So far Tinubu's removal is leading. Mote please, I like the vuvuzela and vawulence. Let is be sounded so that even the PEPT will do justice. |
Two occasions that Nigerians were sent into a frenzy of Jubilation that I can remember were in 1996 and 1998. In 1996, Nigeria stunned the footballing world by winning gold at the Atlanta Olympic Games. The team's story is told in a new documentary, "Super Eagles 96. That day the whole country was in full celebration. Second time that readily comes to mind was on June 8, 1998. That was the day the despot and dictator Gen Sani Abacha died. That day every beer parlor was overflowing as Nigerians went into a frenzy of celebration. This is just to sound out the mind of Nigerians on NL or you may call it an open-ended survey. So, I would like to ask, what could make Nigerians go into another wild jubilation in 2023? |
You guys should stop being "stu.pid". Whatever the Supreme Court decides becomes the precedence and no responsible judge would create crisis in the future just because of one silly thief. |
With $1 at N850 and £1 at N1200, it would soon be quicker for some Nigerians to give their children up for sale to survive than consider feeding them. Tinubu is a disaster that should NEVER had happened! |
helinues:Did you read what you typed? So, what results did they cross'checked 18000 blurred, mutilated and descripant results with? What results did INEC cross-checked pictures of lovers with? See, all these hallucinations will not save Tinubu. The INEC back-end server results are not in sink with announcements hence INEC claimed server glitch that choosed to affect only presidential results on a day both NASS and presidential elections were held with the same device. It is like saying, you device malfunctioned on same platform when you want to text your manager, but wirksvwhen you text your girlfriend. |
Approximately 144m Nigerians are now living below $1 a day, kudos to Tinubu's tribulation |
Thought NANS hailed Student Loan. Una never see shegè bànzaà. |
So, FCT is no longer the 37th State? Tinubu is a goner. |
Qadaffi2idiamin:Just imagine ... Discredited Self-serving |
iLoveYouToo:So, Deziani you all condemned was innocent? How come a fine become "nothing" to an innocent man, when a fine can only be imposed for OFFENSES? |
With all parties closing arguments in the court of appeal, there is panicky in the air and more especially within the presidency. The facts of the matter and evidences are so overwhelming that for the first time, the Nigerian judiciary is under pressure to either redeem her image or completely whute-wasg whatever fading image it has. From double nomination of VO Shettima, to Tinubu's criminal forfeiture of $460000, to controversial academic records, 25% requirement for FCT, the Tinubu's regime looked set to be sacked. What is more? The INEC could not adjudged themselves to have done well. The INEC chairman himself was quoted as saying that they failed in result collation. That alone is a self-indictment which the court need not search for proof of. This is in addition to the damning report from the EU observers. The latter was so impactful that the inglorious regime had to sponsor state protest to the EU office. In fact, knowing that they are facing removal, the government has been running here and there seeking to truncate the judicial system. From calling the CJN for help to attempting to force some justices to resign, we see obvious signs of desperation. My take us simple, we shall rejoice soon. For the thieves occupying our land will be be overwhelmingly defeated. |
Late 2022, the buzz was on about the discovery of oil in Bauchi. The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC) unveiled the discovery of hydrocarbon deposits in the Kolmani River II Well on the Upper Benue Trough, Gongola Basin, in the north eastern part of the country. At the flag-off, we learnt over $3b has already been invested by institutional investors. President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. Over a billion barrels of oil found in northern Nigeria, Buhari said as drilling starts. The president said the country also found 500 billion cubic feet of gas within the Kolmani area of Gombe and Bauchi, and has attracted $3 billion investment already. The NNPC had in October 2019 announced the discovery of hydrocarbon deposits in the Kolmani River II Well on the Upper Benue Trough, Gongola Basin, in the North-eastern part of the country. The commercial quantity discovery was the first in the region after several crude oil explorations in the Upper Benue Trough. The oilfield will be developed by Sterling Global Oil, New Nigeria Development Commission (NNDC) and NNPC Ltd. The discovery of oil and gas in commercial quantities in the Gongola Basin, according to NNPC, will attract foreign investment, generate employment for people to earn income and increase government revenues. During the flag-off in Bauchi on Tuesday, Mr Buhari said “This is indeed significant considering that efforts to find commercial oil and gas outside the established Niger Delta Basin were attempted for many years without the desired outcomes,” Mr Buhari said. “This discovery had emanated from our charge to the NNPC to re-strategize and expand its oil and gas exploration footprints to the frontier basins of Anambra, Dahomey, Sokoto, Benue trough, Chad and Bida Basins. Similar activities across the other basins are currently actively ongoing.” “We are pleased with the current discovery of over 1 billion barrels of oil reserves and 500 billion cubic feet of gas within the Kolmani area and the huge potential for more deposits as we intensify exploration efforts. “As a fully integrated in-situ development project comprising upstream production, oil refining, power generation and fertilizer, the project promises many benefits for the nation. This includes but is not limited to Energy Security, Financial Security, Food security as well as overall socio-economic development for the country,” he said. Mr Buhari noted that considering the landlocked location and the huge capital requirement, the economics of the project is a challenging proposition. We are now in the middle if fuel price crisis and we have not heard anything again about the oil discovery in Northern Nigeria. So, as we grapple with oil thieves in the Niger-Dekta, one is tempted to ask, when will the Koima oil hit the market? |
