teebaxy: how much is it in dollars Sir? $350. But you will be asked to pay some charges like a commission, which can amout to 25 dollars. If you have someone abroad, that has a nigerian account, you can send them money and they can make payment for you immediately at a western union. My friends bro paid 359.9 there about in total |

I just got a feed back concerning the feedback i sent using the CGI portal on july 15,
“In response to your question, we would like to inform you that your request is still under review. You will received an e-mail once your emergency appointment has been approved or denied.”
Does anyone have an idea of when someone will get another email for an emergency date from them if they have sent a feedback |

Predstan: What’s the solution? Protest, rants and aggression. None of that but patience. So if I’m asking him/her to be patient, it is not insensitive. Coming to NAIRALAND will not solve any of those issues. There was this thread years ago where the consulate do respond to people, they closed it and moved because of aggressive rants like this. cN you assure them that the patience will grant them a date before next week if they trully keep quiet ?? When people are hurt and are expressing themselves, if you cant show empathy its better to keep quiet. Passing your message in a harsh way will not make you even be heard or sound wiser. Moreover they posted on a free space and didn’t mention you directly, so what’s really the problem ? The guy that travelled to abuja for an interview that got canceled can you refund the cos of his traveling? The time he spent practicing ? Or how exactly should he be hopeful, what should bring that hope? They didnt even send him a message indicating a reschedule, they just left him in the cold and you are saying “he is on his own and has no right to complain” Why are we mean to other people? Why is it hard to be nice to our brothers? Why do we leave our own space, crosss boundaries to inflict pain on others? What’s really the problem ? |

Controlla123: When I was directed to her window(7) by security
I NEED EXPERT OPINION ON WHAT PROBABLY WENT WRONG
Venue (Lagos) VO: Pass me your I20 and Passport
She took the visa and the i20 and after verifying the passport, she started typing and stuff for like 1min.
Then she asked why I was going to the US Me: I am going to the US to purse my masters in xyz at Mtsu She nodded and went on typing and checking her system again It’s took her another minute to ask Why I chose the course Me: I chose the masters of Hci because I’ve always been a tech savvy person and my strength and motivation lies in the field of commuting and data analytics. While working as an intern in a neuropsychiatric hospital I discovered a gap when it comes to the use of modern day devices and technology to gather, analyze and utilize store information to proper solution for the patient.I also want to build apps, software and provide business solutions that will revolutionize the Healthcare industry in Nigeria. I intend to return back to the country to lecture at the university of Ibadan as an HealthCare Data Analyst while working as a consultant in the medical industry in Nigeria. Then after like 1min after I answered the question. She went on typing.. that was it. She gave a me a blue paper this thing ehhhh, someone else can grant you the Visa with this same transcript. Also, maybe she felt that the reason why you choose the course doesn’t tally completely with your intension, you are tech savvy and love to build apps, but your main aim is to be a lecturer. Maybe thats what she thinks. But you didnt do badly, I’m so sorry you went through this and got a blue, sending you hugs |

Tomibob: I placed a call through to the Abuja embassy yesterday and I was given a special number to call, since my complaint was about an emergency request for a NIV.
The guy at the other end crosschecked my profile and said my ER was still under review. I even told him about the urgency of my request, noting that I've to be present soon for GA duties and on the job training and can't defer any longer after deferring from Fall 2020. He said there's nothing that can be done and that I'll receive an email once it's approved or denied. Persuaded him with everything possible, yet he stood his ground.
The only thing left is just to keep waiting. There was no approval throughout last week due to the holidays(if I'm not wrong). They've probably started attending to emergency requests since yesterday. I saw November 2021 dates later yesternight.
Cheers please can you share the number you called? |

I have a GA role and a financial aid (a few dols). I've just been doing random search for preparation on the internet before now. Please help with what to look out for and questions to prepare for. My school is to resume on the 16th of August, I applied for emergency date but was denied. So I had to stick to August 2nd. Been worried coz of the closeness of the dates but I'm just trusting God. I'll appreciate any help right now. Thank you you have august 2nd? And you still requested for emergency, haba mana. I’m to assume school on the 16th and my date is November 1 |

Regards, U.S. Visa Service Desk.
Then I tried to check for available dates to see if it has been approved and could only find dates in 2022. However, I haven't submitted my DS160 form and I realized that I have an option to change location before submitting the form.
My question now is if I change my interview location to Abuja will my EA (Emergency appointment request) still count for this new location or will my EA option link be restored as it has been removed after my first request?
I will be anticipating your response guys.
Thank you. please what email adress did you use? |

Congratulations!!! Opportunity of a lifetime, grab it with all 4 limbs. To those who got delayed, don’t try any other yeye country o lol… America is still where it’s at. Double the efforts and try again. They will approve it las las. God bless all the countries America. Jk. yes I remember you, you refused to help people after you got there, I remember people asked you questions and you said you weren’t going to answer cos of some reasons like and that most people going to study are making huge mistakes. You vowed not to help people. Nice to meet you again |

