Why did Tinubuadvocate seek for Japa to Canada with his family? Why did Omojuwa run away to London after supporting Tinubu? That one has now forgotten suffering Nigerians and now talks about soccer, chai!

Tellmeastory:Nigerians and their self-deceit; visionary indeed! Visionaries that can't close OPEN GUTTERS around the state Visionaries that were collecting N300 lekki toll fee, yet COULD NOT PAINT LANE MARKINGS, EVEN TILL NOW, COMPARED TO THE 3RD MAINLAND BRIDGE THAT HAS FRESH LANES LIKE A PLAYSTATION CAR RACING GAME I dey go buy something now, I go post all the open gutter wen I see Something wey white man close since like 1900, na in, 2024 black man visionary still dey allow open gutter filled with poo |
OkCornel:Stop this rough play abeg |
Still looking for apc guy to explain the glitch |
Boys can send 10GB videos with MTN and Starlink But INEC CANT SEND a 5KB picture and madridguy, is soooooo happy about that. He really does love Nigeria, it’s the haters of Nigeria that want Nigeria to be able to send 5KB of data. The APC renewed Hope guys, hope that we never ever ever get to be able to send any data, but resort to biro. These guys really love this country though, look all that love. Who needs to be able to send all this 1MB, 100MB, 1GB… data? Why? We are Nigerians, and we demand to only be able to send 4Kb data max, and even at that, we might still GLITCH, but we, Madridguy and company don’t see any problem. It’s only yahoo boys that use data to send email and chat on nairaland and WhatsApp and x and so on, why should INeC be forced to do what it can do with biro? |
See all the APC riggers above so deathly afraid of any good thing, like “free and fair” elections. Almost like pouring holy water on a demon. They are discombobulated, shaky and unnerved, at the thought of Nigeria ever having an election that is indeed free and fair. So like demons they roam, seeking for ways to belittle and bury any thought of election reform whatsoever. |
What was the glitch that made INEC resort to using biro in this “WhatsApp” age, where dudes are spending videos and huge data to each other? This is not the age of dial up internet, so how come boys can send 2GB videos but INEC can’t sent 1KB image? Does any APC guy claiming the election was “free and fair” have any answer to this query? |
And probably ban you too, like mynd44 has already banned me 3 times this year, all for like 3-4 months, not for curses or abuses, but for saying truths. Well I guess this is another thread that will get me banned, but here goes. CAN ANY APC PERSON PLEASE EXPLAIN YHE GLITCH THAT INEC CLAIMED IT SUFFERED? HAS THAT GLITCH BEEN IDENTIFIED SO IT FOESNT REOCCUR? |
Remember when Trump was telling European leaders then to ween themselves off of Russian Energy dependency, and they were all laughing at him. Trust the media then to make the rounds about Trump embarrassment, yada yada yada Then Putin showed them shege To me sha, Trump stands for energy security and cheaper petrol prices. Hopefully this comes to pass. |
Habbeyy:Wish I could bro, but too busy. Maybe I will update the thread larrrerrrrr tonight. Y’all have a great Monday and a great week ahead. May all our endeavors and sweat this week be crowned with favor from Jesus, so we end up giving glory to God! Take care! |
For those coming to mock and abuse me, it’s already anticipated. One has told me to cry already, he/she doesn’t know I already cry to my maker and he has always been faithful in wiping tears from my eyes, as he will those who cry out to him. So you’re just wasting your time trying to deviate from the subject matter. |
simpleseyi:Someone like you must exist, that’s just how life is I guess. Have a great and productive Monday. |
How can we have so called leaders called presidents that won’t carry the people along in whatever their policies are? Without a Question and Answer session, the people are unable to dissect plans and ask pertinent questions which would give the leaders more points of view, and provide an opportunity to further breakdown policies, timelines, track progress on obejectives…, How can we pay so much for a President, buy him Billions in food, healthcare and transportation, yet the so called leader can’t deem it fit to have pressers with the people?? So the presidents job is to receive all that remuneration and then go hide away in the villa?? What a country men! |
Redhot111:I have never seen such before Does APC just elect presidents for their nominal titles, or to actually lead?? How can presidents hide away from people for 4 years and some are like, “he is too big to talk to you rats”. It’s painful. |
