jagtinic:
Pa Adebanjo, the Afenifere leader within his right decided that Peter Obi is his preferred candidate. But his premise for the support - Equity and Justice - is indeed faulty.

How do you measure equity and justice in a society with several ethnic groups - where only three groups are often mentioned - with the other groups regularly sidelined.

Apart from the Yorubas, Ibos and Hausa/Fulani, we have the Benins, Efiks, Ibibio, Igala, Tiv, Jukun, Ijaws, Itsekiris to name a few. Even within the major tribes there are different groups.

In canvassing for Peter Obi on the basis of equity and justice where does he leave the other tribes. Do those ethnicity not have a right to be president of the nation as well. Are the Efiks, Ibibio, Tiv, Nupe and the rest less Nigerian than the Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas?

Also, political power is not served on a platter, it is strategically fought for. Nobody will give power for the sake of giving it. When President Barack Obama became the president of the USA, it was not because they were trying to repay the blacks. He won because people believed he had what it took to be president not because of equity and justice.

The premise of equity and justice looks like a way to emotionally blackmail and it is not good enough.

Politics › 2023: Defeat Stares APC In The Face - Wants BVAS Reversed by Validated(op): 3:10pm On Nov 24, 2022
As defeat stares the APC on the face, they now want to expunge BVAS and Electronic transmissions of results. Unfortunately, they signed the law giving INEC power to use BVAS and Electronic transmission. Did you read their excuses, network and power. Nonsense!

It is on record that BVAS and Electronic transmission of results have greatly improved electoral credibility in Nigeria. From Anambra to Ekiti and Osun states, INEC have continued to improve the process.

Now going into 2023 general elections, APC with all her STRUCTURES are scared that LP have taken the lead. They now want to go back to the days of ballot snatching. We say, NEVER AGAIN!!!

The structure they talk about is the structure to rig, snatch ballot boxes and rig at collation centers. Nigeria has moved past that stage. Buhari on his part with Emefiele have dealth a deadly blow to vote buying. This is why APC is in jeopardy about 2023.

We advise APC and Tinubu to withdraw now to avoid a disgraceful 4th place outing come February 2023. grin
Politics › Re: Does Crowd At Rallies Really Matter? by Validated: 2:54pm On Nov 24, 2022
Polchiz:
Personally, I have never attended political rally but I have always voted my preferred candidate.

The front runners for the presidency come 2023 are engaging in political rallies across the country and their supporters and opponents are always quick to brag about crowds in their rally.

No rally can pull upto 400, 000 people, considering the capacity of the venues. Contrastly, candidates have won states with over a million votes. Some people are also paid to be at the rally.

Consequently, I ask " does crowd at rally translate to votes? ".

Additionally, don't we think that grassroots sensitization and mobilisation is more productive than rallies?

Many rural dwellers don't have the time and resources to make it to venues of campaign rallies .
Ask Rolly in Kenya, he will educate you more.

Politics › 2023: I Pity Those Who Connived To Oust GEJ, Now Romancing His Followers by Validated(op): 8:44pm On Nov 22, 2022
GEJ and mama Peace are Wike's political god-parents. Bala Mohammed is GEJ's political protege, same as former Gombe state governor Alh Hassan Dankwambo.

In 2015, Atiku and 5 PDP governors (nPDP) ganged up with Tinubu's ACN, Buhari's CPC to form APC and hence removed Jonathan.
Meanwhile, while these betrayers were romancing with others to remove GEJ, Obi moved from APGA to PDP and to give GEJ succour.

FASTFORWARD to 2022, Atiku and Tinubu want Jonathan and his political sons to support them to be president.

If you are mama Peace, would you encourage GEJ to endorse these betrayers?

This is why I tell those who have ears that Peter Obi is the Next President.

sreamsense:
Keep deceiving yourself! You are only making more noise than the reality on ground. Is it today, those oppositions existed? You are even trying to rope LP party in, you will be suprized when reality hit you in February with bulk votes (more than half of total votes) going to Tinubu from Kano as usual. Regarding Lagos, you are just wasting your time trying to make LP relevant. PDP tried many for many years with support of Igbos with nothing to show for it. All these noises about LP will only deliver some thousand votes that can not win a local government. When reality hits, it will be as if LP is not existing in Lagos. Majority of Igbos will travel to their regions to cast votes while majority of few remaining Igbos that are not supporting Tinubu in Lagos are negligible. Focus will be on PDP/APC as usual. Get use to that now to avoid high BP later in February
I have let others bring reality to you. Tinubu and APC cannot get more than 30% of Kano. Buhari is not on the ballot but Kwankwaso is. In 2019, PDP defeated APC in Kano, forget the rerun magic, that cannot happen again because BVAS has checkmate that. Then, add Shrkarau who was part of APC in 2019 to the equation.

As for Lagos, again let me remind you that voter suppression and MC Oluomo ballot snatching is dead. Once you snatch a ballot box, the polling unit is cancelled. So, it would be to the disadvantage of APC to try ballot snatching as they will lose big time. Currently, LP is leading the polls in Lagos. Whether online or offline, election polls have a 10% boost to the winner. This is reality and 2023 will decimate previously held notion that Tinubu holds the aces to Lagos. Know this and know peace.

Politics › 2023: Any Political Party Banking On Lagos & Kano Has Lost by Validated(op): 8:52am On Nov 22, 2022
Kano and Lagos have highest voting population. However, these votes have been shared to the extent that no single political party can claim block votes from these states in the build up to 2023 elections

In Kano today, the three gladiators are in different political parties, namely Kwankwaso of NNPP, Shekarau of PDP and governor Gandulje of APC. Unlike in 2015 and 2019, whereby Buhari had a field day, 2023 would most likely be shared in 3 equal pieces. Arguably, a small piece would definitely fall on Peter Obi's plate, hence one can easily simply say that Kano is not a decider or swing state in the 2023 presidency.

In same vein, Lagos is also balkanized and even much more. Whereas APC appears to have an upper hands on paper, reality is that Peter Obi's LP is holding on to a massive vote that reduces Lagos to a three horse race of APC, LP and PDP. In the presidential election, APC would definitelyl be humbled by structureless LP. The combination of PDP and LP votes in Lagos means that APC would likely be struggling to get a third of Lagos votes. This would likely sound the death knell for the ruling APC in 2023.

In conclusion, any of the four leading political parties, namely LP, PDP, NNPP and APC could not be banking on Kano or Lagos votes to win 2023. This is the hard truth, know this and save yourself the pains of heart attack in 2023.
