PoliticsRe: Hoodlums May Take Over Nigeria – Afenifere by vanunu: 5:53pm On Dec 13, 2012
The fact remains that what ever happens in a society is the product of that society, 'You do not plant cassava and harvest yam' never. Nigerians should examine their conscience, especially civil and public servants, 99% of them are simply unrepentant criminals, and they think that these young men that engage in this evil act of kidnapping don't know

PoliticsRe: AMCON SEIZES ASSETS OF IFEANYI UBAH AND CAPITAL OIL. by vanunu: 9:11am On Nov 17, 2012
The govt. is to be blamed for this, for such a company that accounts for more than 30% of our fuel import and employs a lot of Nigerians to just go under like that, is very bad. Let the government pay Ubah his money.
CrimeNigerian Female Drug Suspect, 73, Dies In Brazil by vanunu(op): 12:11pm On Nov 16, 2012
BY OKEY NDIRIBE

A 73-year old Nigerian woman, held for suspected involvement in drug peddling by Brazilian authorities has died in a hospital in that Country.

Mrs. Hafsat Awosade, a grandmother, was reportedly held early last year by Brazillian security authorities with illicit drugs. She died last week.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa(ACN-Lagos), who announced this at a press briefing yesterday, regretted that Mrs. Awosade died before she was found guilty of allegations of drug dealing.

“The very unfortunate thing is that this woman was yet to be found guilty of the charges levelled against her by the Brazilian authorities”.

According to the lawmaker, “It is a sad story. She died of high-blood pressure. It is even more tragic that she had already pleaded that she should not die in Brazil, but unfortunately she has died in a foreign country”.

Dabiri-Erewa however warned that ” there are lessons to be learnt from the tragedy”

She adviced other Nigerians who may likely fall into the same trap that “whether you know or you don’t know, it is not good to engage in illegal activities in Foreign Countries.

Her Deputy, Hon. Betty Appiafi(PDP-Rivers), said “The Committee had made several efforts while in Brazil and within the country to get the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intervene”, but added that it was unfortunate that the intervention came late.

The Committee had earlier in the year led a delegation to Brazil to investigate the allegations of illicit drug peddling against Mrs. Awosade, who until her death insisted that she went to Brazil for medical attention. The Committee had also looked into the cases of several other Nigerians still awaiting trial in the South American country.

mekaboy: [b]WHEN I ASKED FOR THE CAPITAL OF THIS COUNTRY TO BE MOVED TO THE EAST, YOU PEOPLE THOUGHT I WAS JOKING, HAVE U SEEN THE REASON ? THE ONLY REASON WHY THESE GUYS ARE GOING CRAZY IS BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THE CAPITAL IS IN THE NORTH. ASSUMING THE CAPITAL WAS MOVED TO THE EAST WILL THEY COME OVER TO THEY EAST TO ASK GEJ TO RENOUNCE HIS INTENTIONS ?

I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT THE NORTHERN LEADERS ARE BEHIND THIS BOKO HARAM NONSENSE THAT IS WHY THERE HAS BEEN NO SPONSOR AND NOTHING COMES OUT OF INVESTIGATIONS WHEN THEY ARE ARRESTED.

ATIKU----> THOSE THAT MAKE POSITIVE CHANGE DIFFICULT WILL MAKE VIOLENCE INEVITABLE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

BUHARI-------->> WE WILL HAVE WILD WILD NORTH

Gbammmm You got it right, they know that they don't have any chnce

SANUSI ------> WE ARE MARGINALIZED, THE PROBLEM IN THE NORTH IS POVERTY.

IBB --------> EQUIP THE MILITARY TO DEAL WITH BOKO HARAM( WHILE HE HAS STRONG TIES IN THE MILITARY, THEY WILL SHARE THE MONEY WHEN RELEASED)

ELRUFAI------> STEP DOWN IF U CANT HANDLE BOKO HARAM

PASTOR BAKARA-----> STEP DOWN

SENATE------>IMPEACH GEJ

BOKO HARAM -----> ACCEPT ISLAM AND RESIGN

AREWA-------> RENOUNCE 2015

YOU CAN SEE HOW THE WHOLE PLAN IS GOING DOWN?

