ogazi007:
This is reality check. He needs much more than miracle to win this election. He had the support of the Northern governors and the emirs in 2011 hence the success he recorded in the north ie 25% of the total vote cast.As it stands at the moment, those Governors/Northerners that supported him in 2011 hoping he will not re-contest for power to return to the North are all disappointed in him.Its better for them to show solidarity with their people that never really voted Gej than to become politically irrelevant and put the life of their beloved ones and theirs in danger.Gej is a difficult candidate to sell in the north and with an average Northerners believes Gej is behind Boko haram or his government has not done enough to curtail the activities of the insurgent wrecking havoc in most part of their land,he is in for a shock. He will have to beg Tinubu for him to stand a chance cos he is not going to get 99% of total vote of south south and south east the way it was in 2011. APC has turned a National party, and also have the financial muzzle to campaign in every nooks and crannies of southern part of the country and make sure they have agents in all the pooling units across Nigeria. This is the first time PDP is facing a real opposition in an election. They have always succeeded in frustrating the mergers of main political parties. Most Nigerians have grown beyond Muslim/christian tricks, people should campaign based on their achievement and what they stands for period.
And the miracle will still happen. Just stand still and see the salvation of God. What Almighty God has ordained, no gang up can change. Just like Pharaoh. APC Will exclaim ... "The Lord is God" come February 16. 2015

WHAT PROMINENTS NIGERIANS SAY ABOUT BUHARI

“The army after toppling our democratic regime have no option but to install Buhari as head of state so as to avoid credibility problems, especially in the sight of the international community because of his being an epitome of integrity."
- SHAGARI.

“There are only 2 honest & reliable Nigerians. Myself & Buhari. All what PDP is saying of Buhari being fundamentalist is mere hot lies. They just fear, let‘s go to jail “
– OBJ

General Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the Supreme Military Council and as Head of NNPC was by nature taciturn and introvert. But he took any work that was given to him very seriously. He is reliable as he is hardworking and honest, his path of moral probity and rectitude” Incorruptible
– President Olusegun Obasango , in his book, “Not My Will”.

“Buhari was a big brother & a father to some extent that mean nothing in life & to the nation always other than good. So, I fear no harm from him.“
– LATE YAR‘ADUA.

“Buhari was honest & sincere in all his conduct that perhaps, only very few Nigerians could match in integrity.“
–GEN. ABDUSSALAM

“Gen. Muhammadu Buhari was a true patriot, respected former head of state & elder statesman & a nationalist.“
-PRESIDENT JONATHAN.

“I have realized our collective mistake in over-throwing you. I have seen the terrible damage which our inaction caused to the Nigerian psyche. I am most sorry. Please, come and do what is best known about you. Patriotic service to the nation.“
–LATE ABACHA (PTF inaugural speech).

“If Buhari quit PTF job as he promises & as we knew him to mean his words, all along, I support the idea of scrapping PTF as no one else can do the job as him.“ –IBB

I respect Buhari. He was my Boss.He was an honorable man. And I can say this anywhere”.
-General Ibrahim Babangida.

“As a member PDP BOT, I decided personally to donate the #5,000,000 to Buhari‘s campaign organization because of my firm believe in his ability to right all the nation wrongs-
ALH. ISIYAKU IBRAHIM.

“Buhari is as clean as the book I am holding”
~ Alhaji Isiaku Ibrahim, a Member of PDP Board of Trustees @ a Book launch in Kaduna

“The issue of Gen. The Buhari‘s presidency was always being derided by the criminals who looted the nation to stupor by embarking upon a campaign of calumny so as to smear his name with a view to denying Nigerians having a leader who can improve their lots.“
–PROF. DAVID WEST.

“If the truth must be said, Buhari remain the only real threat to PDP wither he runs for the presidency or not due to his wider followership among the masses that now hit the elite circle.“
-SEN. MAKARFI.
Meanwhile, what do ordinary Nigerians say about him?

- Corrupt: N2.8Billion (1978) missing and declared that Abacha was "not corrupt"

- 53 Suitcases missing

- PTF scam under his watch aided Abacha loots

- Destroyed Nigeria by staging the coup that brought himself, IBB, Abacha. That action alone makes him unfit for civilian presidency

- Clamped down on Nigerian press (Decree 4 of 1984)

- Jailed only Southern politicians and assumed their northern counterparts were saints

- Over 83% of his ministers, governors, etc were Northerners

- Activated the riot that killed innocent Youth Corp members in the North after losing 2011 elections

- Fingered as being behind Boko-Haram

- Serial loser of elections and a customer to Election Tribunals

- Islamic fundamentalist who seeks to implement Sharia across the nation

- Introduced trade-by-barter in 20th Century

- Octogenarian seeking to rule in the jet and computer age

- Promises to stabilize international oil prices. A clear indication of economic ignorance

- Claims to have "atleast N1m" whereas he has been bankrolling president elections every four years

- Never worked anywhere since 1984

- Never improved himself educationally since leaving military college in the 70's

- Jailed Fela for no reason

- Murdered Ojuolape and co by backdating his murderous decree

wirinet:
We the people of Nigeria are represented (supposedly) by the National Assembly (according to the 1999 constitution) and not a commitee constituted by the president, governors and a few bodies.

