This's the truth. When I meet a fellow Ghanaian. The only introduction we say is ete sen. To be honest I knew lots of ewe but didn't know they were ewe till I heard them speak a language I did not understand. I can honestly say Ghana take precedent over tribe.

I think one thing that we have that keeps us together us Ghanaian is the ability to speak one language no matter the tribe even if you can't speak it you will still be able to understand. Though Ghanaians are very religious, there's no regious hatred. Ghana is the only nation where Christians and Muslims both celebrate Ramadan and Christmas. Ramadan is as big as Christmas. Our country is very unique in that aspect when it compares with other African countries.

We oblivious to tribes that most Ghanaians just assume that you are Akan.
yes it's very true. That is also how I get to know the difference between Ewe and Ga is when their language is spoken which is obviously different from twi. I honestly don't care which tribe Ghanaians belong too. Once you are a Ghanaian then you are a Ghanaian

Nigerians are rude

but Ghanaians also

just different levels

its frustrating, living with rude Nigerians

then have to deal with rude Ghanaians when you come outside of Nigeria

the Ghanaians I met is Nigeria were awesome but the few ones I met here lipsrsealed

majority I met here are cool tho, only few bad ones
Ghanaians are generally not rude unless you are rude to them first then the guns will start blazing.

I don't get why people just need to be rude for no darn reason. It's so unnecessary. My advice is you either 1. Ignore them or 2. Be rude back because rude people seem to understand no other language until you dish them what they serve

But this was happening before even boko haram started. I guess Nigerians are just Tribalistic in nature. That's why I guess I understand why you folks hate on other nationalities like Ghana, SA, Kenya. Everyone feels they are better than the next person and it cuts across tribes too

I don't blame him, Yorubas are horrible especially their women

in Ghana, there is tribalism too
Nope there is not. Not like Nigerians. In Ghana we see ourselves collectively as Ghanaian. We don't distinguish ourselves from the GA tribe, Ashanti tribe, Ewe, akuapem etc etc. We see ourselves as Ghanaian and as long as you marrying a fellow Ghanaian then out folks have no problems with it. For me as long as he is Ghanaian we are good to go.

Most times when I meet another Ghanaian we just happy we met a fellow country men. I would say about 90 percent of the Ghanaians I know, I don't know their tribe. They are just a fellow Ghanaian brother and sister

Even with your beauty threads you will see beauty of Ghanaian women never beauty of Ga women etc etc because we see ourselves as one. We don't see certain tribes above the other.

Nigerians are funny people. You are from the same fkin country. I once met an Igbo man who hated Yorubas so much. He told me he would rather marry from a different country then a yoruba. In this day and age smh

I am starting to think the guy is bipolar.

Under Rickyross1 he is married to a Ghanaian. I must say he seems a bit 'less retarded' writing wise and expressing himself.

Under Cusubaba he is more raw. Under this moniker he is dating an Ewe girl. Apparently she is a ministers daughter grin grin

However he still uses the same statistics from his anus

RickyRoss1:
Ghana is a sick country, the people behave like black Americans, no culture, no manners or family values.
The most popular website in Ghana is WWW.CASUALPHORUM.COM and it is Bleep rated site, just browse the site for few minutes and see for yourselves. On this website its normal for boys to phuck their own mothers or blood sisters and talk about it on casual phorum openly without registration or restriction.

In Ghana it is very ok and competition for MOST girls to have children (BASTARDS) in their fathers house before getting married. As a result if a young girl gets unwanted pregnancy in Ghana people will hail and praise her bc its part of their culture, but in Nigeria the young girl will be abused and mocked by both her friends and family.

I am too busy and cannot waste my time to talk about the Ghanaian culture but from my experience and observations, over 80% of Ghanaians are bastards? This is neither a joke nor an insult. HOW DID I ARRIVE AT THIS FIGURE? I have 35 Ghanian friends, some are family friends, church members, business associates etc. Out of this number, 29 of them are bastards. Why is this so? Normally Ghanian men like to take advantage of their women or maybe the women enjoy being taken advantage of I dont know. This is what happens. A Ghana man dates a woman and gets her pregnant, once she puts to bed he will sack her and get another woman pregnant. The women are the worst offenders. An average Ghanian lady will make 4 children from 4 different men before she clocks 30 years old. At the end, there are millions of bastards everywhere without fathers. In Ghana the word BASTARD is irrelevant because if you want to use that word correctly almost every Ghanian will be a bastard.

