madame, nairaland s the worse place to seek this kind of advice...its filled with unbiblical pretentious hypocrites Kitanayo: I will start from the beginning so that i will be better understood, soo sorry if it is too long
I and my husband met in one of our ICAN classes so we hit it off immediately, became friends, dated then got married. It was blissful, we had our kids, to me life was perfect till one day he changed.
He started picking fights on irrelevant things, wouldnt talk to me for days, i thought it was just a phase until one day he didnt come back home, after so much calls to family members, friends collegues at work, we found out he left the country with another woman, this was 4 years ago, we later found out he paid for the house rent for two years and he vowed never to have anything to do with me and my kids anymore.
Even after pleadings from family members he still refused so i moved on, believing that one day he would come back to me because i believe his actions was not normal, he asked for divorce, i refused cos my bible is against it (luke 16:18). Since then God has been soo good to me, i've moved into my own home(a working mom) and God has been taking care of my kids for me.
Now 2 years ago, i met this lady who was serving(nysc), i see her as my younger sister so we talk alot, so she knows all about me, she helps me at home, with my kids and all.
One day we were talking about sex generally, so she said she can satisfy my urge, i was shocked, i dont want to go into details but that was how it started.
Mind you i do not insert anything into my "VJ", what she does is the normal licking and sucking till i "CUM" she's in a serious relationship with a man so i do not do same act to her and she doesnt ask for anything in return(from a wealthy home).I dont see myself as a lesbian since i dont indulge in it moreso i still love my husband.
I agreed to it because it's safer than having sex and contacting std in the process, i am human, i have needs and i dont want to commit adultery cos i'm still married and i believe my husband would come back to me, i feel no guilt whatsoever for this act.
Reason why i brought this here is to know your views about this act, i want to have diff. opinions from matured minds so no insults please, thank you.

good one Samleen: Good but
to every presidential aspirant, here is our requirement checklist if you actually want us to cast our votes for you in the coming 2019 election.
We don't care about what political party you belong to anymore -whether old party or new party, popular or unpopular; we don't care about what religion anymore; we don't care about what tribe or region anymore but You
1. Must attend not less than 3 presidential debates: how do we know you're mentally stable and not a slowpoke if you cannot give reasonable responses to simple debate questioning?
2. Must undergo medical qualification tests: both the psychiatricals and others. The result must be verified by a notable medical panel and must be made availale to the general public. People do medical tests even for secondary school admission, so why not for presidency aspiration.
3. Must have of governing plan (just like a business plan or a master plan) and make it available to the general public through the all the social media channels. Bank cannot commit their cash to people without a good business plan with clearly written goals and objectives, figures, strategies and a guarantor, so how much more should we commit the life, future and properties of more than 150millions Nigerians to you without a plan. In the plan must also be indicated your personer track records of successes.
4. Must have more than secondary school education. (There's nothing new about this)
5. Must have at least one of your children educated in a public university in Nigeria (not private): by this we will surely know that you believe in the future of Nigeria and that you will work towards her betterment. This is a price not too much to pay if you realy love us. We are tired of insensitivity of government towards the development of standards of educational setup in Nigeria, the strikes and industrial actions.
6. Must be a patronage of Nigerian made products and services and you must believe in capacity building of Nigerian indigenous businesses to provide exportable products and services to neighbouring countries, Africa and the world at large.
7. Must be wide reader and self development enthusiast: If you don't constantly feed your mind with transformative, educative and informative ideas through books, you don't have a business doing with presidency in Nigeria. We are tired of archaic approaches to human governing. We need mordern, liberated and future oriented leaders to lead us in Nigeria, not power mongers, who just want to be in government for power, fame and monetary gain.
8. Must be within the working age range (younger than 60 years): "what's good for the goose is good for the gander". Towards old age, people become less and less physically, socially, mentally and psychologically fit to cope with occupational demands, not to talk of rulling a nation of more than150million citizens, so retirement is compulsory. The retirement age in Nigeria civil service guided by decree No. 102 of 1979 that dealt with pension and gratuity pegged the statutory age of retirement for public officers at 60 years, while it is 65 years for judiciary officers and 70 for academic staff of universities. However with reform of civil service decree No. 43 of 1988, retirement age has been put at 60 years or 35 years in service.
9. Must have no public record of hate speech, tribalism, nepotism, crime against humanity, pending corruption charges or history, and or affiliation with any millitant group or religion fundamentalist group or terrorist group : We will never ever think again that people will change. Ascenssion to power only gives people the chance to express their true self.