Remember when the north was flooded during Buharis time? With water reaching the roofs of some buildings? When you watch Hollywood movies featuring those types of disasters, don’t you always see the President address the people? However, during the flooding, Buhari traveled to France and didn’t say anything. How callous? I used to joke then, that an asteroid could hit Lagos, wiping out a whole city, yet Buhari wouldn’t say anything, instead they would announce his trip to London. Why are these guys called President if they are not gonna preside over the people?? |
That is more than a whole year without taking any questions from the citizens he is “leading”, via the press. That is like a teacher that has never seen the kids being taught. That’s like a coach hiding away from the players and never interacting with th. Yet, APC folks are confident he would win in 2027. Is this how they want a President to be? One that will hide away from the people for 4 whole years? Even non democratic countries like China and Russia have their leaders answer key questions from the press, talk less about democracies like America, where their leaders are hounded by the press and dare not escape them like in Nigeria. Buhari started this disappearing act with Femi Adesina encouraging it by telling us “it’s not Buharis style to talk to the people that elected him” GEJ held so many pressers and was always abused, but he held them, he kept the people informed, he answered their queries, carried the people along. APC presidents, Buhari and Tinubu, really have/had no business being presidents and being called “leaders” |
helinues:Thread has ONLY 300 VIEWS, YET HELINUES HAS 23 FAKE LIKES See ratio na, even front page topics no get the same kind like ratio, but on back page, 23 "People" don already like helinuesChai, hard work at 2:00a.m oooo |
Danisaint112:Who are the people that you are worried about for liking his posts? Don't you know that dude has like 50 accounts? You think it's strange, but if NAIRALAND is your job from 4:00a.m to about 11:00 p.m, don't you think you think you would also get multiple accounts? The goal of APC has always been to sway public opinion to distract from facts, so an old site like nairaland is easy for them to hijack and fake like themselves. I think they've noticed that nairaland is easier than twitter to form accounts and fake like themselves. Twitter pays real money, so if users do that, they could only get away with it for so long before admin or devs catch on. |
Nigerians make me laugh sometimes. See OPEN GUTTERS on almost every street in front of million-dollar homes in lekki/V.I, filled with poo, pee, algae, larva, trash, vomit, mud... yet those homeowners pay "TAX" to government. Do you guys understand just how intricate a refinery is? Do you know the size of some of the equipment? Like the Separators, Towers..? Do you understand the lead time involved in getting a replacement equipment for instance, or do you think it's like buying from jumia or aliexpress with few weeks delay? You really, really expect that your leaders that can't even cover open gutters and put filters, would somehow be able to deliver a project as complex as a refinery? The private sector in Nigeria, is what keeps Nigeria going, even when Nigeria is limping. Your Government across board has never cared about you, but, sadly, some Nigerians would rather attack their brothers who do care about them, to defend Politicians that already thought they were dead.

Quest7777:You do have a point here, as I believe you're saying tribe would still have come into play. I do however believe that a leader with the mentality of stonewalling the people, would also have a mentality of holding on to power at all costs, so GEJ would have banned things like protests, to make sure the voices of the people were silenced. We all know that this wasn't the case as under GEJ, the country witnessed some of its greatest protests with no threat to the protesters. It's still perplexing to me to be rating GEJ so highly now, even though at the time, I perceived him to be just average or slightly below average. I remember then, wishing for a president better than GEJ, but when APC brought out Buhari I almost vomited and ran to GEJ as though he was a shade under a tumultuous storm. How a country would ever consider a coup plotting dictator, with little to no education, as a democratic leader still befuddles me till today. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:Don't wanna be a tribalist, but no doubt, if Obi was President now as you said, the whole country would probably be on fire, literally, like tires on fire on streets in different states across the nation. |
