, the governor claimed that it was the All Progressives Congress that could attempt to rig the election.

"There cannot be failure. The PDP will surely win this election at all levels. PDP does not rig. We can only be afraid that the APC, the way they are going, will be the ones that will attempt to rig us out," he said.

Meanwhile, members of the president's campaign organization led by Ali, swung into action as they held their inaugural meeting at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Whoever is chosen will still look for a way to contribute to the development of BH
You don't have a head you are thinking, your reasoning ability is far far below -100 (negative). Must you relate everything to BH. We are talking about Lagos State candidates, you are talking about them contributing to BH, moreso, these candidates are Christians because you religious bigotry minded people do say Muslims are the ones sponsoring BH. Now Christians are now part of them abi?

Go and think with your head, if you don't have reasonable comment, view and keep quiet. Shiooorr!!!

These are correct quintessential credentials of two great and powerful personalities vying for the number 1 post of our one and only state of Lagos. These are the type of people we want. Any of these two are very much ok, but preferably Akinwunmi Ambode so as to defeat anyone who will be the flag bearer of the clueless party 'PDP' due to his present popularity "Ambode" compared to Olashore. Our Dear Lagos needs continuty and not transformation.
APC gba won danu, oni ranu ni won.
Politics2015: A Must Save For Nigeria by UTILITYMAY(op):
2015: A MUST SAVE FOR NIGERIA

As a patriotic Nigerian living in the country and has contributed my own share on development. But I am a man of reason who bows to superior argument when he sees one. I am also an unappologetic nationalist. I can attest that my love for Nigeria cannot be questioned. I don't belong to any political affiliation but as someone rightly said, don't we deserve to give another party a chance given the abyss of hopelessness, unprecedented corruption and gross mismanagement this present government of fifteen years has sank Nigeria into? Let's rise above sentiments and put those who have what it takes to change Nigeria for better in the Presidency. This present government has failed totally most especially on security, it has brought our dear land to a new low in terms of security and I want to state here clearly that it does not have the ability to contain the present security challanges facing the nation, e.g.: The Chibok School Girls that was adopted and Boko Haram menace.

I will be proud to state that the present dispensation under this leadership is already out of my consideration. If the present condition continues in our dear land,I am afraid that Nigerians will be humiliated more and more inside and outside Nigeria. Our dear country Nigeria need a REAL MAN to govern the country called Nigeria, someone who is not a tribalistic jingoist with religious sentiment running through his veins. It is time WE THE YOUTHS OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY, WE THE PEOPLE OF THIS GREAT LAND TO REASON AND SAVE OUR COUNTRY FROM OLD SENTIMENTAL INCOMPETENCE degree holders without common sense from disgracing and degrading us further.

We have seen some governors that are capable and reliable. They should step out and vie for leadership because they have proven it through the developments and also security stability in their states. We need Quality Leadership, Responsibility, Accountability, Transparency, Effectiveness, Good Governance and Value Same. Let us support a Performer not a Failure in the name of "We are from this region, so that is why they are trying to fustrate us" or supports based on sentiments, because doing so will send a message that we only want power just for the sake of it and not for service.
We are not zealots who have simply sold their conscience on the platter of tribal sentiments and religion bigotry.

Those that travel with Nigerian passport knows what am talking about, but those that has not been out from Nigeria, my message to you is that we are defending this country from hostile acts towards Nigerians. Our country does not have a good image outside Nigeria and we are working hard each day to define good and bad, sheeps and goats from the same family. By the grace of God, we shall take over our country one day and restore dignity, respect, democracy and the rule of law, and more tolerant society among our great and diverse ethnicities that made up this great nation.

Let us remember the suffering of our brothers and sisters in the North Eastern part of the country, the senseless killings of our compatriots, Oh Arise Nigeria. The blood of our follow citizens cannot be in vein. It is time to know those that are Nigerians and illigal immigrants that does not wish well for us, it is time to secure our borders, preserve the rule of law. Deport those that are not needed here, sentence and execute those that cause harm to our fellow citizens, eradicate 419, money laundring, prostitution, human trafficking, bribery, ritualist, baby factory, robbery, ocultic gangs, terrorism, religious sentiments, tribalistic and reward those who put our country first.

It's time to declare
emergency in educational sector, time to reform our prisons, hospitals, roads, railways, electricity, water, innovation, job creation our police and military apparatus and so much more. As 2015 approaches,Vote wisely and do the right thing. We can no longer afford the present system in our country, change is inevitable no matter how long that it takes us to get there. We as the people must surely get to the promise land of this nation and reclaim our rightful place in the committees of nations and make Nigerians proud again.
My people, let us all remember those that died while trying to save this land. Nigeria one nation indivisible. Long live Nigeria, Viva Africa.

EducationRe: Teacher Spends N400,000 To Renovate Classroom For Pupils by UTILITYMAY(m): 9:53am On Oct 07, 2014
Look at someone that values education, most especially in the life of the indigent that couldn't afford private school. If she had done this in one of the private schools, it would have been considered as a PTA tinz. But look at the joy she brought to the life of these children. Look at an example of someone that is representing as a good ambassador Human Rights. This is the kind of person that need to be given Minister or Commissioner of Education but mba, rara ooo, they will only give it to their person who will only get there and lot the funds allocated for the purpose, God dey. If it will be possible to vote her in for such post, I will volunteer to be her campaign manager, if only she will not disappoint when she gets there; anyway I stand to be corrected.

My prayers for this woman: As you have renewed the class and the lives of these pupils, the good Lord will make things that needs to be renewed in your life new and He will make those things that are to be better,BETTER for you...you shall be celebrated in the company of great women, your impact in this world shall never be rubbed off and your footpath on the sand of life shall not be erased by the wind of times, you shall live long to eat the fruit of your labour; children and children's children. May you live long to fulfill the promises and purpose of God for your life, may you be established early in life, may you never miss track in the race of life in Jesus Name.
