TheSuperNerd:
They overran us because we easily gave the ball away constantly due to our inability to keep the ball and string passes together in a sustained manner. We didn't have the personnel in the middle alongside Iwobi for that.

Alhassan and Nwakali are built for the passing game. Highly technical on the ball and intelligent in possession plays plus they also offer enough in defensive phases.

Onyeka, on the other hand is no passing machine. He's built for destruction and tracking. He is a pressing machine with very limited passing range.

And Onyedika came in late on 85mins. What was he gonna do in the final 5mins + added time? What exactly? He is a CDM who's better on the ball than Onyeka but what exactly was gonna change in just 5mins for a kid MF making his official debut?

So yes, there was some dishonesty. Coz we both know Onyeka is a no ball-playing genius.
And Alhassan and Onyedika with Nwakali are ball playing machines. Now that's funny.

Onyeka cost us a penalty yesterday. Mahrez scored from it.

Onyeka wasn't occupying his DM Zone. Atal scored from that zone.

Defensively he had his moments and did okay. But I am meant to believe he is a gem?? Based on what Holistic Performance exactly?

In key moments of the game, He cost us. Let that sink in.
Penalty occurs.

No, he didn't cause the second goal. Uzoho 'did a punch'. You are the one being dishonest

He could also mean a midfield trio of iwobi alhassan-yusuf/nwakali and onyeka.

You didn't ask you just assumed he was talking about midfield duo of nwakali and onyeka.
Could?

You are not Mr. Elyte so you are the one with a lot of 'assumptions'. Nobody's POV is 100% accurate. Elyte is the only person in right position to throw more light so until then, stop assuming.

TheSuperNerd:
Well, your reply was dishonest then.

Nwakali and Alhassan are Upgrades on Onyeka. Man Marking and tracking players are not the only skills a midfielder should have.
There's nothing dishonest about what I said. They overran our midfield and dominated proceedings, dictated play while we are defending throughout the match with occasional counters. Even when onyedika came come, it was still same thing.

Alhassan or Nwakali would have done no better if the were on pitch yesterday with same setup.

Agreed 100% But as a man wey dey vast for football mata. Who and who do we bring in here and now to help Iwobi ministry for that MF. At least like 3 or 4. Even from championship and League one. It go help. Everytime since 7yrs since 7yrs. If my calculations are right the Nwakali was 17yrs 7 yrs ago.
He will evade the question. I have asked him many times to list of 10 midfielders and he go pretend like say he no see am.

elyte89 did not say Alhassan is an upgrade... stop putting words in his mouth...

he said "Iwobi can’t do it alone"... which means he needs other midfielders on the pitch playing alongside him...

elyte89 did not mean replacing Iwobi and the coaches themselves need to ensure none of the players get injured by subbing them off and using a lean midfield does not help If the midfielders on the pitch get injured or sent off... Ihenacho should not be used as midfielder..

Super Eagles already have at least 10 midfielders. so only the coaches know why they don't call up at least 6 or 7 of them:

Iwobi
Nwakwali
Alhassan Yusuf
Obinna Nwobodo
Ramon Azeez
Onyeka
Ndidi
Tijani
Bonke
Onyedika
He said something like " imaging Alhasan or Nwakali playing with Iwobi (instead on Onyeka)"

And I replied that they are not an upgrade

So tell me sir, how is that putting words in his mouth?

Can you give us your own list of top 10 SE midfielders

By including Nwakali continuously on this forum, the bar has dropped to the floor. A player who has done nothing in 7 years.

If he can be considered then every Nigerian player in any second tier and or back water league should also be considered. This is not irrational.

Aribo came from league One to the SE has progressed consistently and is in the EPL. Nwakali has just gone been very consistent in doing the opposite REGRESSION even with his SE call up he has gone nowhere.

Therefore it is justified to consider every Nigerian origin player playing in any low level league and or club in Europe. That includes English league one .

But we dont, instead we have a fixation with national youth players , youth football is just indicative potential it's nothing to anchor ⚓ selection upon.
So who would you like us to include in midfield department.

Teams that are in the NPFL are allowed to sell their slots to other teams outside the NPFL. I don't know what are the criteria the buying teams have to meet sha..But it happens .. In 2019, Delta force bought the slot of Kada in the NPFL, not long after that, they sold the same slot to Kwara United who had gotten relegated the season before..

Im afraid the Nigerian football league system may not allow Remo Stars to hit the heights they are capable of. Things such as poor officiating, home win syndrome, fans violence, lack of sponsorship deals and no TV view in the league are a threat... But their academy could return a lot of investment for them if they run it right..

Another club that's making impact is Vandrezzar FC.. Though unlike Remo, they don't have their own stadium yet and I don't think they have an academy too.. They should try and buy the slot of one of these NPFL clubs..
Please Dani, help me with the bolded. I no understand

So also is every Nigerian player in Europe who has played half a dozen games for Their club side.

So why should his case be given preference and prominence when he has done nothing for 7 years essentially.

What about the hundreds of players doing better and or comparable, not a word said for instance Lesley Chimuanya Ugochukwu.
Apparently, you don't follow this thread enough. You only reply to your mentions and then, move on to search your favorite keywords like Ghan--and usually do because.....

Someone like Chris, Nerd, and some others has been mentioning his name and how he's heir to Camavinga. If care is not taken and if we search deeply, we might find your comments opposing their views then.

You make a proposition that not just nonsensical but essentially a load of codswallop.

Tosin Adarabioyo is according to you is bang average, it's early days but after 7 games Fulham are 6th in the EPL. That success is partly anchored on Tosin the best CB in Fulham.

Now consider your claim, if Tosin is average what for goodness sake is Omeruo and Awaziem in comparison ❓Add to that Balogun,Ekong and Ajayi the Best CB in the world.
Sometimes, You talk a lot of unnecessary sh*ts.

Take your time, learn and practice.

Also, try www dot realpython dot com. Key keep things easy.

Bear in mind, you can't learn it all at once!

Learn the basics, understand the fundamentals and then find a library depending on what you wanna do with Python.