Atuero:We are just so so wicked to ourselves as black people. Trust me if the man cared, he could even do sand leveling on the roads not ready for construction due to budget constraints. Let there be a traffic light that isn't working on a typical Nigerian road and say that non-working traffic light has been causing uncountable accidents. Give a typical Nigerian politician 1 billion dollars and 1 year to fix the light and at the end of the year, he will present the STILL NON-FUNCTIONING light, telling his people to be "be patient", that "these things take time" THEY JUST DON'T CARE AT ALL, LIKE NOT EVEN AN IOTA OF CARE DO THEY POSSESS. IT'S SCARY TO THINGK ABOUT, BUT THEY JUST DON'T CARE AT ALL AND IT'S SCARY TO REALLY SIT AND CONSIDER THIS BITTER TRUTH. THEY DO NOOOOT CARE ABOUT ANY MASSES SUFFERING. DIE, DON'T DIE, THEY JUST DON'T CARE Citizens need to start throwing petrol bombs at CORRUPT POLITICIANS when they see them in their LUXURY convoys |
That's Nigeria for you Goverment does nothing and blames predecessor. How many time since I was a child to now an adult have I read/heard Nigerian politicians saying to be "Patient, the rot is deep"? So no one was ever working ba? Every new governor/president talks like they just started ruling an abandoned plantation or something, or rebuilding a war torn area Ask this guy to pay a web developer 100k to list all the roads he is currently working on, the budgets, project timelines... See how he will go mute, mtcheew ![]() |
I remember when GEJ used to come out to interact with the public via the press I remember when GEJ used to visit sites to console with the victims of terrorism. I remember when GEJs wife was shedding tears that schoolgirls were kidnapped and Nigerians mocked her saying "There is God oooo" ... Buhari and Tinubu came and only "talk"(dictate) to the masses on special occasions like Newyear and Independence day, while Nigerians hailed them, saying they are too big to come out and interact with the LOWLY masses. Femi Adesina, even went as far as saying that TALKING TO THE PUBLIC is NOT BUHARIS STYLE and Nigerians clapped, saying in essence, that they were not worthy to even be thought about by their own president (incredible). |
Closed Gutters would OFFER SUCH A HUGE BOOST to tourism in Nigeria Not too many foreigners want to spend their hard-earned money to go on vacation to places with poo smelling open gutters. Imagine taking a stroll after buying Suya from a Nigerian restaurant, munching on the suya, then you look down by mistake and see a green bubbly concoction of filth that seems to be alive and breathing, while oozing a unique and pungent odor. Not too many foreigners that only get a week vacation will want to experience that, except the hardcore adventurers, the rest would rather go to an African Safari, or Maimi or wherever. |
Sanwolu and other Nigerians will visit U.K, Germany, France... and NEVER WILL THEY SEE OPEN GUTTERS. The same exposed Sanwolu will apologize to Lagosians for floods in Lagos with OPEN GUTTERS that litter almost every street, while blaming Nature. Ask Sanwolu to show you OPEN GUTTER like this in the U.K Our leaders must really hate and underate us in Nigeria, because all the money they are spending on SUV this and that can be paid to a contractor that would work on closing gutters and providing them with filters. We Nigerians must never see OPEN GUTTERS as a normal way of life, please. Let us pass down to our children, beautiful streets that aren't prone to flooding at the slightest of rains, and that aren't exposing people to unnecessary health hazards.
|
A quote from the Lagos government apology thread by a nairalander axglide:This is the typical response from an average Nigerian that sees absolutely nothing wrong with open gutters. We need to evolve as a people beyond this savage level of thinking OPEN GUTTERs in a society are okay. Mr Axglide, please note that you can never fully police everyone that litters in a society, even in advanced countries, well may China with their AI face tracking and cameras everywhere, but in general you aren't going to catch all the people that litter. The difference between a modern society and an archaic one it that, when you cover gutters and put filters on them, the litter would not get into the drainage system. |
Now Lagos State government has blamed it on Nature https://www.nairaland.com/8145347/lasg-apologises-residents-severe-flooding Yet they will leave OPEN GUTTERS on every street |
Imagine your bathroom sink had no strain filter and the drainhole got widened by 500% Don't you think, even by mistake, things would fall into that hole? Like your toothbrush, toothpaste, gunk... and clog the exit water pipe? See how your sinks don't get clogged because of a tiny hole and strain filter that prevent solid objects from entering and clogging the drain pipe. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO COMPREHEND FOR NIGERIANS? Instead, you want to start demolishing every home you can find, chai
|
See what an African man in Lagos Nigeria calls "DRAINAGE" Then when one small rain falls, they start getting confused on why there is flooding.

don already like helinues
