I was denied visa in August, I had to defer to Spring and I just got my updated form I-20. I tried reapplying for a date last night, and was told that there was no date available in Abuja. Before trying to pick a date, there was a place where I was asked if I have been denied within the past 2 months, which I selected. Could that be the reason why I could not pick a date? Or who else is experiencing the same thing?

Hi! Good morning. Did you attempt to click on the "emergency request" option that is still showing and what happened when you click on it? If it allows you maybe you can give it a shot.

Also, did you include SEVIS payment receipt, signed I-20, DS-160 confirmation page, current visa appt page, MRV fee proof, and a letter informing them of your school's resumption date and the urgency when you requested EA? I think you should reach out to your school's international office and inform them of the difficulty in getting a date. Then politely ask your DSO to draft a visa support letter addressed to the visa issuing officer at the embassy/consulate in US to grant you an earlier interview date. If you have any letter or funding proof from your graduate advisor (if applicable in your case) please include it too. When do you resume?

Please whats a funding proof letter from a course advisor like? I have only been in contact with the admissions office in my department,i dont have a funding from my school.

Is visa support letter a thing? So they can email the embassy?

Hi. No you don't have the option of requesting for another emergency appointment once you've selected a date already. You can only request EA once per application unless you cancel your pending request then change to another location e.g. Lagos to Abuja or pay another MRV fee.

On my i20, my course of study which is finance is not stated on it, instead they wrote Program : management science 1, please do you think i should write to the school concerning that?

there is no process it’s for the person to get another date even immediately after denial and refire

what about ds160, will they need up yo update or refill? Or still use the same number?

Please whats the process for visa reapplication after a denial?

Didn’t listen to all those instructions cos I was surprised, he didn’t even listen to the last answer and handed me the white paper

God factor I keep on saying this is involved, however prepare like your life depends on it.

I saw blue print like 15 before mine and my heart skipped to my mouth , but I kept on singing this song ‘O lord my God, when I’m in awesome wonder; How Great thou art’, and my VO God assigned to me just said to me, you come!!!!


I want to specially thank God for his mercies that never comes to an end, but new every morning and great is his faithfulness.

haaa, thats like 2 weeks time; apply to abuja, pay for your sevis, apply for emergency, but the emergency date may be in September, which means you may need to request for an extension or defer till January.

But try to run all these processes Tommorrow, i did mine within 2days, sevis confirmation came the same day

Please I need assistance and that why I'm here. Here's my profile, I have a BSc(Ed) in Animal production with a GPA of 4.3/5, I also have a diploma in Forestry technology with a GPA of 2.8/4. I have my degree transcript but I don't have for my diploma. I'd like to further my education (Msc) abroad, my first choice country is Canada but seems expensive hence I opted for USA hoping I would be able to afford it and get good opportunities as a student there.
Here is where I need help
1. I want to switch to environmental science/agricultural extension/agric sustainability. Do I stand a chance and how do I gain admission?

Concerning your course, nobody can tell you if you stand a chance or how yu can gain an admission. Its a process, if ithe course will be useful for you then you have no problem, just do your research, use google,look for those in your field. present your case well at the visa interview

Fill a new form DS160 by logging into your account and retrieve your information. Make the necessary changes and corrections on the new form DS160..

A new ds160 number will be generated for you.. Go to your USA visa interview page and update your ds160 number with this new number.

Please note that a new Ds160 number update must be done 48hrs before your interview.

Also remember to print out the new ds160 confirmation page and take to your visa interview
