Their new plot is to cause mayhem and snatch ballot boxes. The reason for this is that INEC have insisted that anywhere violence is recorded, such polling unit would be cancelled. Based on that, these evil parties are targeting LP strongholds to cause mayhem in Lagos, some SS states like EDO and most SW states. They are also reports of plans to cause crisis in SE and some NC states like Kogi, Nasarawa. Kaduna South and some other states are not spared. This is why it is imperative that measures are put in place to forestall such incidences. LP and CUPP need to act now and ensure that security agencies nip any such evil acts in the bud.

i am sorry to say this. The reason we have so many crimes and criminalizes is because our security agencies lack accountability. This is the major difference between Nigeria and Western society or developed world. In the West, any security officer responsible for any precinct where a crime is perpetrated is held accountable. By that token, they are not easily compromised by criminals. Back home, anything goes. A DPO is never held accountable for crimes in his jurisdiction

Going into 2023, the FG should ensure that any police officer and Civil Defence head who is charged with protecting elections, election materials and process are dismissed, where such crimes are recorded. For example, any DPO on whose domain ballot boxes are snatched must be dismissed. Also any police area commander and state police commissioner on whose state ballot boxes or confirmed cases of voters intimidation is reported must be rosecuted and demoted, where found culpable. This is accountability.

I urge the FG to ensure that for the first time, Nigeria must get it right. We demand peaceful and credible elections. If this is the only legacy Buhari leaves Nigeria with, that would always go to his credit.
