This is signifies another beginning of Gov. Fayose's problems in Ekiti State. There is serious treachery afoot, and i pity Fayose. APC won't allow him lead Ekiti in one piece.

lalasticlala: Six persons were on Thursday burnt to death at Anyamkor community in Gboko Local government area of Benue State after inferno engulfed their house around 11 pm.
DAILY POST learnt that the affected persons include a father, mother and their four children.
According to an eyewitness, “neighbours were able to rescue others living in the same building, thinking every body was out, only to discover this morning that a whole family has been burnt beyond recognition”.
The police had taken the remains of the deceased persons to Gboko mortuary.
Two female undergraduate students of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, Friday, were nearly lynched to death by irate members of the public when they were suspected and accused of being suicide bombers.
The students who were dressed in hijab (Islamic apparel for women) were returning to resume school when some members of the public at Central mosque Minna raised alarm that the two ladies were suspected to be suicide bombers.
Eye witness said that the two victims who were dressed covering all their bodies and faces were trying to walk across the frontage of the mosque when the jumat prayers were about to be said.
Their mode of dressing and the bags they were carrying attracted the attention of other worshippers and this led to the raising of alarm but for Police intervention the two ladies would have been lynched to death. One of the victims was injured by the irate crowd and she is currently receiving treatment from Police Clinic in Minna.
When contacted Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Gambari confirmed the incident but said that the two victims were wrongly accused.
“When the attention of our men on duty was drawn to the ladies, they were subjected to bodily search and their bags also whisked and nothing incriminating were found on them. We were able to establish that the two of them are returning students of FUT Minna. Their mode of dressing made people to suspect them.
“It took the timely intervention of our men as members of the public had started to beat up one of the ladies leading to the point of sustaining some injuries and she is being treated at the Police Clinic,” Gambari state.
The Police spokesman, who decried the mob action of members of the public, advised that Police should be allowed to do their work after complaint must have been lodged.

Tokunbohkinibig: Nobody is talking about somebody, that is allowed you know. It is a natural thing for MR NOBODY to talk about MR SOMEBODY.
You ve all failed to realise that Amechi is a potential president or VP after APC first tenure in office. They must have zoned presidency and VP to each regions for peace to reign and that is Why Northerner was given the presidential slot now while Yoruba was given VP. The two regions were given these slots for obvious reasons.
I can assure you that when it's d turn of South South to present their candidate for either VP or presidency, d battle would be between Osho Baba and Amechi. And trust me, having washed his hands(Amechi) and dined with elders, Amechi ll easily win the primary against Osho.
Amechi is only Wetting the ground for future purpose
I laugh in a British assent and say "Wickedly funny!"
koife: I have noticed with a bit of pains that prayer works on people and not me!
I have had the opportunity to pray and intercede for people and it comes out positive, but one surprising fact is that I hardly get answers when I pray for myself...
It all started during my degree years; I will teach and even help people during examination but often time their result comes out better than mine.
Fast forward to 2days ago. I prayed for someone who was koboless, to have a surprise gift to the tune of hundred of thousands for a project she scrambled for. Less than 56 hours later, she got it.
I personally dropped someone's CV to be considered for bank job and less than 20hours letter the person received a call for interview.
And today I prayed and my kid sis was given a visa....where as I have tried severally without succeeding.
This, amongst other bizzare experiences have become a cause for concern.
Matured advice only please!
The thought process is the answer. With all due respect, your thought process towards yourself is that of impossibility, failure and the likes, that is why your prayers towards yourself don't work. While the thought process of those you pray for is positive and they channel it towards possibility of their prayers coming through. You really ought to change your negative thought process for the positive ones. Here's what will help, read THINK AND GROW RICH BY NAPOLEON HILL and visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn_eg3xDp8s
HugeMac: CHILDISH RANTING OF A OLD SENILE ILLITERATE, PEOPLE SHOULD IGNORE THIS MAN , HE HAS BEEN MADE USELESS IN PDP , THATS WHY HE IS CRYING LIKE A BABY
Cyberbaze: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has again criticized President Goodluck Jonathan saying that because of his inaction, the Chibok Girls will never be rescued. Obasanjo also spoke about his book saying that everything he has written about Jonathan, he has also said to him face-to-face. The former President stated this and more during an interview with Rosie Collyer of Radio France Internationale (RFI)
Excerpts below: RC: Why have you chosen to publish your autobiography now, when Nigeria is politically charged ahead of February's general election?
OO: You used the word politically charged. There is no time Nigeria is not politically charged. One thing one can say about Nigeria is, since independence we have had some high ebbs or low ebbs but Nigeria has been very, very politically active. So the question of which is the opportune time or auspicious time for a book to be published, it is entirely up to the publisher and of course the reading public.
