The schools really have less power to initiate an embassy creation move. The country isn't big and education isn't one of their source of income. However, to open an embassy, there must be a good business that will affect their economy positively. And this has to be a motion made by their ministry of commerce. Though we are third or fourth highest population of immigrant and it seems we are the most frustrated in terms of visa acquisition. The solution on-site is to prepare how to get visa earlier before getting the admission eg. Applying fir egypt, turkey or india tourist visa even before one's interview with d schools. |

Hello, Indian embassy in Nigeria does not give visas any more for coming to study in Estonia. Please choose another embassy but not the embassy of Egypt because there is the same problem. If you have made a choice to which embassy you wish to go, please let us know. Try to figure it out as soon as possible. Sincerely, Euroacademy. Someone got the above message from Euroakadeemia, I think applicants should try another legal routes. 1 Like |

Hello all, the statement that applicants should apply for TRP is like this: sometimes, one can apply to come to Estonia with only visa and then apply for the trp on arrival. It actually didn't change anything. However, since the school ask for it, one can just put in application for both the trp and the visa. Also, to seize this medium to contribute to an issue that was raised sometimes ago about Estonia immigration reaching half way in their trp issuing. The milestone reached or the targeted number of trp set for 1500 quota per year did not include the ones given to students. It is basically for those who seek resident permit to work. Peace! 2 Likes |

At tallinn university, you might be told that the English test isn't compulsory but they won't admit you without it. A friend of mine who is studying communication management scored 6.5 and he was told to rewrite or take three unit English course. My course mate whose language of instruction was English was also asked to rewrite because she got 6.0 with 5.0 in her writing part. My roommate is an undergraduate in international relations @ TUT and he didn't write English test. Also, almost all students at euro academy didn't write the exam. If finance isn't a problem, it's better to write the test before leaving Nigeria because the price for it is 180 euros here in Eesti. Having the test certificate and good grade will give you the opportunity to seek admission from schools in Finland (no more free tuition except in vocational courses), Germany and Norway. Do not say you don't need another admission because only very few naija students wouldn't want to migrate further legitimately. hakeembee: 2 Likes |

There is job everywhere in ESTONIA, but its more in tallinn being capital city than tartu. You can get both part time and full-time jobs. Even most flexible ones @ goworkabit.com. hybeenoni: 1 Like |

It's actually isn't an understatement that open criticised racism has reduced, except when they get drunk. But whoever is coming should come with CLEAN HAND. There was and still a dark spot as regards the authenticity of people's credentials. Due to some people who falsify ENIC/NARIC certificate. This might cause delay in response to some applications and thorough scrutiny too. To those who are paying tuition, you will get menial jobs, but don't aim too high as per pay. After 6months you might break even. Go work a bit will always have ur back. 4 Likes |

Conratulations to those who have been given admission and in arrears to those who would be getting in few days time. I will like to give you guys a hint and warning about DOS and donts in the country (Estonia). It's possible the immigration people and school won't be as friendly as they used to especially to the west Africans. Some of you must have heard that a media house in Estonia revealed recently that some student from Africa were caught with fake document (ENIC/NARIC). In view of this, I will advise whoever is coming down to be smart and and free of fake certificate. Furthermore, I always reiterate it that the country isn't as poor as some people portrait it, yet not reach as Germany and Finland. When you are coming, make sure you have resources to survive for the first semester atleast, tuition inclusive if you are paying. 2 Likes |

Hello, I currently study at Tallinn University and doubt if they have business administration, perhaps it's a new program. Please make sure you get the name right. On the other hand, the they won't ask you more than what you wrote in your motivation essay for the Skype and probably why Estonia ? What is your future aspiration ? Where did you hear about Estonia ? Etc. For the test, check their website if the program has outlines. Best of luck!
Pls need help about admission at tallin university, i applied for international business administration. Apology to those who sent email request to me, I intentionally ignored them because I don't want to involve in helping people with things that has to do with money. A lesser issue of telling someone who was coming to Estonia to help with food stuff has already become a subject of controversy in some private Estonia WhatsApp group. I got info from nairaspace when I was processing mine and will always be glad to help without private conversation. To rumour carriers, please discus it openly on the thread. Everything in Estonia isn't has you thought, yet not as worst, so don't make enemy before you even get admitted. Get your facts ! 1 Like |

The question should have been what is the big deal in writing and pass the test ? The stress you will pass through for not writing the test would be more than that 50k to write it in Nigeria. If you have anyone studying international relations at tut, call the person and seek his opinion. All those test aren't a big deal if one have passed waec English excellently. Just write the test and forget about English language as a course when you get here. ophre: |

