i will use something i got from John Grisham's book, 'A time to kill. For those advocating for the woman to leave this man,i would suggest this. Close your eyes and then Imagine this scenario but with the other way round. i.e The woman needing a kidney.would you suggest that the Man divorce her? LillyVal: My cousin who got married this year July is actually thinking of leaving the marriage because the husband was diagnosed of Kidney failure and needs a transplant. The summary of the story is that the family of the man is expecting the newly married wife to donate one of her kidney to the man because my cousin is biological match to the husband, she and her family has said LAI LIA O, that his their child and they should find a way to go about it. After dragging this issues for some months na, my cousin family are pushing her to file for a divorce
a. would it be considered wickedness on her part considering, his not only the husband but PARTLY trained her in school too?
The marriage is less than a year no much money to even look for a seller, Aunty want to japa and leave the man
What do you think? |

Good one adeakin777: Dear ChasteGhuy,
If you had noticed in the past, despite several mentions by you, i had never ennobled you with a response. But let me gratify you this once. I would start by saying, i wonder what your daily rituals are like, i can see you are quite effervescent about this thread. Your comments are rife and you always seem to quote anyone(Literally) with a response, as i expect you would this comment. Perhaps your daily ritual is spending all day on this platform, this thread maybe, posting and responding to every comment. That's fine, so long as it sticks within the confines of the thread. But then again, unlike others, who may also have a lot of free time as you do, they do apply moderation and those who don't, as was ubiquitous in the past couple of days are smart enough not to unveil their identity. I can't say the same for you, the Isoko brother who awaits APL. Not so very smart a move, i must add. That being said, i'd just summarize this with some rhetorical questions, ask yourself; Do i need to reply everyone's comment? Do i feel less of a man if i don't post? Would my Data be a waste if i don't post? of my over 1500 comments on this thread, have i been of assistance for posterity sake? Do i need to show everyone i am jobless or less engaged? Do i need to reply this comment? You may find what you need when you genuinely answer these questions.
One more thing, in a bid to expeditiously respond to comments, a perusal of your postulates for the second and maybe third time may not hurt, so that at least people would think you are smart. You may want to refer to the bold phrase on the aforementioned quote.
P:S - I rarely reply to a comment more than once, so subsequent mention on this would not get a reply.
Cheers. |