Thieves like I originally and Tinubu can only be convicted outside Nigeria. This tells a lot about our judiciary and judicial system. This is the more reason we need a total overhaul and change in our system |
Pathfinder2090:I receive it in Jesus name. Let the bitter souls keep whining. |
madridguy:Your thinking is Greek. Decode that? |
siofra:That makes you a trophy to be kept on the shelf. What a wish! |
madridguy:So, of all you read, only that part was important to you? Then, you read with a "fault-finding" perception. Please, free your mind of tribal, religious, ethnic complexes. You will see the good in the write-up. |
helinues:"We have learned to fly in the air like a bird and swim in the sea like a fish, but we have not yet learned the simple art of living together (as humans)" ~ Martin Luther King Jr. Birds do not attend flight schools, fishes do not attend swimming classes, those two dominate their spaces. Humans with all their faculties cannot live together, because of: - Tribes/races - Religions - Insecurities (inferiority complex) |
THIS IS NOT A TRIBALISM THREAD. PLEASE CARRY YOUR TRIBALISM TO OTHER THREADS, LETS BE POSITIVE FOR ONCE. I was watching the WWC between Nigeria and Canada yesterday. Atleast about half, if not more than that are Igbos. The same goes for the national football team, the Super Eagles and several sporting events. Even the woman of the natch is Igbo, she practically saved the day. Them again I began a soul searching, like what would Nigeria have been like if Igbos were not part of us. Perhaps like Togo, Chad or even Niger? Except politics and agriculture or farming. Igbos dominate everywhere else. From sports, to academics (leading in both Jamb and WAEC), socially, they hold their own in Nollywood, businesses and industries, Onitsha, Nnewi and Aba lead. Housing, they own them across Nigeria. The first Olympic gold medalist, Çhioma Ajumwa is Igbo. We celebrate the likes of JJ Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, etc. I was on a microsoftteams call recently where a foreigner was eulogising JJ Okacha after I introduced myself a Nigerian. I was in Nairobi once and I went to an art store, when I introduced myself as a Nigerian, the store owner took me to one corner and asked "all those things (fetish acts) by Pete Edozie are they real"? And I asked do you watch Nollywood films, and he said, they relish it in Kenya and started mentioningactors and actressesthat I do not even know. Same applies to many other African countries. In business, travel and enterprise, you go to Alaba, computer villages, Trade fare complex, Ladipo spare parts market, in Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Benin, all over Nigeria, they are there. In fact someone said, anywhere you do not see an Igboman, know that humans cannot inhabit there. Talk of entertainment, they are there. Talk of international representation, Igbos lead. In finance, Igbos have their strong showing with the likes of Jim Ovia, Elumelu and others who pioneered the new generations. Our Amazon of inestimable value, Mrs Okonjo-Iweala is Igbo. Late Dora Akuyinli of blessed memory was Igbo. In literature, we had the likes of Chinua Achebe, Cyprian Ekwensi, Chimamanda Adichie, just to mentionba few. Also, I imagine that Igbos could rebuild their nation and overtake some of us after their cities were turned to riuns after the civil war. Not many people can açhieve this. Their apprenticeship program is studied in many MBA classes. Please, let us celebrate the Igbos. This is not to deride other tribes, we will find other occasions to celebrate them, but for once, let us celebrate a people who impact us positively. Yes, every tribe and even families have their dark horses, but let's put those aside and celebrate the good. Thank my dear Igbos of Nigeria, you are a blessing to Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Nigerians. |
Politics aside, Igbos rule Nigeria. Without Igbos, Nigeria will be like Togo or Chad self. Just check it, is it sports, businesses, industry, housing, fashion, medicine, academia, social life, nollywood, all sectors, except farming. I respect those people and their level of independence and liberalism. Different my 🧢 |
EFCC should be disbanded. They are now useless as used tampon. We need a new body with a sensible head and professional team. |
IconicR:Who are the competitors? Where do they get dollars if not the same I&E platform. Now it is N840 and importers will their gains better go and buy a horse unless you can afford Tesla like me. |
This fuel price will favor me and my family |
When we warned that Tinubu decision to remove subsidy and float Naira was a disaster, the supporters called us Wailing Wailers. Today's price of N620 per litre was imported with $1 rare of N650 - N700. Next batch is coming at the price of N770 - N820, at that time pump price will hit N750 per litre. This is the effect of balablu Bulaga and gazelle gagaraga government. Una go shed tears ... we are not joining any protests. Let the mad.dators and roñù learn by force. |
LegendHero:Abeg, let educated people talk. |
Gondonu:Corn-mandate is a corn-fused failure. |
This government is favouring me and my family. At least when I send my elder sister $100, she can buy enough stuff for a month. |
Tinubu is giving you N8k ($10), so do not complain |
Adultnappers should reason Buhari as he takes these strolls. |