Muleriders:
that Twoods guy?.
I almost committed suicide in 2018 when this dude quoted me and said "you are failure, just forget about American dream and re-enroll afresh in a Nigerian University to get a better grade", "what were you doing when your mates were making 2.1 and first class".
As God will have it, walspring came to my rescue for TOEFL and GRE 50% discount as well as sevis payment. Fairheart came through for mocks. He was calling me with his credit days to my interview. Lagosismyhome came through for motivation and mentorship. To the glory of God and shame of Twoods, I will be graduating next week Friday July 30. With an estimated cgpa of 3.7/4.0.
Also got several honors including Beta Gamma Sigma which is the highest honor any business student can receive in the whole world. Awwwww!!! You went through alot. I’m so happy you made it. Congratulations hun |

Predstan: Your few posts on NAIRALAND has only been to troll and to make some jokes on Fairheart. You need to focus more on your life, and develop yourself so that you won’t have any reason to troll people that are ahead of you. I will be justified if I say that you are hiding under a troll account and do not want to reveal your self with your real account. You should get a life bro.
To prexy1999, if your PhD specialization requires common sense, you should know that Fairheart has been on this thread for over a decade. Ofcourse you are still very new to NAIRALAND and the thread. If not you won’t be asking Fairheart where he is studying in 2021 just as you won’t be asking Lagosismyhome, walspring, or twoods where they are studying in America.
Only a dingbat will not know that twoods criticism comes from a place of envy, Schadenfreude, and some egotistic pride. The same man who said that someone can never study or go to the US. The same person who derive joy from other people’s failure but he (twood) himself is in the Us married to a white woman(not lady) for the paper and claiming the saint moses or saint Banabas. Anyway, only new people on this thread will take him serious.
Back to your unfortunate queries about Fairheart. You can signify yourself if Fairheart has requested a fee from you for the basic help he has rendered for you. He has been on this thread for years helping people both online and offline but you think it’s a problem for him to open a study abroad consultancy even though majority of his students are not from this thread? Same thing i was wondering too! I have been following this thread since 2018 and i have known fairheart quite well. It was shocking to actually watch him get dragged. It is well |

marcojnr: VISA APPROVED !
This is my transcript as promised .Let me give a little background.I contacted an immigration lawyer who advised I cancel my appointment at the lagos embassy and apply in Accra,Ghana instead.Ive lived in Ghana for a while and only moved back recently and I hold both passports(Main reason I contacted a lawyer for the sakes of home ties). My sponsor also lives in Ghana and I’ve had my education and some work there. I’m just grateful to God because it’s been 2 years working on this.
The embassy in Ghana is very very calm and no anyhowness like you’ll see at Walter carrington before entering and nobody outside asking to arrange your papers .The embassy is currently prioritizing only students so all the folks I saw there were students
Only 3 V.O available and no sitting from entering the visa hall until you leave so process was very fast
Stood in line for biometrics and continued to interview area
When it was my turn Me:Good morning V.O: Good morning. Please pass me your documents
V.O : Please put your hand on the scanner
V.O : What are your travel plans Me: I’m traveling to the USA for my masters in information systems and business analytics
V.O: Who is paying for your trip Me: My father
V.O : (Looks up at me)What does he do? Me: (V.O Kept making eye contact from time to time)He’s a wholesale importer of clothes from South Korea ,China and the UK.He owns and runs a hotel and has rental residential and commercial properties some of which are occupied by banks
V.O : (After typing and looking at his screen for a long time)Are you married ? Me: No
V.O : Do you have any children Me: No please
V.O : (sticks a sticker behind my passport gives me a small piece of white paper )You can follow the instructions on there to pick up your passport at the circled time tomorrow .Come with a government issued ID Me:Thank you
Just like that no document asked even though other before me were asked to show transcripts and school certificates.SEVIS receipt was not a requirement for the interview here but I had it .
All in all I only witnessed two denials, one from a lady who had a G.A but had been denied before and another guy who claimed his aunt will pay his $60k deficit .Another lady who claimed her friend in the USA will help her pay a deficit of $50k was approved. What they say about making eye contact is true.Look them straight in the eye even when they’re not paying attention to you. Be confident in your answers (Practice in a mirror with your mask on)and go very well prepared and practice speaking audibly if your voice is low tone.Dress in a way that’ll help your confidence but don’t over do it. Don’t offer any documents or unwanted information unless you’re asked .Fill your DS-160 yourself and go over it multiple times and know exactly what you’ve put down. Don’t worry about denials before you ,your case is different and pray if you believe in it. This thing is just grace i swear |
