thanks for ur response and i appreciate ur frank but polite reply.i appreciated her in highlighting other well thinking and industrious individuals.

actually i make this particular comment in other threads also when this kind of pics r displayed....i v kinda seen the level of development in more advanced country and it only pains me when we put up snapshots of roads and bridges as a sign that the government is working...You and i know that with the level of funds available, the citizenry deserve so mmuch more than just this....hence my anger
regards
prophetone: I get your point but she was only contributing to the thread, which is commendable regardless. The intention is to highlight industry and not necessarily infrastructural development, which is no less worthy of celebration in its own right.

nice pics u v been puttn up but unfortunately u shot urself in the foot.we are so used to mediocrity that we put up pics of bridges and roads as a sign of development...granted it is but u shouldnt put these up..Its your right as A nigerian...The money has always been there...no other developed country talks about good roads and all because it should be built and placed there by those in power by default.

anonimi: My dear, the objective measure will be what RATIO of Americans are destitute compared to those who are not.
What is the same ratio in northern Nigeria huh

Of course ther are some northerners who are also in the education sector but what is there ratio to the population of the North? And how has that affected the COMPARATIVELY low cut-off mark for northerners in national exams as posted earlier huh
As I said there are always INDIVIDUAL stars in each society, what is more important is to have MANY stars in the society such that the whole community/group/society/nation is BRIGHTENED by the CRITICAL MASS of these shiny elements.

Techwriter: HOW CHRISTIANS CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE DEADLY EBOLA
In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus described the signs that would be observed by the last generation (that generation who would witness these "end times" events), leading into the Tribulation and the subsequent Second Coming of Christ Jesus. One of these signs given was the emergence of "pestilence" or, known today as infectious disease.

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

A pestilence is a disease for which there is no cure. When God judges a nation, one of the results are diseases from which there is no cure.
Deuteronomy 28:27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

During the last two decades alone, according to the World Health Organization, approximately 30 new diseases have been recognized by the scientific community (read here). Additionally, in 1996, infectious disease accounted for about 1/3 of the 52 million deaths that year. Because of global travel, genetic mutations (bacterial and viral), refugees, congested urban areas world-wide, and various "population shifts", even those infectious diseases once thought under control are reemerging, and appearing with complete resistence to therapy.

The plagues of Egypt provide clues
The same way the ten plagues came with pestilences and natural disasters upon the Egyptians before the Israelites left Egypt is the same way Pestilences and natural disaster will precede our departure from earth (rapture). Miraculously, the Israelites were shielded from all the evil that came on the Egyptians. So we can use that incident to know how to be exempted from Ebola and other End time disasters

To build up your immune system, these are my recommendations to start with.
. 1. Build your faith One of our greatest weapons against Ebola is faith and fear is the enemy of faith. The victory we can use to overcome the world and all its diseases is faith. The Bible refers to faith as a shield. Don’t join unbelievers to spread fear and panic. Fear creates an avenues for the devil to operate
Deuteronomy 28:60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.\

2. Confess the Word: Psalm 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

3. Take Communion: The communion signifies and solidifies our covenant with Jesus Christ. In that covenant, there is divine protection and a promise of longevity

4. Plead the Blood of Jesus: In those days, they were asked to use the blood of the lamb and while all the first born of Egypt died they were all under cover(by the blood). In our time the Blood of Jesus is a surebanker, plead it over your life and that of your family always

5. Use the Name of Jesus: At the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee(including ebola) must bow.

6. Live healthy: there are laws of health and hygiene we must encourage within the Body of Christ. Even after God signed covenant with the Israelites, He still gave them laws on diet, hygiene, etc. There were even certain meats they were not permitted to eat and laws on how neat there environment should be. So don't tempt your maker by living carelessly but on the other hand, don't live like the world who only believe in health laws-dont shake people, wash your hands always, dont eat bush meat etc. We have the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus and it sets us FREE from the law of sin and DEATH
I also suggest that, by faith, you come under God’s Health System and out from under the world’s system. There are times we need help from the modern medical system. But, we do not trust this system but we live in God’s Health System.

More importantly, remember that Jesus will soon fulfill the prophecies given in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4. He will come to "gather up" or "catch up" His followers before the Tribulation begins. The final stages of birthing, (aka "Tribulation"wink are rapidly approaching. Every sign that we have been given, is not only present today, but all signs are progressing rapidly in both magnitude and frequency.