I completed writing the book, which took me about 18 months, about four months ago and I gave it to the publisher. And the publisher decided that after reading the book that he would like to publish it before the elections. RC: Who is Buruji Kashamu and why do you mention him in your autobiography?
OO: He is someone who has been indicted in America […] And for a political party and for the president to be hobnobbing with him I believe leaves much to be desired, and I said that [in my autobiography]. RC: You are apparently critical of President Goodluck Jonathan in your autobiography. Why?
OO: Whatever I have said in my book, I have said it to President Jonathan one-on-one. I have said it in public statements that I have made over the past two or three years. So there is nothing in my book that is new that I have said about President Jonathan. RC: One area where you have criticised President Jonathan is his handling of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls. What advice did you give the president?
OO: It is unfortunate. What I have said to Jonathan before and what I have said also in my letter - and I have said it several times - is that, once active and concrete action was not taken within 48 hours, a period of 72 hours was already too late. We will never be able to get those girls again. And the story of those girls will go on for the next 30 years. Some of them will come out when they are adults or they will be sent back when they are pregnant by those who have captured them. If anyone is thinking of being able to get those girls released intact, he must be day dreaming. RC: Your autobiography is called My Watch in reference to your presidencies. What were you most proud of during your time as president?
OO: Well what was I proud of, is when I came in [as president] many people thought that I would be the last president of Nigeria, because after me Nigeria will be no more. I was proud that I was not the last president of Nigeria because after me there have been two presidents and there will always be presidents of Nigeria and Nigeria will continue to exist. And then, of course, we fought corruption. RC: Can you give some examples of corrupt people who faced justice?
OO: Oh yes, we took an inspector general of police to court. We took the president of the Senate to court. We took my minister for secondary schools and my minister of internal affairs to court. We took a few permanent secretaries to court. And we took a few governors to court. And then of course we recovered well over 1.25 billion dollars from the Abacha family. RC: Could you have done more to fight corruption?
OO: No, I did all that could be done. Fighting corruption is not a one-day affair or a one-night affair, it must be continuous.
I have always known this and told people who care to listen. I really like people who are real, i like this man OBJ. Though not a saint, but he is real.
@op, why dont u show ur genuiness by offering this assistance for free if u really want to help? All u guys want is someone to pay cash into ur accts. Meanwhile if this thing doesnt work, u guys dont offer any refunds.
DonaldGenes: Op, You literally forgot to add "Your fellow girls asking us for our joystick indirectly on BBM? Some goes like this " Can I see what you're carrying about? So blisteringly awkward
Bazinga: PDP o. they want to bankrupt nigeria. 2015 is behind the corner, here is an advice for u all
APC will do worse things than PDP, they are all politicians& alike. Debt burden is international& because of man's natural greed there is no way to get out of it.
lalasticlala: Anybody that is a graduate or an undergraduate of any Nigerian tertiary institution would readily tell you about cohabitation among students of higher institutions. It's kinda common to see a guy and a babe live together in an apartment either rented by the guy or rented by the babe; they live together like husband and wife, the girl cooks for him, that is if the girl can cook o. They do everything married couples do. Many of those that cohabit in schools, their parents are never aware of this. If for any reason either of his/her parents or sibling is to visit, they will take care of things perfectly so that the visiting parent/sibling wouldn't know what is happening.
Most often, such relationships end after one of the lovers graduates. Then the one that still has few years to graduate would invite another to cohabit with him/her. So such relationships most often end in school.
But on rare occasions, those that cohabited in school may still get married. But the chance of this happening is very slim due to a lot of factors. When I was in school, there was this guy in Optometry department, he had a very beautiful damsel as his live-in-lover. They did everything together and lived like husband and wife. The guy was few years ahead of her, so he graduated before her and his dad sent him abroad for further studies or something and within 2 years, his dad told him to marry because he was the first son, and the guy came back and married that same beautiful girl that he was living with while in school. I think this was possible because the guy's Dad has much money.
So share your cohabitation experiences in higher institutions. For those that didn't cohabit while in school, also share what you knew about it and your thought on this.
Ol' boy, back in da days, when todays men were lil' boys& todays women were lil' girls. Mr Nwosu& his family preparing for Christmas, how can i forget.
etunoman76: Nigeria’s controversial preacher, T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), has declared that the killer disease Ebola currently ravaging West Africa is from ‘the pit of hell’.
According to Mr. Joshua, who, on Sunday, led his congregation in prayer for the nations and individuals affected by the disease, time was up for the ‘strange ailment’ and life would soon return to normal for the affected countries.
“The so called strange ailment coming from three nations – Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia… satan is the manufacturer, the source,” Joshua defiantly declared to the faithful.
“Begin to capture the covenant of that strange sickness,” the cleric then enjoined the congregation. “Command that strange ailment to come out and go to the pit of hell, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
“Because of Christ, people of Liberia, Sierra Leona, Guinea, you are released,” Mr. Joshua said, accompanied by the vibrant congregants in a service believed to have been viewed by millions worldwide through Joshua’s Christian television station Emmanuel TV.