E governance is free too at tut. I got my first private apartment for less than 150euros. If you aren't Omo Mummy, you can survive with 50 euros per month. Compare to Nigeria, their cost of living is high but very low in comparism with other Baltic states. My advise is that you take it a step at a time. When I arrived I slept from house to house and glory be to Allah now. All would be fine with you all. 3 Likes |

It's advisable to do it earlier, although it depend on the school. At Tallinn University, it won't affect your admission, but they must receive it before you are given d admission letter. A friend got admitted this year but they only released his letter after getting his ielts score. bmdflo: |

To be on safe side, don't allow your visa to expire. If you are already in India and its like four days to expire, just walk into their immigration office and explain the situation, you might get extension. @ the guy talking about courier services, do not do trial, just use DHL or UPS. I used ems express during my time and I was disappointed. I later ended up using DHL and ups. It's just an advise though and there are two sides to it (acceptance/rejection). Aitah Kemilolarutty: |

Thanks @ accadolar and igwe. I know I need to apply, just explained for you to know how to guide me. I intend putting my program on hold here for a year because I have option to do it online. Then after one year in South Korea, I can now reactivate the program and complete it since its MSc. Thumbs up for you guys ! [Qquote author=acadollar post=40858272] So far you are legally residing residing in Europe, you can apply from there, location of the sponsor does not matter, what matters is having a sponsor.
|

@ accadolar, nice job you have done here. I just mailed a school in sk and they replied with all the documents that one needs to present. This is my question, I am currently in northern Europe with resident permit, can I proceed with the application and still apply for their visa when the time comes from my present country of residence? My sponsorship letter will come from naija and backed with my personal statement of account from Europe. Thanks in anticipation to your response. |

It depends on the company, but mine is minimum of 8hours and maximum of 10hours. No barrier or lomit to the number of hours you can work in Estonia. I be olori ebi o, na to dey send things home every month and no one to bug. For the doc to send for visa, you guys should just go and read July thread, it contained all the docs list. kenlouis: 1 Like |

It might even be up to three months, depending on who is handling your documents. The problem is that must of our people are suffering from what we librarians called information explosion syndrome. They will gather info from Sobastical, Ophre, James, Uzhi and as such won't know which one to use at the end. A lady is languishing in that terrific situation now and her faith of getting the permit is so slim. That's why I always advise people to follow the advise on the thread. As at yesterday, she is yet to get her trp. She used a statement of account whose surname doesn't tally with her own. sobastical: |

You will definitely get a job. Am working and schooling. But the money isn't much as their cleaning jobs start from 2.80 per hour and other forms of jobs from 3.50 to 4.0 per hour. It's lower than what they pay in Finland and Germany, that's why some people are condemning Estonia . If your purpose is to study and continue your journey henceforth to one of the big schengen states, it worth trying. But be legitimate when you are here. I thought people who have issues with applying or processing visa will come online, but since they are OK let me keep my pen. Georgia as a port of entry is not an option again. Aitah! 3 Likes |

Coming to Estonia: things you need to know. Estonia isn't a big country, but beautiful with alot of tourist centres Estonians don't talk to strangers unnecessarily, but of you initiate discussion, they will respond. Averagely, they speak English but not to the level of your imagination. There is probability of being racially attack, but not really much. You can handle it by being focus. Beware of drunked Russians ! It's a mind your own business country. Often time, you can hear a question like where are you from ? And go back to your country. Majorly from Russians. 3 Likes |

Hello at all, sponsorship is actually important from experience. But it isn't an issue, because there will always be a way when you all get to that bridge. I promised to write a comprehensive lines in December due to my busy schedule, but realised that some people have been admitted into euro academy and December might be too late, so I will do it tomorrow. In addition, if anyone have any knotty problem as regards application or Estonia visa, I would be online for an hour tomorrow and promised to answer to the best of my knowledge. You can all come online by 12pm naija time. I intend to do this in order to reduce the number of private questions which doesn't benefit other nairalanders. hakeembee: 2 Likes |

Hello V O, I applied for visa at the embassy in Abuja last year February and got denied, the reason as she told me was that I didn't have the basic requirements to enter united state of America. My mission was to attend a training and I was working with the state government then and also married with a child. After the denial, I have traveled to south Africa and now based in Europe with resident permit as a student. My question is, with my change of status, can I reapply now ? Thanks for your response. |
