Bring it on VP.

One thing I have been wondering about for some days now is why do some youths destroyed a court,
for what reasons?
And why looting private businesses that belongs to ordinary masses like them.
Most of these businesses took loans from banks to set up their businesses.
Now, everything is gone
To me, that is just insane and foolish.

Government should provide more jobs for our youths out there, for those who are ready to work legally, hardfacts.
Cos there are some that fraud and crime is all they have on their brains,
they are never ready to do any legitimate job,
but just scamming and fraud,
those ones, government can not do anything to help their criminally minds. Hardtruths.
Court people are their collaborator..see supreme court governor and governor that shoot people with helicopter and others who did very bad things to the masses during electio period been given a pass mark by the court...people are seeing and know these things...!!

PoliticsRe: EndSARS Protest: Fear Grips Politicians, Wealthy Nigerians Over Unabated Looting by Valkrie: 7:09am On Oct 26, 2020
bolaayenimo:
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

As wanton destruction and looting of public and private property by hoodlums continued unabated across the country, politicians, senior government officials, and party chieftains are reportedly running helter-skelter to avoid being victims of the rampaging mobs, Daily Independent has gathered.

Our correspondent gathered that some wealthy Nigerians are becoming increasingly alarmed by the growing lawlessness which was a direct aftermath of the #ENDSARS protests.

The crisis, which was a fall-out of the anger that trailed the shooting of some #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos, took a frightening dimension when hungry and angry Nigerians started turning their attention from government property towards the assets of the rich in their states.

One of the first victims of the unrestricted looting was Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos.

Despite the presence of soldiers, hoodlums ransacked the palace of the monarch, stripped everything bare, and went away with his staff of office.

The monarch was also ferried to safety by soldiers when the hoodlums attempted to burn down the palace.

The rampaging mob later went to the residence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), at Bourdillon, in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.

Initially, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, was said to have fled to France but he denied the claim during a visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday.

Other politicians who have suffered similar fate are serving and former federal lawmakers from Cross River State, including Senators Victor Ndoma-Egba and Gershom Bassey.

Senator Teslim Folarin, lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, equally suffered huge losses when a large crowd of people broke into his Ibadan residence and looted it completely.

The residence of Sanai Agunbiade, the majority leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, was not spared as it was stripped bare while the hoodlums made away with his vital documents.

Our correspondent gathered that attempts by some state governors to make use of soldiers was futile as they were overwhelmed by the angry mob.

The development has sent shivers down the spines of many politicians and wealthy Nigerians as they appeared hopeless.

Many of them have resorted to the use of thugs to secure their homes while others have employed the services of militia groups such as the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), hunters and local vigilante to secure their businesses and homes.

Confirming the development on Sunday, Iba Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, in an interview with Arise Television, monitored by Daily Independent said the pressure on him by politicians and wealthy Nigerians seeking the services of OPC members had been enormous.

Adams, who was the National Coordinator of the OPC before his elevation as Aare Ona Kakanfo, said he had been receiving calls from states outside Lagos, from politicians seeking the deployment of OPC members to their homes for security.

He said: “The pressure on me in the last one week is enormous; both from within and outside the country, and I tried to explain to them that there is a limit to what I can do about the internal security challenges.

“Those who do not know the importance of OPC would have done so now with what happened in the last three days.

“I slept by 4a.m today. Apart from the communities that engaged the services of the OPC to secure their environments, most of the police formations that were not burnt, about 50 percent of them, were jointly protected by the police and OPC.

Community leaders who before now did not know that OPC existed have called for the support of OPC members when these hoodlums started looting.

“Even in states like Oyo, Ondo, Osun, and others, some powerful politicians started calling me yesterday evening for assistance because they are afraid that their houses and businesses could be attacked.

“I don’t even think the number of OPC men we have on the ground can do what they were requesting us to do.”

Speaking on the solutions to the crisis, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport, said the best approach was for the government to appease young Nigerians and talk to them on the need to embrace peace.

Babatope, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said President Muhammadu Buhari’s broadcast to the nation further worsened the crisis rather than ameliorate it.

“I think what can be done by everyone, not just by the government, is for us to ensure that we sue for peace.

“We must appeal to all those who are making problems to desist and accept peace. Our leaders must also ensure that justice is done to all.