THE SAME GEJ THAT BROUGHT IN A WORLD RECOGNIZED ECONOMIST TO ASSIST NIGERIA GET BACK ON TRACK, NGOZI OKONJI IWEALA. BROUGHT IN ONE OF THE BEST TO HELP TACKLE ELECTRICITY, BATH NNAJI.

PROBING INTO FUEL SUBSIDY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NIGERIAN HISTORY. GEJ IS TOUCHING THE UNTOUCHABLES, AND DOING THE THINGS THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN DONE IN NIGERIA, THAT IS THE REASON WHY ALL HELL IS BREAKING LOOSE ON HIM.

I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE AND WILL SAY IT AGAIN, NIGERIA IS PREGNANT, AND ALL THESE ARE SIGNS OF PREGNANCY, AT THE END OF ALL THIS WE ALL WILL BE GLAD AND THANK GOD.

AS FOR THE NORTH, THEY CAN KISS PRESIDENCY GOOD BYE, WITH ALL THE REFORMS GOING ON IN THE NATION. ALL THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT IS 2015. AND WE ALL KNOW THAT MAINLY THOSE THAT LOST IN ELECTION THAT ARE FUELING THIS VIOLENCE.

THEY HAVE TO ATTACK GEJ WITH ALL THEY HAVE, BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT IF GEJ MAINTAINS FOCUS, STICKS TO ADVISE OF PEOPLE LIKE OKONJI IWEALA ON ECONOMY AND BATH NNAJI ON POWER. AT THE END OF HIS 4 YEARS NIGERIANS WILL HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO RE ELECT HIM.
SO THEY HAVE TO DO ANYTHING POSSIBLE TO DISTRACT HIM.

WE ALL HAVE TO PUT GEJ IN PRAYERS, BECAUSE THE WAY THESE NORTHERNERS ARE DESPERATE FOR POWER, AFTER WARNING HIM TO ACCEPT ISLAM AND RESIGN, AND AREWA ASKING HIM TO RENOUNCE 2015 ELECTION. THE NEXT OPTION WILL BE ASSASSINATION. ITS CLEARLY WRITTEN.

Gbam , you are right my friend, they know that by 2015 things go don de better economically for naija people because GEJ reforms.

SportsRe: Team Nigeria's Poor Olympics Performance: Causes? by vanunu: 6:25pm On Aug 09, 2012
Apart from corruption, lack of school sport is primarily responsible, we no have private secondary schools without sports facilities and glorified state secondary schools all the Jamaican, Chinese and American sports men were started from school sports.
PoliticsRe: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by vanunu: 7:47pm On Aug 08, 2012
nagoma: I will not vote for him even if he does improve electricity. Because I am sure there are better Nigerians out there for the job of president at this time in world history .

In any case , I would be surprised if he did.
Stop making assumption, GEJ is the most democratic leader we have had since 1960

Health care
Energy
Security
Transportation
Job creation
Accepting resolutions drafted by the national assembly

I will not only vote for him, but also r------g for him. If he does that, it means that he has solved 40% of Nigeria's problem. Forget about boko tribalism and corruption.
PoliticsRe: Our Olympic Performance, A Reflection Of The Nigerian Nation by vanunu: 7:40pm On Aug 06, 2012
The reason why we are not performing is because we don't have school sports anymore. With school sports, you get the best sports men and women at a tender age. People like kanu, Mobi Chidi Imo Ajunwa, Rufina Uba, F Ogunkoya etc. all started from school sport.

Christianity EtcRe: Tunde Bakare Summoned Over Sermon by vanunu: 7:38pm On Jul 23, 2012
Some Nigerians always criticize without proffering any solution to the nations problem. This Pastor had a chance to be Nigeria's VP, but lost woefully in the election. GEJ will still win in 2015, if he still want to contest again, this because there is still no credible opposition around. The proposed merger between ACN and CPC just like the accord between The Tuarag.R and Ansar Dine will not work out.
