Ruben Dias has completed a £62 million ($79m) move to Manchester City, signing a six-year deal after having impressed with Portuguese giants Benfica.
Nicolas Otamendi has also completed a move in the opposite direction to Benficain a deal worth £14m ($17m).
Dias, 23, who could cost a further £3.3m with add-ons, says he cannot wait to work with City boss Pep Guardiola, a man he believes can improve his all-round game.

“Their success speaks for itself. They have been the dominant team in Englandover the last few years, playing an attacking brand of football which I feel suits my own game.

Dias is City's third signing of the transfer window following deals for fellow centre-back Nathan Ake and winger Ferran Torres and ends a long wait to replace former captain Vincent Kompany, who left in May 2019.

The defender, who could make his debut at Leeds on Saturday, won the Portuguese title with Benfica after coming through the Portugalclub’s academy and says both sides share the same desire to win trophies.

“The competition is different and here the opponents will be a level higher, but the mentality of the club is the same, it is win or win,” he said.
“I am a player that loves to win, a player for the team, for the fans, a player that loves this family spirit which I've felt a lot since I have been here.
“I am an aggressive player and I love what I do. I love the game and without getting into too much detail, because it is something you will see when I start playing, the most important thing to say is I love to win and that is the thing you most need to know about me.”

Dias has won 19 caps for Portugal and will join up with international team-mates Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo at the Etihad Stadium.
“We have been in touch, not just this year but for the last two years perhaps,” he added.
“Obviously, the talks were amazing because you only hear amazing things about the club and about the environment.
“When the word came, I was just really happy to be able to join.”

A new centre-back has been City's priority all summer, with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, Sevilla's Jules Kounde and Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez among alternatives considered.
Director of Football Txiki Begiristain believes they have got the right man having watched Dias's progress for the past two years.

“Ruben is a player we have admired for some time and we have been impressed with how he has progressed at Benfica,” Begiristain said.
“He has developed into a real leader and as a defender, he has all the attributes we are looking for. He is strong in the air, good in one vs one situations and technically he is very good, so we are confident he can thrive in our system.
“He is another talented addition to the squad and someone who is only going to get better working under Pep.”

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested four persons for unlawfully been in possession of a human skull in Odogbolu, Odogbolu local government area of the state.
The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, said the suspects were arrested on Thursday 24th September 2020.
The suspects, according to the statement are Muyideen Tolubi, Niyi Folorunso, Sonubi Taiwo, and Remilekun Folorunso were arrested following the information received by the police in Odogbolu division that some people were digging a grave with the aim of removing already buried corpse who was not in any way related to them.
The statement read, “Upon the information, the DPO Odogbolu division, CSP Afolabi Yusuf led his detectives to the scene but the suspects have already removed the head of the corpse and left”.

“The police there and then embarked on an intelligence-based investigation which led to the arrest of the couple, Niyi and Remilekun Folorunso as well as Muyideen Tolubi”.
“The three of them confessed being the persons that dug the grave and removed the head of the corpse”.
“They later took detectives to Ikenne where the fourth person who asked them to bring the head for the ritual purpose was apprehended”.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.

Jurgen Klopp expects an "open race" as multiple teams compete for Premier League glory this season, insisting it will not just be a shoot-out between Liverpooland Manchester City.
The German brought the top-flight trophy back to Anfield for the first time in 30 years last term, with the Reds finishing 18 points clear of Pep Guardiola's side, who themselves were 15 ahead of Manchester Unitedand Chelsea.
Despite that huge gap, Klopp believes it will be a close-run thing this term, with the Liverpool boss including Tottenhamand Monday's opponents Arsenal in the mix.

The Gunners finished a distant eighth, 43 points shy of the champions' incredible tally of 99, and yet Klopp considers Mikel Arteta's side, who beat Liverpool in the Community Shield on spot-kicks, challengers.
"They came eighth because they did not have a time to sort the situation," he said, referencing the fact Arteta was not appointed until December.
"They were not the eighth best team in the league, they could've qualified easily for Europe [via the league], if not even the Champions League.
"The Premier League and these teams are too good, you can't decide the season before it starts. It just doesn't work like this.
"Man City, I think maybe people thought they could have some struggles at Wolves because Wolves are really good...and in the second half they could have got a point.
"Nobody is safe from this kind of thing, so we have to work incredibly hard. And over the other teams we have no influence. When we face them, we want to beat them.
"It's an open race, Chelsea will be there, [Manchester] United will be there, Arsenal, Tottenham – these teams will always be there.
"There are tough moments for us and other teams and it's about how you react and are you doing it in the right way.
"It's a marathon, not a sprint, and you have to go through a lot of moments. I don't know why today we talk about winning the league, I have no idea who will win but I know a lot of teams will try."