How will a president change the constitution without the National Assembly and all state assemblies? Any thing done outside the constitution will be declared null and void by the courts (just like the Interim Government of Sonekan)
Any of the candidates that would not sign a contract to push for implementation of the report of the CONFAB should forget Southern and Middle-Belt votes.

Such candidate has no business seeking elective office in the first place, talk less of the office of President. All the president has to do is to present the draft to the new National Assembly and lobby for its full implementation. It requires WILL POWER and that is the contract the South and Middle Belt should extract from GEJ and GMB. This is the real change we want!!!

I support this stand. The North cannot always have it their way. I am sure GEJ would push for its implementation but if Buhari will look the other way, I will personally campaign against him on this.

Nigeria MUST move forward.
Politics › Re: Buhari Should Take A STAND On CONFAB Report... OR by Validated: 7:04am On Dec 14, 2014
This is a very relevant discussion. The North is against true federalism and equality of the contraption called Nigeria. The conference was a first ever win-win position taken by our leaders whether we like it or not.

If APC and Buhari truly have interest of Nigerians and especially Southern Nigeria and the Middle-Belt, this is the time to take a position. Anything else, the South including SW should leave the North to their myopic grand standing. I believe PDP will be stressing this point in weeks to come.

To my Southern and Middle-Belt brethren, the only chance to restructure Nigeria is to IMPLEMENT FULLY the outcome of the National conference.

Please, DO NOT VOTE ANYONE NOT READY TO IMPLEMENT THE CONFERENCE REPORT!!

Pa Buhari lied. He bankrolled three consecutive presidential elections and going for a fourth with...at least N1m?

Which bank did he borrow money from to build houses when he has had no job since 1984? At least N1M means from N1m to N999.99m. Is it safe then for GEJ To declare that he has AT LEAST N1M?

3. Promise passage of Petroleum Industry Bill 3 months into office.
4. East-West road is not rocket science...promise to pump money there and finish it in one year max. Nigeria can do it!
5. Promise completion of 2nd Niger bridge which took 4 yrs of time wasting to commence.
6. Pick your EFCC head NOW! Find a Nigerian that most find to be incorruptible.
7. Promise Nigerians Shekau's head on a stick in one year. Pay a surprise visit to a barracks in the Nort East to encourage the troops.
8. Campaign massively in the South East and South South. Most have not benefited anything from GEJ anyway. They just need to be convinced that you love them.

Please, someone should advice this man to STOP fooling himself and go and resign. If this type become governor he would be fighting his legislators. On a lighter note, what if GEJ locks the HOR and provide a place in Aso Rock for only PDP members to sit just like Amaechi and Oshomole are doing? Would APC be quiet about ithuh

Fact is we deceive ourselves and do not learn. Imagine if Tambulwal was APC and decamped to PDP, the house would have been burnt down. Like people have advised Tambulwal, as a Honourable, he should just resign because, he got the Speakership as a PDP rep. Immediately he decamped, he lost that position. Nigeria is bigger than any individual or group of rascals who call themselves our reps.

Anyway, I pity them. If the democracy is truncated, they are the ones who will lose. After all most of them have no other job.

Finally, anyone who blindly re-elect those fence-scaling and gate-crashing thieves ... shall not know peace. They should return to motor parks where they truly belong.

#THE leader of Bahamas Faith Ministries, Dr Myles Munroe, and his wife Ruth have been killed in a plane crash in Grand Bahama.

#The crash took place this afternoon and killed all nine people on board the private jet. The plane reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.

#The Department of Civil Aviation reported that the plane was a Lear 36 executive jet which departed the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) for the Grand Bahama International Airport.

#The plane left LPIA at 4.07pm with nine people on board and crashed while making an approach for landing at Grand Bahama International Airport at 5.10pm, the Department of Civil Aviation said.

This satellite image shows inclement weather over Freeport on Sunday.

#A police on source on the island previously said two were feared dead. However, police sources later confirmed that all those on board had been killed.

#The police source also said it was believed the group was heading to a conference hosted by Pastor Munroe.

#The identities of the other people on board have not yet been confirmed.

#The statement said while the department was advised of fatalities, it was awaiting confirmation from police on if there were any survivors.

#The Grand Bahama Airport Company Crash Fire Rescue Department responded to the incident, and the Police and Bahamas Air Sea Rescue (BASRA) are presently on the scene.

#The department said a full scale investigation will start tomorrow morning at daylight, which will include the Department of Civil Aviation Aircraft Accident Investigation Prevention Unit.

I think Buhari will lose again in 2015. As usual he will call out his fighters to come out and kill the "pigs and baboons". You could even hear his supporters calling PDP supporters "pigs" meaning that they should be slaughtered as such. In Islam pigs are detestable and must be destroyed. My suggestion to all those shouting "I'm a Christian" is that they should be ready to help quell the riot in Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, etc. because the latter is the obvious.

If we must effect a change, let us look for a candidate that is secular in outlook. A candidate who can accept the outcome of a freely contested election. For three consecutive runs now a supposed man of integrity could not accept one defeat and congratulate the winner, even after losing at supreme Court. That is not the hallmark of a man of integrity!

Integrity does not start and end in stealing and corruption alone. Integrity is much more than that. Buhari is not the change Nigeria needs now. He does not represent any future for Nigeria.
