My colleague whose pension from his former employer rosed up to 5m was asked to wait till she turn 50 before accessing the money and when she turn 50yrs of age she will be given 15% of that amount and the rest will be spread 20k per month as long as she lives.

There are 2 scenarios, she can access 25% of her balance if she’s out of employment for a minimum of 4 months, after which she cannot access it again till she’s 50 yrs. The second scenario she will get 25% (if she decides to retire at age 50) and not 15% as stated, whoever told her she will get 20k per month is absolutely wrong. Her balance would be placed on a PenCom approved template to determine the amount she would be paid monthly. Note that the balance would not be stagnant as interest would keep accruing on it.

I rarely drop response on Nairaland, but this impression has to be corrected. I work in the Pensions Industry and I can state it for a fact that Lagos State is the most compliant state in terms of Pensions, they make monthly remittances worth billions of Naira for those still in active service and also make bond payments for retirees. Let’s stop thriving on fake news and fact check whatever is being peddled online.

I’ll suggest you ignore everyone asking you to buy their used phones. With your budget you can get a brand new average Samsung phone(though screens are quite expensive) or better still get a brand new Oppo phone(though I’ve never used it, but I know peeps that uses it and confirms it okay)

I'll keep saying this, lock down without massive testings and contact tracing is a pure waste of time and ultimate failure. What has the previous lock down yielded? We only had daily numerical increase in the viral infections. If Nigeria cannot afford to conduct a minimum of 10,000 legitimate tests per day. Then I see no reason for lock down, coz it will still be a waste and increased hardship.

I hardly comment on posts, but I had to respond to this.

I believe there are lots of wrong in this country. COVID19 is real in fact very real, but the way our government is handling it is such a pity. The effectiveness of a lock down is to conduct massive testing, but it's so sad that in a country of over 200million population we can only conduct about 2,000 tests per day this alone has defeated the aim of the lock down. In as much as I don't support total lock down, Nigeria may result into another lock down if the figures keeps spiking. But before a new lock down is put in place if need be, then the so called NCDC should increase their testing capacity to about 10,000 per day which will lead to better containment of the epidemic, but if you want to lock us down and still keep up with your minute and useless less than 2,000 tests per day then they are bunch of Jokers.

They better not touch that fund at all, else thunder that will strike them dead is already at their door. Useless government wanting to dip hands into everything.

It's a pity that this post is misleading. Both ICAN and ACCA has its own uniqueness and peculiarity. For those thinking of which one to pursue, it all depends on your choice, but note that there are some slight difference. E.g Nigerian Tax system is different from other countries, so taxation in ICAN and ACCA differs and if you're to practice in Nigeria, you must be versed in the Nigerian Tax system.

For further information, you can google it and have better knowledge than reading an unfounded criticism.

Do visit iCAN website and visit the student section, all study packs and pathfinders are there which you can easily download.

there are many company trying to scam people. I also did a researh and found our that there are alot of companies carrying MHS. I decided to go to the one at Opebi just to see. Plus I figured that address was right in the middle of Ikeja. A very public place. When I got there I discovered that the MHS @ ilupeju was a different company Management Health something. This one was Made Hills Solution and they are actually geniune. You see my brother sometimes it is better to see and believe hear say. Nairaland said MHS is a scam if to sey I follow dem sey na me for they suffer. instead of dem to give person work to do. at least show us where better vacancy dey. dem just dey destory opportunity for growth with proper physical not internet research.