“The speech of the president has not helped the situation but that does not mean that he can still not remedy it and change it to appeasement.

“We must appease these angry people in order to achieve unity. The situation right now is very frightening and we need to put all hands together so that we don’t worsen the situation in the country.”

Sharing the same view, Monday Ubani, a former second vice president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), suggested that aside remorseful statements from politicians, practical steps must also be taken to drastically reduce the jumbo pay of politicians and channel the money into the development of the nation.

“I think the kind of statements that proceed from political office holders will go a long way. What we need to hear now is remorseful sayings from politicians who have messed up the lives of these young ones".

"Government must also take practical steps, especially cutting the salaries of political office holders. These guys are living in affluence while the majority of Nigerians are finding it difficult to eat one square meal a day.

“In the light of this, you still show them affluence and arrogance in the way you do things. I believe that these amendments that these young Nigerians are demanding must be immediate.

“I don’t like this arrogant way of approaching issues and then trying to hide facts and shift blames to those who are peacefully protesting,” he said.

PoliticsRe: Garba Shehu: Buhari Avoiding The Lekki Incident Until The Facts Are Established by Valkrie: 11:33pm On Oct 25, 2020
KEVIND:
President Muhammadu Buhari has asked parents and guardians not to encourage their children and wards to partake in the nationwide looting, destruction of property.

“Families must turn back children who bring home unaccounted goods, in the same way, wives must ask their husbands to return looted items brought home,” the President said.

This statement is coming just as the judicial panel of inquiry set up by the Lagos State Government and other states start sitting on Monday to look into the pillage that ensued following a rather abrupt halt to the #EndSARS protests across the country.

President Buhari in a statement on Sunday expressed his full support and optimism that it will assist the nation to give justice to peaceful protesters who lost their lives, security men who were murdered, and property owners whose assets were vandalized and looted.

The President, who said he had all along avoided going into a debate about the Lekki Toll Gate incidents until all the facts are established, appealed to the people all over the country to maintain peace and brotherhood as the machinery of the government and the wheel of justice turn against the perpetrators of murder, arson, stealing, rape, assault and malicious damage to public and private property.

The President advised that peace, brotherhood, and inter-communal harmony are central to our ethos and urges Nigerians “not to turn against one another in hate.”

He said it is important that the police and other security agencies move everywhere to restore calm and normalcy as quickly as possible.

President Buhari said his administration is working hard through many pragmatic ways to reduce the hardship of the millions of unemployed, poor citizens and those whose lives have been thrown into disarray by the harsh economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He warned that resort to widespread attacks and the organized looting and plundering of public and private property in many states are inimical to the public good and stand condemned.

“A government that has launched a massive crackdown on corruption, brought in strong laws for a decisive battle against corruption, pursues loot recovery at home and abroad, and taken strong decisions against those who thought they were above the law, will not fold its arms when an otherwise legitimate and peaceful protest is turning into free-for-all vandalism and looting.

“While the administration has, for its part, blocked so many means of looting public money in a war against corruption, it is the expectation that all civil authorities, community, and religious leaders in the country must rise against the organized looting and plunder we are witnessing in parts of the country.

“Families must turn back children who bring home unaccounted goods, in the same way, wives must ask their husbands to return looted items brought home.

“What is more, is that criminal actions as we have so far witnessed can weaken and erode the confidence of our people and that of foreign businesses in investing in the economy. Looting and vandalism will hurt trade and investment growth in our country, both large and small industries, as well as our hardworking people in the informal sectors of the economy.

“These incidents do not reflect well on any society. They are wrong and condemnable and should not be supported by reasonable members of society,” the statement partly read.

In line with this, President Buhari commended the decision of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice to prosecute 229 suspects arrested by the police for allegedly using the #EndSARS protest to destroy and loot public and private property.

The President said he and his administration have taken note of the grievances of the people.

“We have heard you loud and clear,” he said.

President Buhari added that his administration has shown a clear determination to take all necessary measures to address the complaints.

He however stressed that “the violence must stop”.

President Buhari also condemned hate messages and eviction notices to ethnic and religious groups asking Nigerians to take pride in the fact that our diverse people have been living with one another in harmony for ages.

He said the right of all citizens to live and work in any part of the country is a constitutional right and will be defended by the government.

