Oga Gernot Rohr greetings from a concerned fan in Nigeria. And kudos to you and your boys for getting to this stage in the ongoing AFCON but I must tell you that the scoreline so far has not been impressive and try and do something about that blunt attack ASAP. I personally think you should try playing 3-5-2. Make Omeruo the heart of the defence with Troost by his right and Leon on the left. Play Ola Aina on that left wing he can come forward to support the attack and can equally fall back to help the defenders he did well playing that formation with Torino. Ndidi as the DM and Etebo as the CM slightly in front of him. Iwobi should play as the AM let's see if he can redeem himself in that position. Deploy Onyekuru and Osimhen in the attack let's see what those guys will be able to bring to the table 'cos the Cameroonians will be training on how to neutralize Musa and Ighalo begin with guys they don't know their pattern of play and get them confused from the 1st minute maybe in the 2nd half withdraw Onyekuru and bring in Ahmed Musa to further run them down 'cos he has the speed and maybe towards the 60 mins mark throw in Ighalo and I tell you he will try to prove a point by trying to score a goal and the defenders might not be able to contain him. You guys should leave Leon alone, our Oyibo wall, he has been a defense to break. We should not crucify him because of John Ogu's wrong passing decision.

I'm still wondering how many professionals do a 'square-play' all the way from where John Ogu passed that ball to the 18. He had the ball and other players closer to pin the darn ball on, not Leon who was nowhere near. He deserves a share of the blame - hell the bigger chunk.

Peronally till today i blame John Ogu the most. If you watch the clip again you'll notice he had better options than passing all the way back to Leon, two players close to him forward, a player at his direction and free space to lunch the ball forward: he was totally free not marked. I know Leon flopped too but it was not any way wise for the long back pass.

Falcons should be wary of the Queens seeing that they might want to extend dominance over them at WAFU tournaments. Any team from Ghana whether Men or Women are always known to be tough, relentless and highly ambitious. The Falcons should organise their defence line well, midfield should be locked and the attackers should endeavour to utilise every single opportunity.

I did not watch the live match but i have watched that clip over and over again. My observation goes thus:

1. Iheanacho was focusing on the ball/would be assist and not the goal
2. Iheanacho thought he was closer to the goal for an easy tap in
3. His effort was miscalculated

with those points above, i may say that the miss was not intentional as most of the fans from England to other part of the world including Nigeria are saying. Some players better than him have missed more good opportunity. Just that he was quite unfortunate.
My advice: dude, work on your finishing. Build more confidence, the world will celebrate you.