Ghana has the highest divorce rate in Africa. I know there's no culture or society that is perfect but our Ghanaian brothers and sisters should take am jeje knowing fully well this is Africa and we are supposed to be cultured. What annoys me most is the number of rappee cases that is reported in Ghana on daily bases. No single day passes by without you hearing of a 45 years old man rapping a 4 years old girl. Few days ago an innocent girl of 8 died after being rap.ed.

8-year old girl dies after being defiled: http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=221977&comment=0#com
Rickyross1 aka Cusubasa/Cucubaba or whatever your previous moniker was.
Nigeria is a country synonymous with corruption, greed, 419, scams, money rituals, cannibalism etc. A true definition of a sick country. This is a country whereby money is more valued than human lives and family hence the whole money rituals popularity, baby factories, drug peddling and so on.

Nigerians do not love to work hard for their money. They just want to get easy money quick by all and any means possible. They love flashy things and showing off. I must be better than so and so. I must have a nicer car, a nicer house, nicer clothes, I must be better than my neighbor in all possible ways even if it means I have to kill my own parents to get that far.

Talking about bastards. Nigeria is a country whereby you screw like animals but yet abscound when it's time for responsibility. So and so abscounded when wife gave birth to triplets. So and so abscounded when wife gave birth to twins. I know so many girls of different nationalities that Nigerian men got pregnant and abscounded leaving them to cater for themselves and babies.

Getting a lady pregnant is like drinking water. Give her belle so that you can get your papers. Give her belle so that you can 'trap' her.

You should really expand your horizons and travel more so that your illiterate brain can open up. Ghana has not got the highest divorce rates in Africa. Divorce is strongly looked down on in Ghanaian society and that's why majority of a Ghanaian parents don't like Ghanaians marrying out especially with Nigerians cos most times the marriages do not last to be honest.

I can never marry from a country that hates my country, where I come from, my people and who I am. I have oja blood in me irrespective of the fact that I was not bred in Ghana. I am still 100 percent Ghanaian.

This whole bastard thing you speak about is obviously from your anus. None of the Ghanaians I know are
Bastards and in Ghana i dunno any. There will obviously be people born out of wedlock in any society even Nigeria and all the gross skewed generalizations you put there can be pointed back at Nigeria x 100 and plus more.

Both countries are not perfect, both countries have their ups and downs. Both countries have a long way to go. So you coming here pretending to be the King of the Don talking rubbish about Ghana and Ghanaians while your own backyard stinks too is hypocritical of the highest order. It's easy to say anything just like I demonstrated above. So please clean your own shiit first before looking at someone else's.

What I find the most ironic is the people who have the most shiit to say are either married to Ghanaians or living in Ghana which makes the whole thing even more fkd up. I bet that women you married does not know the real you because if she did......

My parents always warned me about one should be careful who you marry and where you marry from. You must really get to know the kind of person you marry. The hatred in you will not only possible rub against your wife(assuming you are actually married to a Ghanaian) but your kids as well. What a shame.

But this thread is old na!

It was created four years back. Although the Op is crazy and stùpid I still don't get why you people are reacting now.

Just ignore it and move ahead undecided

@volv0 if you allow what you read on the internet to affect your physical relationship with other people then it's going to be a big shame. You should know by now that there are all sorts of people on the internet who just want to say things that will incite anger and hatred from the other camp even when they don't really mean it. A look at the political section will tell you a lot. Outside the internet everything is different.

This is just Nairaland which does not even cover over half of a quarter of nigeria's population. Believe you me if I tell you that the wider part of nigeria's population does not even bother to give a shìt about what is going on in other countries,Ghana included, because we have our problems weighing us down.

When last have you guys seen any Ghana bashing thread recently? It's not like before.

Don't base your judgement on the characters of just a very minute part of the whole composition.

Nevertheless,,i'm not trying to persuade you to like nigerians. Just make sure you have the right reasons, not because of what you read on the net.
It does not matter how old the thread is. Whether 4 or 10 years ago still up to today people are still saying sh1t about Ghana and Ghanaians.