Kogi Government Salutes Orderliness of People at Palliative Warehouse

By Femi Adi

The Kogi State Government wishes to express deep appreciation to the good people of the State who turned out at the State Warehouse to share the remaining palliatives that were reserved for women and youth groups after Government had distributed the bulk of the palliatives to all the 21 Local Government Areas.

According to the statement signed by Hon.Kingsley Fanwo ,the Kogi Commissioner for Information and Communications ,"The report at our disposal showed that Local Government authorities ensured the palliatives reached the masses and helped in ameliorating the hardship visited on our nation as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Statement further reads: "We urge our people to continue to stand tall in public conduct as Government will always put their welfare on the front burners.

" The Government of Kogi State also wishes to sound a note of warning to miscreants that all constitutional efforts will be geared towards protecting shop owners in the state as any violation of law and order will be met with superior resistance by Law Enforcement Agencies.

" Our people should go about their normal businesses as Kogi State remains safe."

All those supporting the looting of innocent or allegedly guilty people simply because they are "politicians" or "wealthy" or "in power" instead of allowing the law to take its cause will soon have their own share of the anarchy.

The consequence is the domino effect it will result in. Those looting and destroying things DO NOT LOVE YOU.. They don't give a rat's ass whether you survive or not. They are opportunists. They are Machiavellians.. They'll loot your business if the opportunity comes.

I have been WARNING my brothers and sisters about this, both directly and indirectly, but some of them have refused to listen. Instead, they unleashed all manner of disgusting things on me for daring to speak the truth. This same thing happened when I warned against continuing with the protest after the government's prompt response. But God has vindicated me. Everything I said has happened.

Now, I am here with another WARNING.. PLEASE my brothers and sisters, let's desist from aiding and abetting this nonsense currently going on. Let's condemn ALL looters and arsonists, irrespective of who they are looting or whose properties they are destroying. If we don't distance ourselves from their evil activities, they'll turn to the poor, due to the domino effect..

Some dark-hearted politicians have also taken advantage of this wanton activity to settle political scores. We shouldn't give them that enabling environment to thrive.

Enough is enough! Let's put an end to this madness!

May God guide us.

My brother, God bless you for this. Unfortunately, most Nigerians hate the truth. They'll accuse you of supporting politicians or people in government, but little do they know.. Little do they know that once the looters are done with the rich and tasteless, we, the poor, are the next..

Please it's high time we began to criticize it. No matter what, we SHOULD NEVER DEFEND LOOTERS AND ARSONISTS.. Enough is enough!

God bless Nigeria.

SATANNIST:
yes the endsars caused havoc which saddens me. but one thing i am happy about is that it exposed the fake traditional religions, it exposed babalawos and jazz and proved that they are scam and powerless.
how can youth break into the oba palace and take his staff of office and wear his shows and wear his crown and sit on his throne and nothing happened to them like they always made people believe like the Nigerian nollywood movies also made eople belive.
most times, we don't need to preach our religion to people, we need to act it out.
if Babalawos and all the so-called gods had powers, immediately those guys held that staff, sango or oduduwa or any of the gods for strike am na. abi where dey drunk and sleeping. i swear if that happened, many Christians, Muslims, agnostics, atheist , Hindus, satanist will have converted to African traditional religion. these Babalawos should be arrested for scamming Nigerians for ages.
ok, let's look at it from another angle. so people were coming to destroy a whole oba palace which is believed to be the seat of all juju and the juju no tell am say people dey come? common.
ok let's look at it from another angle, these people claim to be able to see things, why cant they see who carried the staff and where it is.? do you know how many nigerians have been scammed using this trick of hey come and i will show u who stole your car or money or shit. why can't you practicalize it now. how about the mirror wey una say una dey fit use to see who commit crime?
traditionalist, obas, chiefs, babalawos and all others need to apologize for misleading the youth.
this is an economic crime and they need to be arrested by efcc
i dont want to talk of the covid 19 stuffs found in the palace.
i wish i was in naija to join this protest
Guy, you are confused..mixing some fraudulent oba with traditional religion and babalawos...these are three different things...more so you must understand that any traditional ruler who turn his back on the people or decide to be anti people always pay the price...no exeption..!!

Traditional religion and balawo are two separate things...if you must know...!!
