owobokiri: This is a very good idea... If we don't go to Libya to get them, after several years of training in Libya with Libya's vast state infrastructure, ISIS will be formidable enough to start spreading rapidly across Africa. With their striking success in Iraq, most African states with their fledgling armies will be of no match.. Tackling ISIS in Libya NOW is the best way forward... But again is the Americans going to like that? ISIS is a very good destabilizing force. And the destabilization of Africa fits Americas foreign policy drives.., so? The fact remains that ISISI posses more threat to African stability than boko haram & the earlier African nations like Egypt, south Africa, Nigeria & perhaps Kenya join hand & stop them from taking total control of Libya the better. Anyone with the knowledge of what is has done in Syria & Iraq will never say ISISI is not a threat to Nigeria. ISISI is an invincible army of the dead, the earlier we root them out of African soul in this infancy, the better. |
Politics › Re: Abubakar Shekau: Jonathan Last Election Trump Card Against Buhari by VANHELLSING: 10:08am On Feb 24, 2015 |
egift: With all PDP's attacks against the person Buhari and the APC campaign to defeat Jonathan and his party the PDP failing to turn the table and make bright the fortunes of Goodluck Jonathan's quest to stay put in Aso Rock against the increasing desire of Nigerians to vote for Change and turn a new leaf. President Jonathan is now left with his last Trump Card - Use Boko Haram to smear the good name of General Buhari.
From the look of things, this may have be regarded as a last resort. Below is the unavailing of President Jonathan's last Trump Card against Buhari:
1. As suspected, Boko Haram crisis is a political wildcard the PDP have reserved and groomed for a long time coming. The latitude given, sometimes totally ignoring them, our soldier abandoning weapons, lack of re-enforcement during military operations were all efforts to keep the tempo of fear in our hearts. How about Boko Haram striking any time the government is deep in on failure or the other?
2. When Jonathan got $1,000,000,000 ($1b) loan to fight Boko Haram and spent it in paying for the ceasefire that could not hold, it was a deal done with Shekau, brokered by Chadian President. We all saw the picture. But the ceasefire did not hold because some Boko Haram commander refused signing up to the deal. https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2014/09/Screen-Shot-2014-09-11-at-8.25.19-PM.png
3. As stated before, Boko Haram will not be eliminated until it is used against the Opposition. And now that the election outcome does not look good for the president, and desperation setting in, Boko Haram will be a vital tool - either by them attacking the opposition, framing APC leaders or Jonathan brandishing his name as the one who captured Shekau.
4. As Abacha was quoted to say, "Any crisis that lasts beyond a couple of days, has the hand and support of the government, in one way or the other". Boko Haram has lasted more than 5yrs with President Jonathan. https://cdn.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/gumsu-tweet.png
4. By denying INEC security for the elections, President Jonathan the Commander-In-Chief and his Officers in the Military have forced the hands of INEC to delay the election and buy Jonathan enough time to execute his last Act. The 6-weeks delay, military chiefs leading the charge, the new found cheat-beating and boasting from the Presidency of capturing Shekau "ALIVE", all point to the fact that this Trump Card is going as planned.
5. Discussing this yesterday with some friends, many believe that Boko Haram leader should be already in their custody by now for the plan to work.
6. The next important decision in the Trump Card against the APC is "How Do You Unavailable Shekau?" Should he be picked up like Saddam in a hole? Or the "Navy Seal" style with Osama? Whatever the plan, the aim is to dissuade voters from voting Buhari (especially among Christians). Which plan will get the largest electoral votes?
Few facts remain true, Boko Haram has stayed this long and over 20,000 innocent Nigerians dead because it is politically motivated or hijacked. It does not matter who it is. Also the fact that Jonathan and his military Chiefs will deal more blow on the entire Boko Haram structure in less than 6weeks than it has in 5years makes one wonder - WHY?
As this Trump Card plays out, Nigerians will troop out on 28th March to vote for the Candidates of their choice. The person with the highest votes and most states won will become the next President. Cheap Propaganda has proven not to be effective in this election.
God bless Nigeria! Egift This poorly written conjectures makes no sense.....smh |

acidtalk: If Buhari was President of Nigeria and every week he is gallivanting from NASFAT to Quareeb, from Quareeb to Ansarudeen, from there to Ahmadiyya, from there to Izala from there to the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and from there to the National Mosque in Abuja and from there to the Ilorin Central Mosque and from there to the Yobe Central Mosque and then from there to Lagos Central Mosque, then to the central mosques in Ibadan, Kano and Maiduguri then again he shells out billions of naira to imams, what would Nigerians say? What would Nigerians say if Buhari is the president now and he takes the jets of the presidential fleet to pack imams to Mecca? What would Nigerians say if Buhari was in the mosque and a grand imam from the north accuses southern tribes of being terrorists and Buhari is right there in the mosque and he says nothing? Hypocrisy has melted the brains of many in this country. Jonathan is a divisive leader using a very volatile means to push his sinister agenda. So answer me, what if Buhari was doing all this? And he makes sure the media is always covering every visit to the mosque? This same general was in Abuja some days ago for Friday prayers at Wuse, the imam did not even announce that Buhari was in the mosque and many were not aware he was in the same mosque with them. He had his prayers and left without any noise. Jonathan, I repeat, is a divisive figure and it is the actions of leaders like him that lead to catastrophic consequences. As for the hypocrites of this nation defending every stupid thing Oga Ade does because of tribe or religion, na you go tire for this one wey we start so. — Na Wetin de pain this one ni?, if u & bokoharii like jump from mosque to makranta to amajiri schools, it is none of our fuccking business.....smh |

Not all dis criminals who left Islam cos they cud not put with d bluntness in d religion! Did u ever factor this, while the number is increasing in Europe it is drastically decreasing in middle east & Africa, either through wars, ethnic cleansing & Christianity gaining more access to areas formally hostile to Christianity, as a result war & destabilization. |

It is something of joy to see well educated, the elders & well traveled yorubas support this administration that is on course to restructure this country. Meanwhile the less educated are the ones shouting change. If these illiterate yorubas on every cyberspace shouting change have any atom of respect & foresight they will not be in conflicting course with their elders, I was told that what elders see while seating down, a child will not see it while on top of month kilimanjero.
This present crop of yoruba youths on the bandwagon of the "CHANGE" charade are but a disappointment to the philosophy of the great Awolowo, who in his lifetime championed for restructuring of this country & political freedom of his people. |

These old, close-to-grave old men have no qualms mortgaging the future of Nigeria for a few thousands. As a matter of fact, give them a bag of rice & a goat, then watch them sing your praises like Celine Dion.
This attitude is disgusting!! I loathe these old Igbo men, they're a cancer to the progress of Nigeria.
I'm Igbo by the way, and if I had my way, I'd get rid of these foolish old men. Hehehe, 50calbre has suddenly become igbo because of election? Lol.