I am not basing my opinion sorely based on Nairaland. I have come across a lot of Nigerians and they behave the same way. The moment they find out I am a Ghanaian then they immediately start the whole comparison nonsense. Nigeria is better than Ghana. you can't compare Nigeria to Ghana. Why do Ghanaians hate Nigerians. Ghanaians are ugly and too dark and all the other bruhaha.

Before i just took it as 'friendly rivarly' but after coming on here and realising that 90% of the people here are the same way I have come to the conclusion that it must just be a Nigerian thing. Like I said before I do not believe every Nigeria is bad or like this. I have met a few here who do not fall into this category.

This is an anonymous forum where people can share their true feelings that they would generally not say in public. Yes this does not represent the whole population but let's just say I met about 5000 Nigerians in real life and 90% have something against Ghana and now I come on Nairaland and 90 % here have something against Ghana. This leaves me to conclude that if I had to base it on the whole population then most likely more people would have something against Ghana then the opposite.

That's how statistics are formed when they say every 3 person has this. I mean they have not tested the entire population but based on some dorm of stats they arrived at that conclusion.

I guess based on personal experience I have encountered more bad than good and unfortunately experience plays a role in perception.

Anyways it honestly doesn't matter anymore. I am over this. It was just a reaction to the sh1t I saw. It's not like I am going to go around killing Nigerians or something like that lol

After being on this forum for over 3 years I have come to the realization that Nigerians are obsessed with anything and everything Ghana. It's a sickness that you people need to cure. If you all spent half the amount of time you spent obsessing about what Ghanaians are doing than your own Country then maybe Nigeria would not be in such a mess as it is now.

Before I first came on Nairaland I knew that there was some sort of 'rivalry' between us but I never knew it was such intense xenophobic hatred. I was appalled at the things Nigerians used to say about Ghanaians and I wondered why are they like this. When there was e-wars I always used to be the one trying for peace until eventually I realized that Nigerians don't care for peace or want peace. I started slowly but surely finding myself caught in between the e-wars and slowly I started to feel a dislike towards Nigerians. It just started growing worse and worse as each vile thread, topic and comment I saw. I started to hate Nigerians and that's when I decided to deactivate my account (my first time) because I did not want this hatred to transfer itself in real life.

My parents stayed in Nigeria for 2 years(Not during period of Ghana must go) but the way they were treated and many Ghanaians were treated was horrific. I can just imagine how Ghanaians must have been treated during Ghana must go. I think that was probably the beginning of how the whole Ghana and Nigeria dislike started happening.

Personally I never had any issues with Nigerians. I generally tend to stay away from them because majority here in SA are up to no good to be frank.

Nigerians think they are saints and angels on earth. They believe that they are the best in the whole world. Everyone is jealous of them. They are without sin. Basically they are heaven on earth but the atrocities that goes on on your country yet you still like to cast stones at other countries makes you people hypocrites and that's one of the major reasons that many people worldwide dislike you. Not to even mention 419, drugs, rituals etc yet this raccoon of a person has the audacity to ask WTF is going on with Ghanaians. I mean WTF is happening with Nigerians? 90 % of the time your people are up to no good. Instead of you to crate a topic about WTF is happening to Nigerians. You are here talking about Ghanaians.

Firstly I have never heard of that site in my life but common sense going by the link would be an indication of what that site is about. The biggest Ghanaian site would be Ghanaweb.

You guys have your Naija leaks, Naija Uncut. Your Cossy and Maheeda prostitutes and other similar sh1t yet you want to claim angel on earth as if your people don't do sh1t.

Concentrate on your own fkng country and stop worrying and obsessing about what Ghanaians are doing all the time. I have never come across such a site that thrives on hatred, tribalism, xenophobia and unfortunately I have become like the rest of you hateful fools.

To RickyRoss1 it's obvious you married the Ghanaian for papers. That's what you people are good at. I would feel sorry for your wife that she married a demon but it serves her right. Any foolish Ghanaian girl that Marries a Nigerian guy is on her own and majority of the times they are of a 'certain class' to put it nicely.

I will admit there are good Nigerians out there. The two Nigerians on this site that I respect so much are Fulaman and Ifyalways.

If not for these two individuals I would think that all hope was lost.

Sometimes I wish I never joined this site because I will never be able to see Nigerians in the same light as before. I am sorry if you both( Fula and Ify) may feel offended by my post but this is coming from a place deep down in my heart and I am only being honest.