10. Must have done something contributary to the development of your immediate environment: this is simple, is'nt it?
11. Must be well educated about the constitution of Nigeria. We are tired of reminding the government what to do and what's not to do. We are tired of reminding the government about what's in the costitution they swear to uphold. This is 21st century. The INEC in collaoration with the National Assembly and the Judiciary Counsel of Nigeria should create an online platform where common citizen can get proper education about the Nigerian constitution. They should maku use of shot animated videos and other training material. Certificates should also be awarded. |

@op did u call a plumber for ur toilets? Emmanystone: Brother, you are a chosen vessel thats why you didn't just fall into satanism hook line and sinker. There's light around you, that's why satan is trying to frustrate you. If there was nothing good in you, he wouldn't fight. It now depends on your Will Power. What do you want?/
The Bible says, To whom (God or satan)/you yield yourself to, you become servant to.obey them. Decide what you want first. Deliverance begins with you Willingly determining where to stand. At least God has been gracious to show you that anytime you draw closer to him these phenominones changes, few have this grace.
Now, the Bible says, With a heart we believe, and with our mouth confession is made unto salvation. What this means is that, if you believe in your heart and dont speak it out loud, you won't see your salvation.
So, whatever you don't want to see, command it to go away in the name of Jesus.
Begin with this. Walk to your toilet now if you are at home and speak to it.
Say this, 'Toilet, i know you are an inanimate object, but i also know that my God is the God of all creation inanimates included'. You are made for me to use afterwards flush you down. I know nothing is wrong with you, so, from this moment, i will flush you and you will flush in Jesus name. Amen.
Flush it it and leave, it may not automatically flush at that moment, keep doing it, and you'll see what will happen. But, if you do it doubting if it will happen, then forget it, it wouldn't.
I will send you a PM, pls respond. |
Islam › Re: Position Of The Law On The Use Of Hijab/Veil In Public Institutions- O.G Chukkol by uzoexcel(m): 11:57am On Dec 15, 2017 |
Good analysis.i still believe though that the law of the state shoukd supersede any religious law in that same state...as you quoted, 'the nigerian constitution should be the ground norm' seguntijan: BY _O. G. CHUKKOL._
One of the challenges Muslim females are facing is the wearing of hijab. Hijab is a veil they use in covering their body. These challenges are found even in public institutions. The proscription of the use of veils is normally done through rules made in those institutions.
For example there has been complaint that hijab is not allowed in Nigerian Law School, it happened also in Kwara, Lagos, Osun State etc where students were not allowed to wear hijab to schools.
This article seeks to establish that prohibiting Muslim females from wearing veils in public institutions is unconstitutional. Whether the position is the same in private institutions or not is outside the scope of this article.
To clear a preliminary point, I am a Christian and shall by the grace of God die a Christian. This work is based on my little understanding of the law and love for rule of law. The work is also informed by my agreement with the words of Martin Luther King Jr. who once said:
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
In other words, it is Muslim female facing it today, tomorrow it may be Christians. So, I feel spade should be called a spade.
Let us first examine the basis of the use of hijab by Muslim women. Chapter 24 verse 30-31 of the Glorious Holy Qur'an says:
“... Enjoin believing women to COVER THEIR GAZE and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that THEY SHOULD DRAW THEIR VEILS OVER THEIR BOSOMS AND NOT DISPLAY THEIR BEAUTY except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband’s father, their sons, their husband’s Sons, their brothers or their brother’s Sons or their sisters’ sons or other women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, ..."
It follows from the verse above that wearing of hijab by Muslim women is a Quranic injunction so a Muslim female is bound to obey it without question.
The next point is whether a Muslim female can capitalize on the provision of Glorious Qur’an to insist that she is entitled to wear Hijab everywhere. The answer is obviously in the affirmative. Subsection (1) of section 38 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (2011 as amended), it provides as follows:
"Every person shall be entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion...and IN PUBLIC or IN PRIVATE) to MANIFEST AND PROPAGATE his RELIGION or BELIEF in worship, teaching, PRACTICE and OBSERVANCE" (emphasis mine)
The constitution is a ground norm and by section 1(1) & (3) thereof, it is Supreme and binding on all authorities and persons in Nigeria and as well above the ordinary laws of the land. Since the constitution recognizes ones right to manifest ones religion and belief in practice and observance, a Muslim female, being a Nigerian too, has the right to wear her hijab anywhere.