FYI,see below https://www.linkedin.com/in/brigettehyacinth/recent-activity/pflourish: I saw this same post on LinkedIn some minutes ago and you posted it here without giving due credit to the author.
One may say this is a faceless forum but habits as such is mostly a reflection of one's character in their real life. From the calibre of people here, It is expected that everyone most have graduate from a reputable institution either within or outside the shore of the country.
It is sad that an individual here could give room for emphasizes to be laid on the importance of shunning plagiarism. I wouldn't know if it on the basis of the likes or shares you thought that could fetch you or genuinely out of disseminating an information you consider vital for the public consumption. Even if it was done out of the zeal to motivate your counterparts, it was still a careless mistake on your path and the next time you are going to be copying and pasting, please do let citation follows |
Education › Re: Can I Do Masters With A 3rd Class Degree In Europe (USA)? by uzoexcel(m): 11:32am On Aug 14, 2019 |
I think you should do an introspective evaluation of yourself first of all. And be sincere to yourself too. What resorted to you getting a 3rd class? Did you have issues with the course of study? was it too 'advanced' or too technical for you? or were their external factors? Unseriousnes, 'wicked' lecturers, missing paper issues etc. I say this because if you had 'academic' issues coping at undergrad level with this course, it will probably not get easier at masters level. And if despite the issues you are still passionate about pursuing this course at Masters level, then try and do one of two things. Firstly, look towards IT Management. The technical/computation aspect is usually toned down with IT Management courses but you may need to have work experience and/or certifications. Secondly, dont apply to an ivy league or top 10/20 school in the USA as i dont think you would cope. Secondly as other people have opined, you need to be able to do basic research on your own. How far have you gone in checking out info on universities in the USA. Everything is on the internet now you know. hebenezher: Thank you bro. I have actually done a lot of researches, but I still thought coming on nairaland and relating to the closest individuals will go a long way. I have gone through those links too, but I can't get the specific info. as all I could come across there were only visa processing which is far from my question. after all, I needed to know if there are Universities over there that offers 3rd class degrees master before processing for my visa, and with few researches I learnt GRE is the route but I still need to know if 3rd class also could do GRE. please if you can help me with more info. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, help a brother |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by uzoexcel(m): 6:56am On Aug 14, 2019 |
on point!!!!! gwighalo: I left the UK a couple of years ago having completed an MSc degree, top of my class. I felt quite devastated that I would return to Nigeria not having enough time to apply for jobs. While some of us were busy sorting it out in libraries, a couple of guys were resign to accepting whatever the outcome of studies, and were busy applying for jobs like mad.
I started a good buying and selling hustle, and was able to secure a job with an E&P coy 15 months after returning. I have had funded opportunities to pursue PhD since then but I have declined because they were geared towards addressing problems in Europe. I soon realized that returning back isn’t a death sentence after all. And if I must pursue a PhD or other degrees, it should be one that would solve one or some of the numerous challenges here in Nigeria. Novel solutions including strong regulations that would address issues like waste management problem; how we can all enjoy a clean and healthy environment.
It’s a big shame that the issue of banditry is a mockery because we still adopt archaic approach; that’s why the faceless guys could hit easily and run to the depth of our forest, causing ‘Sevia pains.’ I have imagined the design and implementation of a long range motion detector that could span several kilometers, deploying radar systems/radio wave/etc with several base stations, with high resolution smart cameras with IP addresses and facial recognition. Something that would watch the nooks and crannies of our forest—so much prospects from such projects.
Also, it would shock you to know how some of the major players in our O&G industry are milking us dry due to poor hydrocarbon accounting/non declaration of actual crude produced on daily basis. If one must think of an approach for this country, one must factor-in policies. Non effective policies/no policy at all, and terrible culture are the major problems affecting our country.
I think it’s necessary for one to study this country deeply and decide on an issue to address before thinking of further studies.
I am happy that I came back because I have gone ahead to solving massive massive problems for my family and friends; things that wouldn’t have been easy for me to do if I had remain abroad. The best one could get as entry ( often, your experience in naija dont count) in the UK is about 28k pounds to 36k pounds/annum for high paying jobs ( Jaguar Land Rover, British Petroleum, etc). That comes down to about 25/33k after tax. Factor-in other expenses, then you are very average and basically a backpacker if you reside anywhere near London( London Burroughs, Reading, Cambridge, etc) as accomodation can be very expensive.
Also, anything can happen. An employer may discontinue sponsoring your work permit, it may be difficult to find another. You may become desperate and opt for a lower paying job if you are lucky enough to find one in-time before expiration of your visa. This is applicable in the US and other countries as well.
A Job with NNPC isn’t bad at all if it will still amount to finding a job after earning a foreign degree. You can be on the job and pursue a masters degree, on the side, if you are so keen about it. One will have lot of flexibility working in an organization like NNPC. You will learn a lot including the politics in our energy sector, and if you are observant and smart enough, you will find lot of issues to address. You can then come up with a framework/solution and think of how to implement it by pursuing further degree or by other means.
One shouldn’t go do a masters/PhD just for the prospects of better jobs or living best live abroad—you may succeed or fail at that, and you would’ve missed the point. You will derive satisfaction knowing that you addressed a problem spot-on or that you tried your best in an attempt.
Lastly, I know a couple of guys who came from the UK and US for this interview, and are praying they get APL. My two cents |

Sports › Re: I'm Scared Real Madrid May Not Be Able To Afford Me- Pogba by uzoexcel(m): 10:12am On Aug 04, 2019 |
if only we had Ander Herrera Wallade: Yes, I agree with you on Pogba becoming a risk and under-performer soon in Man Utd hence, having him shield the defence may be a mistake but a good look at the team members shows he is the most suitable man for that job.
It suits his style, he likes to hold onto to the ball and do some spectacular passes over the heads into the attack zone and also on the ground passes.
McTominay is a special talent for me, Mourinho made no mistake about him. He is another guy that can grow into that role. He is exhibiting the ability already.
Andreas Pariera can only be creative in the midfield, he can never be a good defensive midfielder. If we risk him in that role, he will pick up so many yellow cards and possibly reds; he will make disasterous blunders.
Unfortunately, we have to wait till next window transfer to shop for a reliable Defensive Midfielder. |

Swiftlee: I don't want to know what you think but this is pride! I have always seen this guy as a proud player. We have many players who are far and way better than Pogba yet humble. Pogba is over hyped! i wish he would just go..my only annoyance is that we didn't retain Ander Herrera.now that's one player who was willing to bleed for the shirt |