If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you have a great opportunity to do so NOW. Moreso, if you are a believer....LIVE READY

CultureRe: Did West Africans Develop Cast Iron In Pre-colonial Times? by uzoexcel(m): 10:31am On Aug 04, 2014
what are u smoking??it seems strong...imma need some of that grin grin grin grin grin
Chinaimporter: If by west african,u mean indigineous ones like ijaw..non but if you mean migrant ones like the igbos the yes.cast iron was discovered by the igbos around 2500bc .The true origin of the igbos lies in the sumerian city of ur near the site on ancient babylonia.the igbos establist the ubaid dynasty headed by the great igbo king meshanepada who built a ziggurat in honor of the great god nnanna(also called nanna in sumerian and sin in akkadian) who asked the igbos to migrate to other part of the world to spread civilization in the then young world. Igbos then invented the first alphabet called the cuneiform and left babylon under an igbo family called the Akadians who where the ancestors of modern arabs,Ethiopians and jews through a former sheperd of igbo orign called abraham.
The igbos then migrated to perisia which they civilized and gave her first royal dynasty and their god called Ahura mazda(i hi ura mu aza gi meaning he who answers me in my sleep)
From there they went to ancient egypt where they civilized and gave her first pyramids and also sent a delegation th civilized the barbarians in the north called the greeks.it should be noted that some of the greatest greek men where igbos eg aristotle(erie asi tolu uto), pythagoras(bia ta ara) achilles( aku ili) etc.
The igbos also enslaved the isrealites in both babylonia and Egypt and after they got tired of the city life they migrated to eastern nigeria while civilizing the Nubians, yorubas, fulanis etc on there way.it should be noted that oduduwa and bayegida were all igbos in oduduwa case yoruba legend holds that he is a fair man from the east. The igos are not desended from jews or egyptians rather thses people are all desended from the igbos and and unbiased historical evaluation would prove that

Joshthefirst: to my answer you'll ask another irrelevant question to serve as a yardstick for your rebellion.

It doesn't matter where you're born. If you hear the gospel and reject it, you stand condemned.

The gospel is being preached in China too. Some hear this message and accept it. Others continue in rebellion.

Your place of birth is irrelevant when the message reaches your ears. Your reaction to the message is paramount. And your answer is up to you, not your geographical location.

The gospel is being preached. Those who accept it and repent from their wrong doing are saved, those who reject it because of the love of wrongdoing will pay for their wrongdoing in full. The wages of sin is death.

LordReed: All through history religion and education have many times been at logger heads but in this day and age with technology breaking all the traditional borders religion is very much less of a hindrance. If any religion still poses a hindrance to education it is usually in places where access to information is limited.

just a question?if u were born a chinese? wat would be ur position on this? then what judgement would be passed on the billions of atheists chinese/asians?
Joshthefirst: Lol.

Which kind of tests would you carry out on God? A spiritual being?

And yes. You'd still have problems. You'd still doubt.

Many true prophets have come and gone also. They've worked signs and preached repentance yet you don't believe.

They're even around now. Yet you choose not to listen and you choose to doubt their message inspite of the miracles happening right next door.

Jesus also came. He came as our kinsman. But he was not just a man. He was God. Yes. God has actually come to confirm his word before. He came once. Be broke into our realm and was born among us. People saw him do God-things and bore witness. But men like you still doubted.

Others believed though. And it was written down so you'd believe also. Men still come around and preach, and God still confirms his word. But men like you still doubt and throw tantrums of rebellion, thinking they're smart.

God came the first time to save. The next time he'll come in all his glory to judge.

MrPresident1: This debate has been flogged and over-flogged. I do not want to be drawn into any more enervating arguments that would do no one any good. It is apparently clear that the Almighty God has blinded not a few people.

The hate is biblical. The Negro/black-race (not everyone who is dark-skinned is Israel) is the most superior race on earth; genetically, intellectually, spiritually etc but yet occupies the bottom rung of every social ladder around the world, he is despised and mistreated by every other race.

Basically, the so-called black-man doesn't know who he is; no sense of history or origin or achievements. The world prefers it this way, it helps to manage him better.

They must hate him for his potential, and capacity. The hate is orchestrated by The Almighty God Himself!

Time will prove which of us discerned better, and I assure you it wouldn't be long.

if he did that, i wouldnt v a problem..though we would have to subject him to medical evaluations and make high level tests to be sure it aint a sham...too many false prophets have done the same since time immemorial

though between God cant do that..he would send someone and not himself...thats how its always been
Joshthefirst: The Christian God.

Kay17 needs direct validation of scripture by God himself coming down from heaven.

There're many issues to that, but what if God came down from heaven and worked a miracle, why would you not still choose to doubt?
Christianity EtcRe: Problems With Biblical Inerrancy by uzoexcel(m): 3:07pm On Aug 03, 2014
on point!!!!!!!!!
cold: Again if the argument is part of the bible came from god and part from primitive men,how do we know which is which? You do not know if Jesus really is resurrected, or if that's just a make-believe story inserted by primitive men. How do you know if God wrote the Ten Commandments or not? If any part of the Bible has been polluted by primitive men, you have to reject the whole thing. There is no way to know who wrote what, so the entire book is invalid. Let me reiterate, there really is no middle ground here. The Bible has to be an all-or-nothing book. Either the entire Bible came from God, or none of it did.