In the case of PDP V CPC (2011) 17 NWLR (pt 1277) 485 at 511 it was held;
_“The Constitution of Nigeria is the grundnorm, otherwise known as the basic norm from which all the other laws of the society derive their validity. Each legal norm of the Society derives its validity from basic norm. Any other law that is in conflict with the provision of the Constitution must give way or abate”._
Courts have consistently held that, having regards to chapter 24:30-31 of the Holy Quran, a Muslim female has the unfettered right to wear her hijab anywhere.
The Court of Appeal Ilorin Division in the Unreported case of *THE PROVOST, KWARA STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ILORIN & 2 ORS VS BASHIRAT SALIU & 2 ORS Appeal No CA/IL/49/2006, delivered on the 18th day of June, 2009, per Hussein Mukhtar, JCA,held at page 15 – 16 of the lead judgement thus:
“The foregoing verses of the Glorious Qur’an and Hadiths have left no room for doubt on the Islamic Injunction on women’s mode of dress, which is clearly in conformity with not only the Respondent’s veiled dress but also the controversial article J of the 3rd Applicants’ dress code. The use of veil by the respondents, therefore qualifies as a fundamental right under Section 38 (1) of the Constitution”.
The Court of Appeal further held per Massoud AbdulRahman Oredola, JCA at page 2 of the concurrent judgement;
“The right of the Respondents to wear their Hijab, veil within the School campus and INDEED ANYWHERE else is adequately protected under our laws. Human rights recognizes and protects religious rights. Section 38 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria guaranteed freedom of religion to all and sundry. Thus things that lawfully constitute OPEN MANIFESTATION, PROPAGATION, WORSHIP, TEACHING, PRACTICE AND OBSERVANCE of the said religion are equally and by extension similarly guaranteed and protected by the Constitution. Indeed the Hijab, Niqab or Burqa, being part and parcel of Islamic code of dressing and by whatever standard a dignified or vividly decent one cannot be taken away by any other law other than the Constitution”
Just last year, 2016, Justice Falola of the Osun State High Court restated the law as pronounced in the Court of Appeal decision above while delivering judgement in the case of Sheikh Oyinwola & Ors V The Governor of Osun state & Ors SUIT NO. HOS/M.17/2013 delivered on the 3rd of June, 2016. Bound by the time honoured principle of Judicial Precedent, the court held that the use of Islamically prescribed head cover called Hijab by the Muslim Female Students in all Primary and Secondary Schools in Osun State forms part of their fundamental rights to freedom of religion, conscience and thought as contained in Section 38 of 1999 Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and also declared that Article 8.2(v) of the “Guidelines on Administration and Discipline in Osun State Public Schools“ issued by the Ministry of Education prohibiting Muslim females from wearing hijab in public schools is not only discriminatory against Muslim female students but also uncalled for, inconsistent with Section 38 of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a clear violation of the fundamental rights of Muslim female students in Public Schools in Osun State to freedom of religion and therefore null, void and of no effect whatsoever.
A month after, A specially constituted panel of the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos on Thursday, July 21, 2016 unanimously reaffirmed its decision delivered in 2009 at Ilorin, Kwara state Division. It reversed the judgment of a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja which on October 17, 2014 banned the use of hijab in Lagos State public primary and secondary schools. The appellate declared in a unanimous judgment on Thursday that the ban was discriminatory against Muslim pupils in the state. It accordingly reinstated the use of hijab in Lagos schools.
This writer is not unaware that section 38 of the constitution (right to religion) is not absolute. The right is subject to section 45 of the constitution which gives government the right to disregard citizen's right to religion in the interest of defence, public safety, public order, public morality or public health; or for the purpose of protecting the rights and freedom of other persons. For instance during the Bokoharam insurgency in the North East, government was right when it temporarily banned the use hijab because then some suicide bombers hid bombs therein.
Another example is the fact that every person has the right on religious ground (say Jehovah Witness sect refusal of blood transfusion) not to submit to treatment recommended by a doctor even if the refusal of treatment can lead to the death of the patient. However for the purpose of public interest, and relying on the authority of the Supreme Court decision in M.D.P.D.T. v. Okonkwo (2001) 6 NWLR (Pt.710), such right would be held in abeyance if the disease, like Ebola and the like, is contagious.
In the light of what has so far been stated and in the absence of any exceptional circumstance as the ones mentioned above, every Muslim female has the unfettered right to wear her hijab anywhere. Prohibition of wearing of hijab in some public institutions is unconstitutional. The institutions concerned are hereby advised to reverse those rules.
