Christianity EtcRe: What Will Man Be Doing In Heaven/Paradise? by vanndubi:
From comments so far, it is clear that humans were not designed to in the heavens with God. Psalm 115:16 says:"The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men".

As for the life in the new earth (2 Peter 3:13- Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness), human would lead the peaceful life that has eluded humans since the fall of Adam.

Psalm 37:9-11 confirms that, it says: "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace"

BusinessRe: The Bricklayer’s Explanation To Oil Price Fall, Naira Devaluation & Everything by vanndubi:

You two have asked good questions, was debating this with an oil analyst in London couple of days ago.

Let me begin by prompting

1) Isn't it a possibility that the fuel being sold is the one in stock that was already purchased at previous price levels, thus making current movement in crude oil prices to have no impact on prices of refined products in Nigeria?

2) How long do players in Nigeria store refined products before they order new stock?

3) Perhaps the subsidy is on existing/already purchased fuel and things might change if crude prices remain low?

Let's look at this

Before crude drop
Actual cost of fuel per litre - 137 Naira, say
Nigerians paid 97 Naira
So subsidy is 40 Naira

After crude drop
Actual cost of fuel per litre - 100 Naira, say
Nigerians still pay 97 Naira
Subsidy should be 3 Naira cheesy

Thus, in this scenario, we should be saving 40 Naira - 3 Naira if Nigerians still pay 97 Naira per litre.

So, whichever way we look at it, if actual cost is 100 (not sure) and Nigerians still pay 97, then subsidy has to drop, unless Nigerians are made to pay considerably less than 97 Naira/litre - an event I believe is very highly unlikely.

Government can however argue that the subsidy is on products already purchased. This prompted my first three questions.

Let's brainstorm and provide counter ideas!
When the going is good, the masses bear the burden of this country. When the going is rough we still bear the heavier burden. Even when we pay our taxes, we contribute money from our individual pocket to do our street roads, buy fuel as if we run mini industries etc.

I will suggest that when the buy "new stock", let FG continue with 50% subsidy while we pay the balance (pump price will be #77/ litre)

They have budgeted for the subsidy. If the save 100%, the masses will lose both ways. They said the saved over $150 billion from sugar importation yet they are seeking $1 billion to fight BH.

Any person in the house that can give me a bricklayer's explanation on why petrol pump price has refused to come down even with the drastic reduction in the price of crude oil. And it is very likely the FG is still subsidizing petroleum products.

I am kind of confused cos the prices of petroleum products have gone done in the US, China etc expect in Nigeria

jewish symbol- star of David
Star of David comprises of an inverted triangle superimposed on an upstanding triangle. The symbol of the new naira comprises of two rectangles not two triangles. What we have on the naira can not even be called a star

Now I see why ppl fail simple spatial test. Just in case you don't know, triangles have 3 sides while rectangles have 4 sides.

Why use ur ignorance to generate a debate like this (12 pages and counting) why?

Please educate me. If Mark doesn't forgive Cheche, what exactly can or will he do to him? The guy is in the house of rep while Mark is in the senate albeit chairman of the national assembly but he has no direct control on what happen on the floor of the house.

In 2007, during the struggle to remove speaker Eteh, some members engaged in a fist cuff on the floor of the house and in the process, a member representing Katsina who also happened to be a confidant of the sitting president Yar'adua slumped and died. What happened? Nothing.
Actually, lawmakers are backed by law to say or do anything without the long arm of the law touching them as long as it happens on the floor of the house.

I guess that's why Mark had no choice but to forget the "honourable"

Thief Obasanjo's shameless nature is to blame everybody and everything but himself.
He will say he blames his predecessor Abacha for the poor state of infrastructure he met (yet he was the one who rushed to close down Abacha's PTF which was doing a good job of improving infrastructure).

He also blames his successors YaraDua and GEJ for "shelving his plans" for infrastructural development.

So this shameless foolish kleptomaniac is telling us that all he managed to do in eight years despite looting tens of billion dollars, is to make plans for infrastructural development for his successors to carry out.

Thief Obasanjo is not only a foolish, shameless, hypocritical kleptomaniac but he is also a compulsive liar who came to destroy Nigeria which is why he hand -picked incompetent successors.

I think OBJ might be right on $9. If crude sold for $17 per barrel , would govt collect of it ?

He did said that when they started getting money, they started getting money, they started the NIPP.

The man has "little future " but he seems more concerned about the future than most ppl that have the future ahead of them .

We should take note that the standard requirement is 1000MW per 1 million ppl (for Nigeria to be industrialized it needs 170,000MW) and that Nigeria's population is a constant is that OBJ's mathematics

Emmajoe96:
Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem with the quality of after-sales service I am recieving from Hyundai Motors.

I purchased a brand new Hyundai Elantra sometimes in 2011 and I lost the spare key to the car more than a year ago. Since then I have been trying to procure another spare key from the Company. Six months ago, I took the car to their service center at Orile and after keeping the car for the entire day, they simply told me they did not have the parts from the key.

I have been calling Hyundai every month for the past six months and they are yet to procure the parts for the spare key. This is very unfair because if I did not have the other key my car would have been grounded for God knows how long. Again one cannot duplicate the key locally because it is a smart key with embedded computer code.

Is there anyone with a similar experience? My advise to all Hyundai users is to be careful with your keys because misplacing it could mean the end of your vehicle.
It can be duplicated locally. I would have directed you to someone if you were in PH. He cut and programmes keys. Ask around your area, I believe you'll find someone who does.

Minister taking it up after 1 full month (I no laugh). If they can't be everywhere, let them close those embassies and save the "diesel money" they give them.

Can you imagine your 17 year old son being treated like a criminal in faraway Russia and you can't get Nigerian embassy there to help. It was the boy's school that helped.

Joshua's case wouldn't have been known if not for the media. We'll see how it goes, to know if FG now gives a dam*

When foreigners don't get a dam* about nigerian citizens and their passport, it is because our own government don't get a dam* about us

Android seems to consume data cos some apps run in the background.

To cut that, go to setting, then to data usage and set limit. Tap on apps with high data usage and see if the app consumes data in the background. If it consumes, check restrict background data esp if you don't want it to run in the background.

Typical culprit is Google play but you can uncheck it when you want to download. #TeamAndroid

Leopantro: ‘National Hospital has no quarantine centre’

AUGUST 9, 2014 BY SUNDAY ABORISADE AND ADE ADESOMOJU, ABUJA

The Federal Government has yet to create a quarantine centre for the treatment of persons suspected to have been infected with the deadly Ebola virus disease.

Spokesperson for the National Hospital, Abuja, Dr. Tayo Haastrup, who stated this in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents, however, said that the Federal Ministry of Health had established centres in collaboration with some private health facilities in the nation’s capital city.
It's a pity! The condition our leaders, past and present, have put us is really pathetic. NNPC clinic has been shut down because it admitted just one suspected carrier.

Good example for Nigeria is Shell. Shell clinics Nigeria have isolation rooms that are air tight, pressurized to control air movement, equipped with sensor taps and so on.

If only Nigeria can be humble enough to learn from the Shell system, Nigeria will be better than what we have now