The controversial pastor boldly declared that God had spoken to him to pray for the nations affected by Ebola as its reign of fear was close to closure.
The pastor, cited to be one of Africa’s most influential individuals, decried the toll Ebola had taken on society, especially in the areas of kinship and kindness.
“People are no longer their brother’s keepers because of this strange disease,” he lamented, adding that if someone publicly collapsed from any form of sickness, people would likely abandon the invalid as opposed to lending a helping hand.
“Once satan takes love out of people, he has taken life. Satan is not happy that we are one; he is against oneness. He knows when we are not one, we can be defeated,” he fumed.
“The weapon satan is afraid of is love,” Mr. Joshua continued. “Satan can fight anything but he cannot fight love.”
The cleric then cited a poignant question asked by Jesus in Luke 18:8: “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
He added that the prayer Jesus offered for His followers’ faith not to fail indicated challenges would arise in the last days which would make many ‘abandon their faith’, Ebola being one of such challenges.
Mr. Joshua made headlines this week in local and international media for sending 4,000 bottles of ‘Anointing Water’ to the Ebola-stricken nation of Sierra Leone on the request of the government, alongside $50,000 in humanitarian aid.
Last week, Mr. Joshua debunked a rumour attributed to him that went viral in Nigeria claiming that bathing in salt water could prevent the disease.
With over 1.2million followers on Facebook and 90,000 YouTube subscribers, the preacher has a huge social media following.
etenyong: ave a Comment Ikot Unah community in Ukanafun Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday peacefully protested over 10 years of power outage in their area. The protesters, who were mostly youths and students on holiday, went through some of the major streets before heading to the village palace where they narrated their grievances. The village head, Chief Jimmy Umoren, told our correspondent that for the past 10 years, the village has not seen electricity for a minute. “There has been no sign of electricity from either the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria or the new Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution, not even for a minute. “Our hope of getting electricity is in comatose; there is no government officials, both from the state and the local government council at Ukanafun have come to our aid. In the last election, we voted for this government massively. “The state government said it has attained 85 per cent electricity coverage of the state through the Inter-ministerial Direct Labour Projects while records have shown that the Ministry of Rural Development has also electrified about 2,209 villages out of 2,671 communities in the state to meet government target and vision of providing uninterrupted power supply in the state. “But the same gesture accorded in other villages in the state has not been extended to us at Ikot Unah of which we feel very bad. “What we cannot tell is whether our community has been included in the list of the area that the state government prided itself to have provided electricity for,” he said. He stated that the community had also made many representations to the state governor, Mr. Godswill Akpabio through the office of their council chairman in Ukanafun but to no avail. He added that the community had also visited management of PHED in Uyo, the officials there promised them that they would be at the community to check what prevented them from getting electricity. He noted that the PHED has been to the community to correct the defect and that the entire community was still in darkness. He said, “For a country like Nigeria with a total population of about 170 million people with huge economic potentialities, the provision of quality and steady power supply is still a nightmare, especially in a small community such as ours. What a shame!” he exclaimed. Umoren stated that the only health centre built by the government six years ago has not been put to use for lack of electricity. www.punchng.com/news/akwa-ibom-community-protests-10-years-of-power-outage/
Well they ought to be given a proper welcome to Nigeria, where no infrastructure works. what a shame!
Abeg those 29 ebola patients better remain in Liberia o. No more travel to Nigeria abeg. We have suffered enof; Boko haram, civil strife, corruption, poverty and the hosts, now ebola, na wetin sef?
databoy247: It is not known for sure as at the time of writing what prompted the barring, but it may be connected to an inquiry by the UK Charitable Commission, which, according to Daily Mail and Guardian, accused Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel UK branch of ‘cynically exploiting supporters’.
The Daily Mail report revealed that Oyedepo’s Church ‘received £16.7 million in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return’ and that ‘Followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments, and are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness’.
hansad: Significance of hand sanitization they did was tell Nigerian public to maintain sane and clean habits in this season of ebola. They did not tell you that washing hands with sanitizers prevents viral infection like ebola. Only dimwits would read it like you did. You insinuated that Jonathan with a doctorate degree in Zoology, an Architect Sambo and a Senior Legal Advocate Fashola, do not know the difference between virus and bacteria. And you are the one that knows. Wake up, Nigeria's leaders are not all dimwits.
And see what the land you gave up your life for has become...
Guy this particular statement u wrote made tears well up in my eyes. What happened to Nigeria? Where did it all go wrong? Why RIP Brother Sam. Imo state is proud of u. I watched that match& saw sam slump on the field. The news that followed was devastating.
This is good news. But we have to realize that this drug is still at its experimental phase. But my question is when will Africans learn to stand on their own, begin to invest on research and development.
